While numerous animes have unfortunately been put on hold because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, some other titles such as the classic Sailor Moon are offering to keep you entertained during this downtime by making their old episodes freely available on YouTube. Now, following in those footsteps is Mobile Suit Gundam 00, currently streaming for free on the Gundam franchise’s official channel, with English subtitles included.

For those unfamiliar, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 is the franchise’s 11th installment, and spans across 50 episodes in two seasons, with a bonus movie at the end as well. As usual, it follows various factions fighting over resources, and its official description reads:

“The year is 2307 A.D. Although fossil fuels have been depleted, humanity has obtained a new source of energy to replace them, in the form of a large-scale solar power generation system based on three huge orbital elevators. However, the benefits of this system are available only to a handful of major powers and their allies. In this world of never-ending conflict, a private armed organization appears, dedicated to the elimination of war through armed force. Its name is Celestial Being, and it is in possession of “Gundam” mobile suits.”

      I've only watched Gundam Wing, but it was amazing. Maybe it's time to watch other Gundam animes.

      Local, Hobbyco (a bit expensive), metrohobbies, littlerobot etc. Overseas, HLJ / Banzaihobby. Just look up buy gunpla online / Australia.

      Amazon, ebay both are probably your best bet, although that's not saying much. Honestly in Australia we tend to get murdered on shipping (light weight but very bulky sets), the sets are surprisingly cheap in Japan and oddly enough China.

      BanzaiHobby or HobbyLink Japan.
      The former is cheaper, but the latter has a better catalogue and system to search! If you really value your net-shopping experience or you are a beginner to Gunpla, HLJ is better. But please note cheaper is better :)

          it usually depends on what kind of kit you would like to buy - the delivery price relies on its volume and weight.
          For example, normally High Grade gunpla kit is 0.7kg per pack. Air parcel normally would charge $15 - $20 and deliver in 20 days, EMS $20+ in 2 weeks. DHL… forget it cuz it's too expensive.

          I just checked both websites, due to the COVID-19, many flights are cancelled…which means delaying and more expensive cost… Shipping cost is not good…
          For Banzaihobby, there is only Sea method for $25 for just a 0.5kg High Grade kit.
          For HLJ, for just a 0.5kg High Grade Kit as well, DHL Express for $40+ (1-3 business days) and FedEx Priority $60+ (2-5 business days).

          Maybe just go to local stores of HobbyCo or Zombster rather than online shopping at this point of COVID-19 lockdown…

    One of my all time favourite series. Brilliant. The first few episodes are a bit slow, but gets super exciting around the tenth episode (going of memory of when I first watched it…might worth a rewatch)

    I have seen nearly all the gundam series and i rate this one up there with the best, This is a great Stand alone gundam series as it has no ties to other gundam series AT the moment

    I'm watching Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, very good so far. Started with Gundam Wing and also watched a bit of Gundam G. Amazing how I ignored gundam for so long. You can see that there is a high production value.
