    • +4

I thought I actually missed the pop up for a sec lol.

    • +1

"exactly how much time have you wasted on Click Frenzy this year?"

  • +4

[EXCLUSIVE PREVIEW] Question: How much wood could a wood chuck chuck if a wood chuck could chuck wood?

So Telstra's instagram is covered with Andy Lee
Telstra's variation of Footy is Dice Footy or ADFL
Iphone 11's launch date was 20/09/2019

Telstra has 5 click frenzy deals (3 unique deals)
Telstra now has 46 5G towers

    LOL Im sad… i know

    • i did the exact same thing (well the counting the phones part) haha

      • +1

Did we get the same number at least :P I just gave everyone the answers….

    • +3

I hope you win you true warrior

    • I'll pre-emptively say you're a genius and thank you for letting me win

      • +5

If any of those answers win I want your old phone

    • +1

Sadly, the most expensive items are usually guessing questions. Good luck though!

      • +12

    • +2

  • +2

I think the question will be something about COVID-19 being linked to Telstra's 5G towers. Stay tuned folks.

    • A: Bill Gates?

  • Almost 10:30PM and no legitimate questions been shared, someone needs to turn it off and on.

  • -12

Question: Where is Forrest Fenn’s Treasure hidden?

    • +2

      Rocky Mountains!

      • -2

    • +10

      nope

  • +3

i have a feeling its gonna pop up with 1 min to go

  • Had anyone here actually won anything?

    • Yeah, some people won the TV’s and someone else won a UE Boom.

    • some guy a bit further up said they got the tv someone else said the got the google thing

    • +2

I won the UE Boom. Says it takes 3 weeks to dispatch after paying.

      • did u get on straight away?

      • Congratulations!

      • Oh congrats; how does it actually work? Do you buy it directly from CF? or do they give you a coupon from like jb hifi?

        • clickfrenzystore.com.au u select product and enter coupon

        • +2

They text you a link to a Click Frenzy Store with all the prizes. Then you choose your one, put in your voucher number and that's it! Free shipping, too.

  • +3

Whats sad is I've just checked my OzBargain's competition page; ive entered over 278 competitions from 2017 and haven't won one…. i don't think my luck is going to change tonight somehow.

How many 'Frenzy Bucks' dollars were up for grabs across our 2019 events?

  • -1

How many 'Frenzy Bucks' dollars were up for grabs across our 2019 events?

  • -1

Q: How many ‘Frenzy Bucks’ dollars were up for grabs across our 2019 events?

  • -1

Was 50 @ first 500. Answered this one pretty quick ay. ONly thing is i missed out the dollar sign.

    • Guess im way off hehe

    • Never mind :p

      • Banner says 500.

        • Thats what I get for copying someone.

  • iPhone Q: How many 'Frenzy Bucks' dollars were up for grabs across our 2019 events?

  • -1

Q: How many 'Frenzy Bucks' dollars were up for grabs across our 2019 events?

  • +4

20,000 in total to be claimed from the 2019

    • Across the 2019 events ;)

      • F!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all the events!

      • ffffff

    • Yeah i had the same answer it was 400 x 50

  • -1

How many 'Frenzy Bucks' dollars were up for grabs across our 2019 events?

  • I did 30,000.

    Missed Travel. Probably 40,000.

  • $20000

  • Willing to bet there was more than the November frenzy that we all thought was accurate.

  • I said 40000

    • Also guessed 40k

  • +1

I put $40000 for the question, $20000 from Click Frenzy Go Wild 2019, $10000 from Click Frenzy Mayhem and $10000 from Click Frenzy Travel, hoping its right

    • Missed a 10er I think.
      Might be 50k

      • Where does extra 10k come from? I know they do extra competitions like tag friends for $100 but they aren't Bucks. Well at least I didn't think so

  • +4

    $20,000 (400 x $50)
    $10,000 (100 x $100)
    $10,000 (100 x $100)

    $40,000 I think?

