Well now I just don't feel safe.

    • +1

I mean, it's on back-order so not much they can do about it

      • why have me intentionally exposed to them! that's borderline terror :(

    • +8

      does it matter?

      • +7

Haha there's a dude I talk to who is like a pretentious wine snob with music classification…call it poop tunes, still gonna sound the same.

    • +12

They have been nominated for and won 'best metal performance' at the Grammys, in addition to numerous awards from Kerrang! and Metal Hammer magazines.

So you dont really need to imagine, its reality.

    • +10

Imagine being so shallow you feel the need to make that statement?

    • it's actually under the umbrella of "metal" more specifically "nu-metal"

    • +2

Yeah, everyone knows Jethro Tull are the only real metal

    • +4

I see the 12 year olds are on OzBargain now. Fords suckkkk broooo.

    • +6

Imagine still holding this view unironically in 2020

    • -8

You should have said "good metal"

Wouldn't have so many downvotes from the h8ers then lol

      • +1

        looks like you're incorrect lol

    • +1

I agree with the OP but disagree with "his" need to share that view.

I watched the Slipknot: Live at Download Festival 2019 video which premiered a bit over a week ago on Youtube

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QO3j9niG1Og&feature=emb_logo

Now I want to see them live.

    • +5

Have you listened to 9.0 Live before? It is the only live album I've listened to repeatedly, 10/10 would recommend it if you've got some spare time and some headphones!

      • +3

Nah, I only started listening to this music over the last 12 months, was playing it on drums in Rock Band so got a better ear and appreciate all the stuff going on in it now. So I just jump on Youtube music and let it take me wherever. Badass drums/percussion, guitar, bass, shouty vocals contrasted with harmonies…cool stuff. I'll have a listen to that album.

        • That's so sick, enjoy that album though!

      • +1

9.0 is one of the best live albums I have ever owned. So much energy and aggression. My favourite bus/train playlist when I was younger.

    • That was the first time I saw them live after my parents wouldn't let me in 1999.

I watched the video last week to see what the show was actually like when your not in a mass of sweaty, muddy people.

    I better watch this… before I forget.

    People=shit

  • +2

You can't take the masks off.

  • +5

when paul gray passed away it was one of the most somber moments in music history - just seeing them at the press conference as ordinary citizens was such a sobering moment given how they've seldom revealed themselves through out their career.

    • +2

      In music history? Big call.

isolate it all, isolate this world, isolate everything you stand for

    • Haven’t you got the memo. You’re not allowed to make jokes about COVID on here…… apparently.

their music resonated with me when i was going through high school. i think i stopped listening after Subliminal Verses

      • +1

Lol I had my Metallica, iron maiden and Sepultra phase through high school (long long ago) … I've now watched all the Metallica concerts they released on YouTube recently… Will check this out too..

    • I was expecting the whole 'metal isn't music' thing too

    • +1
