    $3.80/L…?

Unless you own a business, there's no reason to purchase 24 bottles of these.

    • Exactly great for businesses.

      • +1

Based on pricing, they will most likely be close to use-by date (which makes it difficult to resell as a business).

      • +6

Ummm for some reason I don't think businesses pay $3 a bottle at Woolworths lol.

        • +2

You might be surprised by how many small supermarkets buy from Colesworths to resell.

      • That is expensive even for businesses. Call Sydney wide distributer they sell for way cheaper

  • +13

$3.82 a litre. Sorry, but that is absolutely terrible value.

  • +13

Why would you pay cinema prices when you aren't going to the cinema?

Also 5 toilet rolls for $5.50

This is event trying to make a quick buck because it's got no income. Shameful.

Possibly the worst deal in OzBargain history…

Haha did a 9 year old post this or something lol

  • When are drive ins going to re open?

    • +1

When the government allows them to: http://www.dromanadrivein.com.au/

Not that there's much point though, there probably won't be any new movies released for a while so they'll probably only be screening stuff you could stream at home.

      • +1

Rather pay 25 bucks to the local drive in to see The Invisible Man with my daughter at a drive in with shitty sound and the whole hot and cold and mozzie dilemma than 25 to see it on my home tv.

This is pretty much wholesale cost for 600ml bottled coke. People don't understand that 600ml soft drink bottles are way more expensive due to their convenient size, shops buy them in for around $2.40 a bottle.

As a "home user" I would rather go for the 32 Chop Tops for $65

  • +1

I feel the urge to neg because this is such poor value and you would need to go out of your way to the drive in to pickup, but I won’t neg because I feel sorry for these businesses with little to no customers at present.

  • Trying to sell stock that wont be used for a while…

Better selling it cheaper than throwing it.

  • I know a tuck shop in nsw was doing a warehouse sale with gumption cleaner for 5 dollars. Wow. Some of thee places are really full off themselves.

  • The 1.25L was in Coles yesterday for $1.50 each. No deal.

  • This is literally $55 for 14.4L. Just checked wooli has the 1.25L for $2, which is not even half as expensive.

    • I think the “deal” may be more targeted at small businesses to resell at a profit.

Hmm might pick up uncooked "Margherita Pizza Base 6 Pack" for $52 while i'm there - hang on…..these guys are delusional.

Can get the same m and ms and maltezers for $2.12 at woolies!

    Ouchy

  • +1

Pretty good deal considering these generally sell for around $3 each at woolworths

If you're already at woolworths, might as well grab the 1.25L bottle for $1.5-$3.0

  • +1

Is the drive in still open? It could be argued that their patrons could social distance (in their cars) and it should be fine if the passengers of each car are from the same household.

    • +1

But you can only use the car for essential travel

    • And if you are in an 8-seater and its full of family members, you need 32 sq meters of space (1 person per 4 sq metre rule as a business) :)

    • Nope, classed as a non-essential service so not allowed to operate.

  • I assume these guys are trying to sell at cost to get rid of stock. As per comments above, that seems about right for cost price.

Anyone other than supermarkets gets a fairly average deal from Coke, which is why everyone buys cans from supermarkets to sell at takeaways/grocers/bottleshops etc. $2.40 seems a ridiculous cost price, but it's about right - Coke knows you can't buy this specific product anywhere else and stings re-sellers for it.