    • Also guessed 40k but one of them is 'Travel Money Oz Currency' which I'm not sure if that counts? - so had my spouse do 30k

Also hope they didn't need us to put in the dollar sign and comma, there was no specification

    • irritatingly, 2x of those say "and you could score yourself"

    • They also do small FB comps … "describe this in 5 words and win $200 frenzy bucks" etc. Not sure if those count.

  • 400x50 + 100x100 + 100x100 = $400,00 I missed the travel one so got it wrong :(

  • What happens if you don’t receive any rejection emails?

    • +3

Assume you didn't win, it wouldn't be Click Frenzy without a large amount of people not receiving particular emails.

  • I accidentally put 2000 instead of 20000. I'm glad to see that I only counted one event and was wrong regardless, phew!

Edit: judging by comments in this thread, I also got the popup 5 min after everyone else. Bleh.

  • +1

    first guess was 20K
If you are one of the first 400 Click Frenzy members to spend $200 or more on any combination of the Click Frenzy deals on offer we'll reward you with a $50 Click Frenzy Visa Card.
Didnt realise they had other offers too

  • I went with 40K. Referenced the old ozbargain forum posts

    Click Frenzy Go wild 2019
    Click Frenzy Mayhem 2019
    Click Frenzy Travel 2019

    • Looks like I may have missed 1 travel frenzy in 2019

    • I just did that. After I answered. Panicked and put in the first number I saw here. Came up with 30,000 without the travel.

  • 50k

as i did a search on the forum lol

    • same i did 50

  • I had $50,000
    Travel frenzy Feb 100 * 100 = 10,000
    Mayhem 100 * 100 = 10,000
    Travel frenzy Aug 100 * 100 = 10,000
    Go Wild 400 * 50 = 20,000
    Total 50,000

    • Damn it, did they have 2 travel frenzys?! BAH!

      • Travel Frenzy Feb. I couldn't find any reference of Frenzy Bucks for that event though, google search, went through old articles, twitter posts etc.

        • +1

It was in their travel frenzy Feb email from last year.

          • @Member: Ah right, nicely done.

            • +3

@hamza23: here's an image link. t&c's button is dead now

edit: ctrlv has gone dodgy now. fixed the image link.

          • @Member: man, i didn't even think to search my emails for their blasts. thanks mate

    • +1

      GL

  • Dont know if anyone noticed this but the banner t's and c's says first 500, not 400 like on the ozbargain page.

  • Anyone win the phone?

  • The MacBook and AirPods are tomorrow I guess?

  • +2

Soda stream is now looking good.

  • It's a bit hard once again to guess this because they call "Frenzy Bucks" also "Frenzy Visa Cards" in some parts, and they were also giving them away throughout the year at random aswell (such as viewing ironshopper hauls etc)

  • +3

i did 50 pray for me

  • HOW IT WORKS

If you’re one of the first 500 Click Frenzy Members to make purchase/s on Click Frenzy Mayhem totalling over $200, you will be eligible to receive a $50 Click Frenzy VISA card.

For anyone still calculating - do this event as 500x50. Not 400x50 as most have done.

    • How many 'Frenzy Bucks' dollars were up for grabs across our 2019 events?

This 2020 event shouldn't be included.

      • Oh wtf. Time for me to go to bed LOL. Thats embarrassing. Theres been previous events? Rightio good to know.

        • +1

Yeah Click Frenzy has been going since 2012 with multiple events each year.

      • where do you even find that info out of curiosity ?

        • I scrolled through their facebook posts for 2019 and did the math, there's multiple methods of doing though probably

  • There were also Facebook ($5k) and Instagram ($10k) Comps last November which I think also came under frenzy bucks

  • +1

I wonder what else will be on today - I recall reading a switch light and the macbook.

    • New email out.

  • Just a heads up:

The limit of purchases for the entire duration of the Click Frenzy Go Nuts sale (between 7pm AEDT May 19, 2020 and 11:59 AEDT May 21, 2020) is one item per user, household and/or IP address. Once a text message has been received with the unique discount code during the 53 hour period, the limit for that user/IP address/household has been reached. Any purchases made in contravention of any such applicable restrictions or conditions may be cancelled by Click Frenzy and any monies refunded.

