Tasmanian Heritage Soft Cheeses 250g $5.90 (save $5.90) including Ash Brie @ Coles

180

I don't know why I love paying for inedible food haha but this Ash Brie is so good and cheaper than the current Coles/woolies cheap soft cheese.

The other types (brie, Camembert etc) are likely on special but this is the only one I care about. Amazingly good for ash brie lovers.

I feel like it's cleaning my insides haha. No scientific basis for this lol.
But I have had a 125g block in one sitting and experienced no side effects. Please see the PDS and consider if this product is right for you.

Credit to my other half for buying this before I found it.

So I don't know from what I read if you are a cheese expert or the exact opposite.

    • Ha! I have a bit of experience with microbes, you could say, but I have chosen to remain ignorant towards Tassie heritage.

And I also once returned a French cheese because I thought it was off, only to be told it was meant to smell like that. Mmm, not cheese connoisseur.

The characteristic flavor of blue cheeses tends to be sharp and salty. The smell of this food is due to both the mold and types of bacteria encouraged to grow on the cheese: for example, the bacterium Brevibacterium linens is responsible for the smell of many blue cheeses, as well as foot odour and other human body odors.

        • LOL! Yeah that bold type, (bold smell actually) was exactly what I smelt, and thought surely not!
I have not smelt anything so foul in Australia. Parisians must have higher tolerance levels…

Always use the other half, you know, just in case.

  • I hear they use this stuff to poison pests in some parts.

    • Rly? I can understand using it as a soft bait for nice and rats… But poison!

  • These are on sale for $5.90 every now and then

    • Yeah, I remember it a few months ago.
