I'm think the original price of $4.99 is a bit dubious. A 29 LED one (http://www.meritline.com/29-led-bright-portable-camping-ligh…) which looks much funkier is only $2.49. Plus another 28 LED one is only $1.27 but that one's sold out.

"Meritline charged my credit card on June 17 even item was out of stock. Did not receive until July 15!! Most businesses charge credit card when shipped. How about it Meritline? The on/off switch is defective. Lights flicker until you play with the switch to get them to stay on. The fold out hanger is IMPOSSIBLE to unfold with your finger as there is no room to fit your fingernail. You'll need a small screwdriver or point of knife. There's potentially useful information printed on the box, but you can't figure out what they are saying as there are non words, wrong usage of words, and mis-spellings making everything unintelligible. They need better translators in Hong Kong!"

You want a kick ass, beautiful cozy warm light, try a gas fired one. These emit 'cool' (7-11 bright) light. Little more than 99c though I'll admit.