  • Email says 4 clues. What were they?

    • I think it's more so clues as to when the items go live.

  • Isnt there a Nintendo lite still to go up?

    • +1

I believe so, and a Macbook too.

  • +1

This years was by far the worst. Majority of people unable to get popups despite all permissions saying they can. I've had not one single pop up the whole time. Kept my computer on all day with the page open on my 2nd monitor and nothing. Really big clickfail

    • I haven't had any issues since yesterday around noon. Seems it has been fixed for me.

    • Did you click off your browser though?

    • Don't you have to be actively browsing / refreshing / loading something though ?

      • Nope, you just need to stay on the page (don’t click off the browser window).

        • Do we know if the popups work on a mobile device such as iPhone’s safari?

          • @tadasu: Works on iPad, I tried to use it on my phone and it wouldn’t pop up but downloading chrome seemed to work.

          • @tadasu: Works on chrome on my s8

          • @tadasu: Not sure about iphone but it worked on chrome for my samsung galaxy phone

          • +1

@tadasu: I got the last pop up on my iPhone last night, but not on my Mac (which ironically I won in click frenzy 2018 😂)

          • @tadasu: Ive been only getting the pop ups on my iphone safari everytime, not on my computer. Also it seems to happen every first time i log in not when im constantly staying on the site

  • +2

We're headed to a famous landmark on INSTAGRAM LIVE. What is the name of the landmark?

    • punt road oval?

      • +3

Bit hard when you're from Sydney and have no clue where they are hehe.

    • MCG

    • +1

People guessed MCG as soon as it went live. Figured no point in trying haha. Definitely not a fan of these local insta-lives.

      • Its garbage considering you'd only know that if you were a local and can spot the surroundings.

        • I worked opposite where the video started for 6 years. Unfair advantage…

  • +1

yeah people on insta said MCG

  • +2

did anyone get the pop up?

    • +1

      nope

    • I got the pop up just as the live video was starting

    • yep got one.
but I didnt get Chrome Notification, only pop-up one the web site.

      • pop up on Firefox not on Chrome

  • +1

I think the coronavirus quarantine has really affected the clickfrenzy people….. they are using any excuse to get out of the office

  • Anyone had a pop up yet?

  • If this next question is how many cameras, that is going to be super annoying and open ended. Do we add security cameras? Do we add computers/laptops with cameras? Etc…

    • It will more than likely be like that

      • Hopefully they don't have the same question two click frenzies in a row…

    • do we add security cameras?

  • Anyone had a pop up yet?

  • +3

Q: How many days ago was the start of Click Frenzy's last Mayhem event?

    A: 366 days

Click Frenzy Mayhem 2019 officially begins 7pm (AEDT) Tuesday, May 21 2019

  • Question: How many days ago was the start of Click Frenzy's last Mayhem event?

  • How many days ago was the start of Click Frenzy's last Mayhem event?

  • 191?

    • That's what I answered

      • me too..

      • +1

afaik the November one wasn't a Mayhem (hence May), I believe it started on 21/5/19 but I accidentally put 365 without realising this year was a leap year.

        • +1

oops really need to read the questions properly before panicking and answering lol

    • +1

      Mayhem? Should be 366, right?

      • +3

        Yeah I think so:

Click Frenzy Mayhem 2019 officially begins 7pm (AEDT) Tuesday, May 21 2019. Ref.

The Tuesday Nov 12 2019 Event was 'Go Wild'. Ref.

    • +1

Wasn't the Mayhem event Tuesday May 21 2019 though?

November was Go Wild wasn't it?

      • Thats what I thought and entered 365. Now confused if it should have been 364?

      • +2

I thought Mayhem was for the May event. So answered 366…

        • Do you think it matters if I just said 366 and not 366 days?

          • +1

@knight321: I don't think so, the question was 'how many days ago', so '366' is suffice.

