Crucial M4 SSD 128GB 2.5in - $200.85 AUD ($1,558.12 HKD) + Free Shipping - LinkeComputer.com

281

Found this deal on the www.linkecomputer.com website. Its a Hong Kong based stored and you can only pay by Paypal!

Item is listed as "Crucial M4 SSD Micron C400 128GB 2.5IN Solid State Disk Flash Drive SATA3 6Gbps - (Limit 5 per customer , Only 77 left at this price!, Available usually ships in 5-8 business days)"

The price in AUD works out to be $200.85 paying by paypal(crappy paypal conversion rates), but free shipping makes the deal worthwhile.

Cheapest on staticice.com.au was 238.70 AUD and $192.84( + Shipping AU $34.23) on ebay.

Probably not as sweet as the B&G deal from U.S.A posted a while ago, but still a good price.

PS: I have ordered few times from the website, and have been quite happy with their service till now.

Their prices don't seem beating local ones.

  • actually this may be cheaper :D

    B&H not B&G

  • Sorry my mistake.. thts right it was B&H …. :)

does it come with international warranty?

    Only $72,368.85 Zimbabwe Dollars

  • I get a price of $198.02 AUD on paypal. Woo!

Edit: Oh you must have selected insurance.

  • How does warranty work with this?

  • Does Paypal's guest checkout off a credit card use the credit card's exchange rate?

  • Don't use them. All may be good if you don't need warranty support, but if you do, it's bad, bad, bad.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure you just need to mail it back to Crucial from wherever you are. About $25 registered post from AUS to USA?

Can be ordered from B&H for roughly AUD$220 delivered. Or directly from Crucial's website for roughly AUD$240 delivered.

I'd be tempted to pay at least the extra $20 to know I don't have to deal with Hong Kong if an RMA should be needed. The quick research I've done seems to point customers back to the country of purchase for RMA purposes.

    • i had to RMA an ocz ssd i bought from these guys. Ocz asked where i bought it from before they would OK the return. I showed the reciept from Linke and they said fine. I've also just RMAed a hybrid drive i bought of them. Went through Seagate no problem. I think you will be dealing with Crucial for RMA anyway.

      • Sounds promising then. I'm about to start buying parts for a new build. Still deciding if $200-$220 for an ssd is worth fitting into my budget.

      • Was that RMA'ed within Australia or sent overseas?

        • Seagate was sent to Sydney (cost me $10)
The Ocz drive was picked up and delivered (no cost to me)
          all in rural Vic.

For $240 you can get it from pccg.

  • I notice some sellers advertise that the 'Data Transfer Kit' comes with this SSD. Does anyone know if it actually comes standard with all Crucial M4 SSD 128GB products?

    • i think you have to pay more for one with 'Data Transfer Kit'. I think the one listed in this page doesnt come with it.

      • Thanks. Yeah that's the way it looked to me too. I can't see these kits sold separately, so it looks like the only way to get one is when they're sold with a drive….?

    • When i bought the crucial SSD from B&H - there were data transfer kit options for both the 64gb and 128gb SSD, for a little extra of course.

Haven't used it much since I placed it in an older laptop - but am happy with the speed increase so far, and updating the firmware was quite easy.
