Buying 4 with the intention to make a profit.. Sleazebag.
What is your grievance exactly? Having to pay over the odds because for something some guy got luckier than you in what effectively was a lucky dip? Having spent half my morning trying to score ONE and failing, if the guy managed to get 4 at that price I say good on him. He definitely didn’t spoil for all. This has really affected you, clearly.
PS - If the receipt says “$122.xx” on it, you bought a Google Home Max, and you’re in the wrong place.

If RRP is $299 - and some guy bought it 4 for $99 each let's say - for arguments sake let's assume his purchase of 4 went through and was honoured.
Then he waits for the price error to be fixed back to $199, then he sells it to for $159.
He makes a $50 profit, and you make a saving of $40.
He then gives you the receipt for warranty purposes which shows $99 - the warranty is still valid no matter the price on the receipt.
So why should he be reported? All parties benefit in this scenario.
So, another scenario - let's assume he is greedy - and he prices it for $349. You don't do your homework, and blindly pay $349 for it, even though it is above RRP.
It's still not a reportable offence - there is no law that someone can't sell for over RRP - most likely no one will buy it if priced that way, but it's still not illegal, and people can price things at whatever they like.
The exception of course, are people who are doing this sort of thing with COVID-19 related merchandise - face masks, hand sanitisers, loo roll, etc - both eBay and Amazon will pull listings where people are profiteering off these items.

Anyone got a screen grab of the Good Guys or Officeworks website showing the lower price? I'd like to do a price protection claim on my credit card for one I bought earlier. I thought someone must have it, a screengrab is the first thing I'd do if I saw such a good price, avoids a lot of arguing later on.