If it stated 'how long ago', then you would need to write days, but not in this case.

    • 369

    • I trusted you bradcpv, you were the chosen one! It was said you would calculate the dates properly not join them!

  • +1

wasnt it 365 since the last mayhem event?

    • +1

Well 365 days ago was May 22 but question asks for the start of which is May 21 (366 days ago). So answer = 366.

      • Since this is a leap year wouldn't it be 367?

        • 366 including the leap day :D

  • This is from Google,

It is known as 'Click Frenzy Mayhem', and is billed as “Australia's iconic online shopping event”. It all begins at 7PM (AEST) Tuesday, May 21, 2019, and finishes 29 hours later at midnight (AEST) Wednesday, May 22, 2019.May 20, 2019

  • +1

Finally got a pop up on my Iphone using safari.

  • Did anyone win anything so far ?

    • +1

I scored the TV myself, took around 20 hours after the question to get my sms with the code however.

      • I did get an email but I didn't succeed.

      • how fast did you have to reply?

        • To the question? They give you the 30 minutes but I believe I had answered it within 2. You must place your order for the 'prize' by midnight tonight.

          • @Verified: yeah - did you figure it out yourself or use ozbargain? Just wondering if its worth answering if someone else had already answered

            • @raquethead111: Figured it out myself. I knew mydeals had the most deals already from prior browsing of the clickfrenzy website so it was just a matter of quickly checking the number of deals posted.

  • Dang - I thought it was the November one…

  • God damn leap year.

  • MacBook must be at 11pm?

    • +3

Most likely all $1000+ items been 10-11

  • +1

what was everyones answer for the Camera question for today?

  • +1

Did anyone get confirmation that they won the electric scooter yet? I'm curious what the answer was.

    • Nothing yet. I have only received one rejection email so far and that was for the Surface Pro.

    • +1

Nada on the scooter yet, but I have rejections for:
      - Surface Go
      - Lego Roller Coaster Set

      • I still haven't heard anything about that roller coaster set yet

  • anyone get a popup yet?

  • -2

anyone got a pop up yet?

  • Popup anyone? Nothing here

    • Nope

  • -2

am I the only person who hasn't got any emails yet?

    • I haven’t either.

      • Me either :(

      • Emails?

        • I've received nothing, not even promo emails

          • @jklm: Same but I wasn't expecting any either… seems people are expecting emails

    • havent either

  • +5

Sick of them leaving the pop up to the last 15 mins of the hour…

    • Lol they love doing that with the good prizes

    • +1

I wonder if it boosts their active stats on their website? Whether that helps them. IE. if the sale was in the first 10 minutes, then most people would only be on the site for 10 minutes, compared to last 10 minutes.

  • When people get the popup they will post. They usually wait until the last 15-10 to put them up on popular items.

When you know, you know. Ya know?

  • I refreshed and now the webpage doesn't even show anything

    Edit: working again

  • Does anyone know when the MacBook and Nintendo will go up?

    • TBA, likely for both to be sometime between 8pm-11pm

  • 5 more minutes still nothing?

  • Fingers at the ready …

  • everyone out here wait and 4 mins is left but nothing if it pops up post answers hahah

  • +1

What is the original price of an item that you can save $975 on?

    • $984.84 = ($975*(100/99))

      • +1

Oh wait it rounds to $984.85! oops

    • $976

      • I guess you are joking, but I also assume they are referring to one of the go nuts deals.. so I used your answer since I had nothing else :)

  • Every posts answers?

  • Ummm nothing at all?

  • I lost popup clicking on this page LMAO.. Any way to get it back?

    • same just happened to me haha saw it for a second

      • +1

Serves me right trying to help u buggers out lol

    • how did you find the item?

      • +2
        1. Use ClickFrenzy search for "$975"
        2. Search page for $975 (using the browser search, not manually)
        3. See item and it had the RRP there

I have the search functionality and brand page open in tabs ready to go. I also have Google in another tab.

  • edit: my math sucks

    • Save 975, not pay 975 after discount

      • Yep my math sucks!

