  • Been selling for over 3 weeks to public I had an order arrive last week 4 toppings and milkshake dispensers

    • What flavor do you recommend?

      • Blu heaven and banana

  • The milkshake flavourings are between 53 and 58 percent sugar.

      ….and?

    • +2

Ever read the back of an ice break?

    • Chocolate flavour 27g sugar per 30ml serve of syrup -equivalent to around 6 teaspoons (4g sugar per teaspoon)
Strawberry flavour 26.7g sugar per 30ml serve of syrup

      Also
Fresh orange 6cm diameter has 9 grams sugar ie around 2 teaspoons sugar.
Carman’s Classic Fruit & Nut Muesli Bars hs 7.8g sugar ie around 2 teaspoons sugar.

Percentage isn't a good measure of quantity.

      • Its far closer to 7 tsp by your own measure,

Also, are you just drinking the syrup straight?

No, you're adding milk (5g/100g). Also, anyone that makes milkshakes with only syrup and milk is doing it wrong, you also add icecream. And alot more than you care to admit. Icecream has a truck load as well, conservatively 20g per 100g.

        250g milk - 12.5g
        100g icecream - 20g
        poison syrup - 27g

Thats ~60g sugar in a normal sized milkshake, equivalent to 15 teaspoons of sugar.

Try eating 7 Carman's bars or 7 oranges in 1 sitting and see how you feel. Percentage is a perfectly useful measure of qty if you know how to interpret it.

Get the chololate and start making Mocha coffees. A dab of the choc syrup in cup. Shot of Expresso coffee. Throthed milk. Stir. Gold. Use to go to Panettes near South Melb. Market and that was how they made theirs. Non if this powered chololate.

Assume the bottles were alot more expensive when
    before covid.

  • Can you pick up from Epping? Also is that dispenser like way overpriced?

    • not really - look up a Cottee's dispenser on eBay

      • Couldn't find the $65 version. The toppings are at least half price compared to Ebay

    • I don’t think they do pick up unfortunately.

  • The gravy any good? I usually get those Maggi commercial tubs but they’re not in stock in my normal places.

    • Better than Maggi

  • Are these toppings any good? Been craving vanilla, caramel but only if good quality flavours.

Any idea on the expiry and how long it lasts after opening?

    • 6 months expiry it says but I’m sure syrup/sugar lasts 2 years

    • these are great! used commercially and the caramel one is sooo nice on icecream

I just read their reply to this question on Facebook. Expiry 12 months after opening.

Pass. It's no-gmo, kosher certified, and halal certified. No thanks. How much cheaper could it be without all that crap?

    • +3

It would likely be more expensive “without all that crap”.

Their market would shrink, which would decrease revenues and lower their buying power on materials, increasing overall business costs which are then passed on to the current buyers.

Its a fare point, they are largely nonsense profiteering rackets (some certifiers being highly manipulative), but the more people that buy into it perpetuates the silly perceived benefit/need. In no way are consumers better off as far as pricing goes, its all a joke on our dime.

  • Anyone know what the drinking chocolate mix is like? I usually buy Swiss Miss from Costco but this one seems to have more cocoa.

    • I can’t see it, maybe your looking a wholesale products? Not for all of us

      • It’s definitely there. 2kg.
