not an overly great price for a ex lease referb….check ebay.

    • Got my dad one with around the same specs for around $80. No KB or mouse though.

EDIT - Nevermind I think it was around $120.

      • Good price was it the same Lenovo M55e?

        • Nope it was an HP.

    • I went to their site through ebay only. This shop has plenty of ref. boxes over the ebay. Check it out

    • Consider also assembling a cheap new one isn't that overpriced. :)

      • No idea about assembling PC :) So I always buy ready box!

Your deal isn't too bad if we see it by the merchants point of view, although you can still ask for your spare parts to be assembled for around $50 and you'll have a computer 4 times faster and better performing than this one :P

    • I think, you pay $20 more for the warranty, which is 1 year here and 3 months in budget pc.
Edit: but budgetpcs has 160gb HDD.
So this one is not that great.

      • Yeah you r rite but I hav external one so I was more concern about other specs.

Seriously, I'd happily pay the extra $20 for the extra warranty and a less chunky box.

        3 months is not enough.

        • yes, I am really happy as this has 1yr warranty in just $159 as well as its CORE2DUO which is I guess (read somewhere) more powerful compare to Pentium!

    • I have been to this site as well but there I was gettin E6300 1.86GHz & 3 months warranty :) Here I am getting 12 months warranty with E6400

Here is it: brand new, latest technology, faster, atx case, 1 year warranty.

Mouse and keyboard you can buy at computer market for around $20 or brand new for around $30.

    • +2

      YESsssss…. that is very nice.

But $293 is like ALMOST DOUBLE the price of this deal.

      • -3

Yet it's double price but only $300 for a usable and brand new computer.

But if you need a computer like the one from this deal for using word processor or sending e-mails, then go for it :)

        • yeah this pc is for my normal uni assignments. I seen the new one in Ebay as well but it was like double.

        • Do you realise that a few years ago, people were doing animation, playing games, editing movies, etc.. on simgle core machines with about 1/10th of the power of this box?

My main computer is an old P4 2.6GHz. The ONLY thing that chokes it is encoding/recoding video (which it is trying to do right now, and it's taking forever).

All you need for Internet, Email, Powerpoint, Grpahics editing, using Word for typing assignments, etc is like an old P3 800MHz processor. In fact, I used to do all that kind of stuff on a Celeron 300a overclocked to 464MHz, which was an absolure BEAST at the time!
          - yet an android telephone with those specs is considered "crap" now days ROFL!

Core 2 duo one is also more than usable. I have my Core 2 duo T8100 Laptop, still working so good and sturdy.
So for a Desktop with this spec, it is much better than tht P4.

For this price, they are good value for money.

      • +1

        Much better than P3 too!

  • its 2nd hand computer for this price, not a good deal…

    • It's only $159 for Core2Duo..

I think the deal is ok.
assume the computer is $50, that's only $109 for 12 months warranty, which is pretty good :)

    • Only $109??? So why I shouldn't spend this money on a new computer which includes warranty??
      Your opinion anyways.