  • $1199.99
Just had to search $975 on the click website then wallah…

  • im stuck idk anyone got answers aspa

  • 10 piece Japanese steel knife block rrp: $1199.99

    • +1

Did we need the $ sign?

    • +3

      this only saving $900?

      • +1

You get an 25% off with code FRENZY therefore total savings = $975.

    • how did u find that? it says its only 299 off which makes it 900 not 975

      • Extra 25% off the 299

      • +3

Search $975, scroll down and you’ll see a knife set that saves $975

  • +1

    ^^ $1199.99

  • Lol you're all discussing the answer, I don't even have the pop up yet

    • Pop up arrived after I refreshed the page with 5 minutes elapsed :-( Now I have to click repeatedly

  • +6

The knife set says save 900. Not 975.

    • +1

"WITH CHOPPING BOARD! RRP $1199.99 | SAVE $975"

      • Yeah mine says a different price - 299.99 save 900. Thanks though :) I put this answer.

        • That's pretty crap :(

    • +1

It goes to $975 if you add the FRENZY code to it

  • click frenzy fail make the price not even match up with what they mentioned

  • theres a 25 extra percent with the code FRENZY at checkout which saves you an extra $75

  • +1

    I think its 984.75 considering 99% Off

    • I think so too, but already answered. Except it's rounded, so 984 or 985.

  • +1

what did people have for the price I said 985 cause most deals discounted that much you pay 1% of

  • that's next level lol, good job!

  • Help……what does this mean?

QUESTION: What is the original price of an item that you can save $975 on?

    • +1

      Just write $1199.99 as answer

    • +2

What was the original price if you saved that much: Answer is the Japanese Steel Knife Block which was for sale at $1199.99. You save $975 as its for sale at $224.99

      • Thanks Ehty & Louisaiishere :)

  • Do we need to put the $ sign or just the number?

    • I only put the numbers… lets see what happens lol

    • Want to know as well. I answered really quick but left out the $

  • +2

How did somebody find the answer so quick? lol there's too many items to look through…

    • Just searched $975 on the Click website then went through the items until i found the $975 savings item.

      • Yeah, I just realised after I saw a search comment below

      • I tried this, got no search result

    • +1

Open each category individually by all deals, open and show all deals, ctrl+f 975

      • Got it! Will take note of this for future reference ;)

  • -2

Has anyone won an item and then not got the pop ups anymore for all the items after?

    • I won the UE Boom and still got popups.

  • None of the link posted here says SAVE $975 on the website anywhere. Someone post the actual link to the item page that says that

    • It's after you put coupon code frenzy in on the link everyone's been posting

      • yea found it through search the actual website includes GST thats why it wasn't showing $975

  • Here's hoping they had a bunch of airpods to give out! Seems like a heap of us on here got it.

    • how many are there usually per item

      • Ye does anyone know?

  • Welp, there goes my time.

  • that was one of the easiest one all you had to do was enter the price in the search bar smh

  • Wish I had got the pop up I stopped getting them after the Electric Scooter from last night and I'm using the same browser (chrome) with same settings.

  • If you’re successful does anyone know how long it takes for them to contact you?

    • I saw someone say they got the message the next day around 20 to 21 hours later.

  • +6

    https://imgur.com/a/WA70DEP

Check the image for the SAVE $975.

Alot of non believers on this forum. lol

  • Even if you won something today, how are you supposed to successfully claim it before the end of the day if it takes them a day to contact you??

    • I'm sure they've thought about that.

    • In the FAQ it says:
      * For deals that are made live on Thursday the 21st of May you will have until 11.59pm Friday 22 May to complete your purchase.

      • On that basis I assume the scooter winners would have been texted by now.

        • Yesterday someone said they got a text at around 4:45 so could be happening now.

  • Someone yesterday got a text after 2 and half hours of winning the speaker so seems to vary a lot. The one that took 20 to 21 hours was someone that won the TV.

  • Still haven’t gotten an email or text form anything yet anyone in the same boat?

