    • Ah, you're a true OzBargainer! Need never comes into it ;)

  • ok the server was down before lol

  • Just purchased two, thanks!

  • I got some of these earphones in a 4 pack a while back, the sound is great but blimey the 'microphonics' sounds you get when you bump the cable with them in your ear are horrific. Walking with these on is like walking through a war zone.

They're awesome head phones if you keep your head still, but I had to get rid of mine as I couldn't stand it :(

  • Just purchase 2 code still working. Thanks.

  • just grabbed two, thanks

  • Thanks got some

  • Works for me. Just ordered.

  • Just ordered too

  • very nice deal, ordered one. Thanks COTD.

great deal! its even cheaper than the logitechshop 4 UE200s for $35 - http://www.logitechshop.com.au/products/specials/4x-ultimate…

  • +1

    Still working here:
"Order confirmed, thanks for shopping with us!"

These have gotta be better than the standard iphone/ipod headphones. IMO $5 shipping is a bit much, luckily the coupon code fixes that!

  • does it contain remote?

    • No remote on these i believe.

      The remote version is UE200vi.

  • just bought. Hope they deliver in timely manner

    • Last time I bought something from COTD, I got it within 3 days.

It's a good deal as such, but the Logitech UE 200 is a hopeless product in my opinion.
I go through a lot of earpieces listening to podcasts while walking, usually cheap earpieces after long experience and much waste of money. I don't need great audio quality for voice and I find that, no matter what the brand or style, none of them last a year before developing a loose connection or falling to pieces, even though they are gently treated; most self-destruct around 6 months.

I bought 4 sets of Logitech UE 200 $35 delivered from Logitechshop on a previous OzBargain deal. That was fine as it went.

But the earpieces themselves are the worst product of this type I have ever used. Every session I wear them, I feel like smashing them with a hammer in frustration so nobody ever has to endure them again.

There are widespread reports of unequal volume straight out of the packet - my first pair developed this problem after a day. As they go deeply into the ear canal, I initially thought it might be a mechanical fit issue but no, it's the volume from the driver. And inexpensive mp3 players won't let you compensate by altering balance.

The major problem is that their fit is the worst of any type of earpiece I have ever used.

They come, helpfully (it first appears), with 6 pairs of differently-sized rubber shrouds. I have tried all 6 sizes (reviewers generally suggest you start small and work up) and I find that, with the first 4 sizes, the earpieces fall straight out in seconds (even after being deeply inserted).

With the largest sizes, immediately after being implanted, they start oozing out, and then they fall out.

This happens even sitting with no body movement. It gets worse once you move or walk. You need both hands free to constantly re-insert each of them.

In my experience, the design is so poor that they barely fit the definition of "merchantable quality" - i.e. being fit for the purpose for which they are sold.

Even though I am listening to just voice podcasts, the sound quality is woeful. There is no bass, even in voice, and it is very much a "voice talking into a tin can" experience with thin, weak sound, bass-cut and treble-cut.

So: bad design, poor build, poor sound quality. They are not worth more than very little money at most. I am glad people are not paying more than $10 a pair - they are a waste even at that.

      cool story bro

    • +1

      tl;dr cliffs?

    • Disagree.

I bought 4 pairs on the logitecshop sale. I was suprised by their build quality, and I found them very comfortable. they sit better in my ear that then logitech UE700 which I also purchased.

havent had any issues with them apart from losing a pair when some bastard stole my nintendo DSi. Sure they aren't amazing, but for their price they are amazing.

      • +2

are you guys talking about the same product?

        • I think so, but I am not a pretentious audiophile critisizing a $5 set of headphones. only thing I agree with is that the large tips are not great quality and don't fit your ears very well.

if you live by "you get what you pay for", these are a damned good deal. I personally love the fit of them and would recommend these for anyone buying a set of earphones for their PSP/DSi/128k MP3s or even better for your kids.

Whats even better is that at this price, you buy 2 pairs (or 4 from logitechshop), show your kids the RRP of $40, show them one pair you bought just for them, and hide away the other pairs so they wont say "oh i lost them, can i have another?" two days after getting them.

You will always have the spares there that they need not know about unless they are lost.

  • Does this come with the 3 different sized earbuds?

    • +1

"Five pairs of soft silicone ear cushions (sizes XXS to L) "

  • Limit 2 per customer :( I'm gonna need more than two the way I go through headphones..

    • +8

I have a habit of leaving them in hotels. You can follow me around and collect them if you run short.

My previous 2 sets of UE200s are somewhere in Japan and Queensland. Let's see where this next 2 sets end up.

  • got 2 pairs thanks cotd and no crashing or even slow loading!
ps don't know why you would only buy 1, i mean the code which gives you free ship is worth like almost $8 by itself, might as well have spent another fiver and still have change left over…

    • +9

Because I have only one set of ears.

      • haha! but i bet you have only one set of feet but you have more than 1 pair of shoes! i gave you + for dat!

        • +3

But not two pairs of the same shoes :P.

  • Yeah…just got two pairs!!!

  • Awesome. Nice price.
If these are better than my MetroFi 100's i'm gonna be very happy indeed.

    • +1

      nope, too bad.

they are decent but not as good.

  • I bought a pair couple weeks ago from Dick smith for $19.95…
D'oh…. Thought it was a good deal.

  • +4

I just bought a Westone 3, a Logitech UE600, and a Feels Pro900. So why did the heck did I buy this?

    Cause its a BARGAIN :D

  • Am I the only one that despises these types of earphones that plunge right into your ear canal?

I gave them a try once and returned them the very next day. Give me a pair of regular iPod style earphones any day over these.

    • +1

In a discussion about in-ear earphones?
      Quite likely. :)

    • Regular iPods don't fit everybody.

