  • now this is a bargain! thanks!

    • !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made the order, received paypal receipt and the following message:

      The PayPal Transaction was canceled.
Your order has not been placed with NetPlus, but you can return to the checkout and try again with a diferent payment method.

      Additional Information
PayPal Payment Processing has failed. This is a bit unexpected, you may wish to check your paypal account and contact [email protected] before continuing.

I can see the money is gone from my credit card but can't find the order under my netplus account…

      • -1

        mine was alright….
your PayPal setting? Credit card expired?
Bought mine 3 min ago with Paypal and transaction went through

        • Paypal is alright. Credit card is charged. The error happens after paypal redirect me back to netplus website.

      • Call them mate, I actually got the same problem. Now the Paypal showing 2 payments. I called them and they said it will be refund.

      • I sent the email and got the reply saying that they will create the order manually…

  • will this work on mac??

    • edit: macbook pro mid 2010 model :)

      • +1

No, you don't want this for 2010 MacBook Pro. It requires PC3-8500(1066) and will not down clock this module.

    • -1

Seems to work fine for a few of the Amazon.com reviewers (different models that yours, but still).

  • +2

too bad mine only takes DDR2 :(

    • +1

DDR2 deal please, 4GB DDR2 SODIMM is freakin expensive compared to DDR3 =(

      • yes I notice also that, what do you reckon the reason is ?

        • +1

reason being not the main stream line of production anymore.
          DDR3 is being mass-produced now…hence cheaper!!

DDR2 buyers demand drops….manufacturer need to squeeze out a production line to produce small amount of DDR2 for small demand….plus the failure rate on making them…etc etc…
          So it's more expensive!!

Time to upgrade to a new computer!
More money to be spend by the look…!! OR JUST KEEP COMING BACK TO OZBARGAIN….definitely find a laptop bargain soon.

      • I need DDR2 as well!

  • How's Kingston compared with strontium?

    • for the last 15 years, PCs i built uses kingston exclusively… no issues with them so far.

    • +1

      Kingston is KING of RAM

  • +3

  • +2

      • About 3-4 times when it keeps saying "Service Unavailable" or something like that. I kinda figured the server got ozbargained hard LOL.

  • works with macbook pro 2011?

  • -1

Awesome! Thanks for this great deal!

I have just ordered 2 of them. This will take my new laptop I just got delivered today from 8GB to 16GB! Today has been a good day :)

    • +1

Why do you need 16GB of RAM on a laptop? Just curious that's all.

      • +1

        Because … well … because … it's a bargain!

Besides, the OS can always use the extra RAM to cache files.

    • +1

does your laptop has 4 memory slots?

    • hope your laptop can take that much, many can only take 2 stick… or 8GB MAX! :D

    • +1

haha..yeah..what kind of laptop did u have to get FOUR memeory slots.

  • @netplus: no i didnt, i've been asking for DDR3 1600! :D

LOL your server has gone down…
    "Service Unavailable"

    Mismatched String "NSW"

    checkout.asp

    :(

    • You might have your State and Postcode mixed up in your address details.

  • I give up - tried more than hundred times still can't get to checkout……

  • really sad, my dell xpsm1330 only takes ddr2, rep please any good deals for ddr2
    Good deal

  • ngaww can't checkout…

  • Service Unavailable!

    ozbargained

    edit: back up now~!

  • Are they 204pin? Wonder if they fit into my T420.

    • Yep, they're 204pin.

  • Nice deal. Ordered 2 myself. It'll be nice to increase the 4GB currently on my laptop, and it does have two unused SO-DIMM sockets.

Also had trouble with the site. Service unavailable kept on popping up. Just had to retry.

Very small inconsistency with pricing. The credit card surcharge said $0.97 on the website, but was $1.01 on the email sent after the order. Yep, it's small, but it's confusing to see.

Edit: delivery insurance also changed between website and email. A 10c increase.

  • ordered two…now I have spare 2x GB DDR3 sticks…

  • Thanks rep - bought one

Can anybody please confirm if this is compatibale with my Dell XPS 15 (current model)
    It currently got 4GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM (1 x 4GB)

    Thanks in advance

    • +2

Should work fine, as in 99.99% chance fine.

    • +1

Yeah, you can use the link http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=XPS%20L502…. Crucial ram check. Not an expert about RAM specs but pretty sure they are the same for XPS 15. I ordered one for my XPS 15 as well :)

      • Thanks inrockweareone and cyssero

Sorry - another Stupid question (as I'm not very good with hardwares)

For this current XPS model - Do you know if both DIMM / RAM slots are near the HDD?
Or unlike my previous Dell, 1 slot is under the keyboard? (which is a pain in the A$$)

I searched in Google - couldn't find any specific answer
Too scared to open check my laptop now (as it might void warrenty)

        • +1

http://supportapj.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/xpsL502X/en… This is the formal thing on Dell website (the current model - L502X). I'm quite sure that the laptop has a small lid at the bottom to access the ram. just beneath the JBL subwoofer or something. I saw the guy from Dell came to replace the flexy keyboard, he did that without touching the ram I believe.

  • finally worked..

anyone putting these into an iMac mid 2010?

the iMac has 4 slots so should be able to make it 12gb? (existing 4gb + 8gb)?

    • WOW…so it's iMac that has 4 slots?!
it's compatible for RAM to be up to 12GB!?
What u using 12GB ram for?! @_@ gaming?! or running a server there?!
Mine is i7 4GB now….and dont see any lagging already~~
So tempted to get one to up it to 8GB

  • Ordered two, thanks!

  • Site is screwed, I want this for my Macbook Pro.

    • just keep refreshing until it works lol

  • I have 1x 4gb stick in my Lenovo E320, will this fit in so i can have 8gb?

  • as for the title "you asked for it"

can we ask for a 580GTX for like $100 youll do it?

  • +1