  • +4

Are you guys super excited for the Drunk Elephant Midi Committee Kit?!! Can't wait!!

    not

    • +1

I thought it was some music gear, so yeah. Then I looked it up…

  • +1

Wonder how many people are going to win the soda stream because that one was the easiest lolol

    • Didn’t enter it

    • +1

      a win is a win

    • also a cheap item

  • +1

So what’s the timeline is like for the upcoming deals this evening? Haven’t got an email about that yet. I only know it’s going to be MacBook and Nintendo switch at some stage.

  • +1

New Instagram story clue. Any ideas?

  • +2
  • +3

    There are 7 Swisse Deals
There are 16 products in the photos of the deals.
    All are 60 percent off

    • +1

      founded in 1960s
      over 150 premium products

  • +1

Swisse Ambassadors there are 7 https://swisse.com.au/ambassadors
    Swisse History https://swisse.com.au/our-history

  • +1

Travellers Home has Swiss waterproof bags and suitcases
    Chris Hemsworth is Swisse Ambassador
Brilliant Co and The Watch Factory have swiss watches

  • Question on the household limit: as unlikely as it is, if you win in two questions, do they send you two SMS' with 2 unique codes and you can choose which one to claim?

    • +1

Don't be silly, you just get the sms for the shitty product you applied for first!

  • Swiss is a type of cheese.

  • +1

    Drunk Elephant Midi Committee Kit
    $1
    [RRP: $73]

    QUESTION:
What discount is Swisse offering on their skincare product range?

    ANSWER: 60% off RRP

    • So the Instagram clue was for that one. The only other clue I've seen on there was CF joined IG in 2016

  • +2

    60% off… That was easy

  • +1

Answered this one quickly then realised what the prize is. FML.

    • +1

A win is better than no win 🤷‍♀️

      • Thats why you answer on a throw away phone with a different ip.

        • with a different account, different mobile number and a different shipping address, yes

  • +2

I couldn't bring myself to answer it lol I don't want to miss out on the chance of the better prizes. At least popups are working for me again. I think you have to be on the page from the beginning of the full hour for each product so say if you go to page at 6.05pm you won't get a pop up for that hour even if it pops up at a time after that?

  • I was really hoping it would ask what Chris Hemsworth's first born child's name is

  • +8

    KitchenAid Stand Mixer ($629) $6. 8-9pm
    Amazon Kindle eReader ($199) $2 9-10pm
    Apple MacBook Air 13" Laptop ($1,699) $17 10-11pm
    Nintendo Switch Lite ($329)$3. 11-12

    • sounds like comeback at 10pm..

  • I'm not getting any e-mails or messages. What does that mean?

    • Same

    • For email maybe check the click frenzy website, on the top right hand side there's a purple icon of a person which leads to ur profile. Check to see is Email Opt-In is on "Yes".
Or check spam haha otherwise idk

      • Yeah, I turned that on yesterday and I'm still getting noting. :/ oof

  • Does anyone know if ClickFrenzy has been putting out clues on Instagram for every item? I know there was a clue for the last item someone posted. Just wondering if I should bother signing up.

    • +1

Nah. There seems to be only clues for the dud products hehe.

  • +16

I've discovered a way to find when popup's are going live…

    Next popups are as follows:
    6:42:00 PM
    8:33:00 PM
    9:09:00 PM
    10:52:00 PM
    11:17:00 PM

Judging by the times given it looks correct?

    • How did you find out this info?

    • +4

sshh they might change if they see it here

    • +2

I would love to believe you, but I have too much fun sitting here fully tensed for 60 minutes.

    • At least one of them looks wrong.

    • You the real MVP 👏👏

  • +1

Yep…. looks like I can get every question
    Proof: (But no questions..) https://i.imgur.com/ZK9ACw4.png

    • +4

Wow well done. Can you report back to us tomorrow when you claim the Macbook?

      • Honestly, even knowing the questions and having hours to study I'd still not win it. It's so obscure unless I worked for Click frenzy I wouldnt know.