  • This coupon could only be used 1000 times. So expired?

    • must be expired , as no discount when i when i went to pay…bummer.

  • code is not working

  • I ordered at 2.58pm and got an Order Confirmation. Just in time ;]

  • In response to all the posts about build quality etc, I probably should have checked before purchasing, but what's the warranty on these? 12months? If faulty, who do we return to, COD or logitech or elsewhere? I'm assuming we pay postage on RTB warranty?

    • 24 month warranty

      • heh, my bad, should have read the description. Who do we return to if faulty?

    • +5

For $8 would you really care to go through the hassle?

      • +1

Possibly, it would depend on the terms and conditions. Perhaps they're banking on offloading these cheaply so that when they fail, nobody questions the quality of the product and thus doesn't request a refund/replacement? I'm not familiar with what "24 month limited hardware warranty" actually covers.

    • seriously for $5 headphones, why bother

  • can't get the coupon to work, entering during payment saying invalid

    • you don't need the coupon code
edit: Coupon was for free shipping, which is no longer available as it ended at 3pm

  • Thanks COTD!!!

    • +2

Yeah ta cotd. The only danger with these deep plugin earphones is when I turn the wrong way in my office chair and accidentally yank one out. The 'plunger' affect sucks. Literally.

I swear I found a little piece of my brain on the wall the other day.

      • +1

        +1 to that
        It hurts the ears

But in-ear earphones are the only type of earphones i use now, so i guess im used to it

      • +1

I swear I found a little piece of my brain on the wall the other day.

You shouldn't swing so fast on the chair.

        • maybe some kind of other office activities left unmentioned? LOL

  • damn i wanted 4 pairs for the family. Oh welps. Gotta be happy with 2 :D

    Thanks COTD

    • mine say max of 10

      • Did you pay for shipping?

        • i don't plan to buy any, but

          10 x Logitech UE200 Noise Isolating Earphones $50.00
          Sub-Total: $50.00
          Queensland Shipping: $16.23
          Total (inc GST): $66.23

          10 UE200 for $66.23, or $6.623 each is cheap

        • But this deal was for $5 each shipped (the code got rid of the shipping fees).

        • But this deal was for $5 each shipped (the code got rid of the shipping fees).

The free shipping code limited you to 2 pairs though.

Even with paying the post on 10 pairs, it averages out to only $1.62ish each for post, so they're still cheap if you want that many pairs

  • Hmm I like the look of the $129 3DS - is that deal still to come or is it over already??

    • Still to come.

    • It's a Tuesday Flash Deal
Im assuming it's for next tuesday(well one of the items in the background), you can subscribe to get notified

I'm interested in the BENQ monitor!

      • me too… damn i missed it….

        • Either my windows clock is off, or they're selling REALLY fast. Refreshed at 20 seconds past the hour and it was already all gone.

  • Wonderful! Can't get a pair of decent earphones for that price anywhere these days

  • managed to get a couple

    thanks!

  • +4

It amuses me that the general OzBargain community goes from hating on COTD if they post a mediocre deal to defending them if they post what is perceived to be a "good" deal :P

    • +1

Doesn't that happen all the time? Just like ShoppingSquare and their SGS 2 fiasco.
People either give up really easily or they don't really mean what they say.

    • Welcome to the intarwebz

  • +1

    That's my SHHHHH

  • Uh Oh. I forgot to enter the code. Does COTD have a call center? I shot an email but it said they will respond within 48 hours. Help! :(

    • (Original free shipping coupon code was finished at 3pm, now it works out to $7.95 delivered for the first pair and $6.47 for subsequent pairs)

The code was finished approx 32 minutes ago, but for $2.95 delivery, it's cheap!

    • Code already expired 30min ago. Dunt bother

    • I ordered before 3. They refunded my shipping costs within 2 hours. Great service! It's been so long since I've frequented COTD… maybe it's time to return :)

  • +2

Was going to buy a set but the delivery charge has knocked the shine off the bargain

  • +2

sucks I missed out on the free shipping probably won't buy them now, took the bargain feeling away form it all. While considering "lepenseur" short review and no more free shipping. COTD can stick it (:

But something tells me they'll sell out anyway so it makes no difference whether I buy them or not.

  • +2

i bought one just for the case. am i weird? :p

  • Just saw this now, been in meetings all day.

So what other deals have they had so far today other than these:

    $5 Logitech Headphones
    $5 Nerf Strike
    $49 Nikon Coolpix

    • A camcorder thing…

      • Cool, thanks for that :) Just set Outlook for hourly reminders - looks like I'm gonna be here till midnight..

  • What does the code do? I did not use it either and it was $5

    • code was for free shipping, however code ended @ 3pm
But shipping is $2.95(which is cheap)

  • Hi QQQ,

I've forgotten to put the coupon in on one of my order, can you delete or amend the order for me? The order number is: 2612929. Thanks.

    • (Original free shipping coupon code was finished at 3pm, now it works out to $7.95 delivered for the first pair and $6.47 for subsequent pairs)

The code was finished approx 36 minutes ago, but for $2.95 delivery, it's cheap!

    • -1

I have ordered 2 and my order number is: 2613488, please help to amend the order for me. Thank you.

    • too late! what issh was probably saying is there was a limited number of free shipping codes, once they're gone there are no more, so as of 3pm they were all given out, so the next person after you to order these got your code

    • if the order numbers are sequential then you ordered before 3pm so you were entitled to free shipping.

I did the same thing and emailed customer support. All fixed with refund. Great service from catchoftheday.

  • Guys, I wonder this might be the refurbished version…..

  • +4

    Its brand new.

    • Hi rep. I tried to order the Nikon camera but failed. However, my credit card was still charged. What do I do?
