This is a big price drop.
Plans with more Data options Available also.
No Plan Cancellation fees Only have to pay out device.
Which is $657.36 64Gb Model

I noticed that the Ipad 7th prices have gone up so possibly a mistake and someones mixed up prices?
Have a look at retail prices for these models compared to these prices. Most big retailers have the 256gb Cellular for $1197 to $1199 .It is a great deal if it lasts.
Update I called an Optus store and they confirmed they are on discount at the moment.
Flybuys link if you have flybuys you can get 2500 Bonus points (equivalent to $12.50 in shopping value) if you stay with the plan a minimum of 3 months.

      Thanks again fozzie. I couldn't re-claim the 2,500 flybuys points as Optus rightfully said that the offer is not directly from them.

      This free 12 months Apple TV+ is a nice consolation price. Took me a while to work out why so many movies cost money to watch. Just don't let the kids watch the shows unsupervised! ;D

    For anyone who has cancelled the plan after the first month, could you please let me know if the invoice says its for a cancellation/termination fee or iPad?

    I called the Optus sales team, they said the Ipad air 64GB device was on promotion for $657.36 total over the plan but if i cancel my sim early, i will lose the promotional pricing and the amount i will need to pay for the device will increase to $820.
    I called another rep and he said it's possible to buy outright but will need to be at the store.
    Called the store rep and he said there should be no extra charge but then went to double check and confirmed that the device price increases if you cancel the sim plan but no fee for the sim. They said it's possible to buy outright but their systems were down.
    I'll see if i drop by a store and pick one up.
    Seems like YMMV depending who you get..

        On my Optus app it says $696.96 because one month payment has been detracted for the 256gb IPad.

    I just bought this in store and she just put it on ‘1 month term’ so effectively will buy it outright in first month (if that makes sense!).
    Total $775
    Anyway, I haven’t opened the box yet and want to buy apple care, but after putting in serial number it says device not eligible!
    Does anyone know why this is the case? Because it’s from Optus??

    Guys be careful , check your allowance if you are not paying upfront. Went to check and it’s showing only 5gb . Chatting to them now about it