        • -1

          Are they that bad :O

        • +3

Any chance u can post hints to some on here?

    • +2

How did you do it? i've always had a passion in software developing and i saw bits and pieces of the code, really interesting

    • Is there any point actually tuning in if the questions are so hard :\?

  • +2

How many other people have found out and done this for the last few years and have been winning all the good prizes I wonder?

    • Well last year was a survey monkey so I think this is the first year with their own API.

      • You can win one. So share other questions i want kindle 😂

        • +2

Look, even knowing the questions. Only 1 question is actually like definite.

          • @oscinator1988: Could you give a hint for the MacBook ;)

          • +1

@oscinator1988: I am surprised why i haven't thought this. I am web developer BTW. But I don't know react.js lets see i keep eye on network if i find something. But i don't know how to post in react to get results.

            • +3

@bhaumik: All I did was set a breakpoint where it loaded the popups as timers and activated all the timers at once. Seems like a very poorly thought out application, as it knows what time the deals are going live so shouldn't send back the popup Questions till the deals started.

              • @oscinator1988: Even with the questions now posted, I'm still reading your comments over and over. I've added breakpoints to Popup.tsx. But they won't seem to be of any use. Can you please give me another clue. I might not be able to sleep thinking about this.

            • -2

@bhaumik: can we get a guide on how to do this?

          • +1

@oscinator1988: Could you give us a hint for the Nintendo Switch?

      • It was easier last year when the packaged all the popups in a static json as part of their react code, including the surveymonkey URLs.

That being said, their implementation this year looks worse than all their previous years combined if they're using the user provided answer time instead of the system submission time.

One of their first attemps using google ads to push the promo code to put in shopify was arguably the most fair, you weren't able to cheat on that

  • Wondering - has anyone won any 'Mayhem' deal this Click Frenzy?

    • I've seen a few comments here that say yes

  • +5

Can someone pretty please share the questions 🤞🤞

    • Didn't you win a heaps expensive one last year? Leave some prizes for us!

  • +3

now all the web developers get to win lol

    • +1

Tough competition between Web Developers & ClickFrenzy Family and Friends inner circle

    • How come?

  • +2

Awesome just like last year, and the year before that and that and that yawns will avoid. As the worse frenzy ever.

Please disagree I love that 😍

  • +7

So no one is gonna give a single hint? Not even one? Keep your MacBook I just want a kitchen aid 😭

    • +4

      I gave a hint already!

      • +1

help us poor buggers who are slow of wit

      • Thx

      • -1

just need on hint how do you trick the website into thinking its different time

      • Praise the lords thanks for the tip. Was this the 'definite' one and the others are all obscure?

      • I would also appreciate a kindle you know, so I don't mind another hint teehe

  • Any hints for the switch?

  • +1

Any clues for the kitchen aid or Nintendo switch? I would love to win one of those

  • +1

Please give a hint for the kitchenaid! If I win I will bake you some cookies.

  • +7

holy (profanity) the dude above was right with the times. just got the kitchenaid popup at :33 on the dot

  • -1

Any hints on the release times? xD

  • Q: What was the most popular sub-category in the 2019 Click Frenzy event?

  • What was the most popular sub-category in the 2019 Click Frenzy event?

  • What was the most popular sub-category in the 2019 Click Frenzy event?

  • audio-tv-home-theatre?

  • It's either Women's Fashion or Women's Everyday Apparel based off the response from prior years

  • +2
    • Was that a sub-category though?

    • That was for "Singles' Day" sale. If we're going by that website, I think it was "Computers and Laptops" for Click Frenzy

  • You're a legend oscinator

  • +1

I did women's fashion.. jeez I hope they accept that this year

  • +2

Holy Shit, osciantor wasnt lying. 8:35 and question was right wtf

    • +2

My mans bout to score a MacBook! ;)

      • +2

If he wins it he definitely deserves it as he's helped us OzBargainers with the Kitchen Aid already - I'm sure someone from OzB will report they've won tomorrow

        • +1

I said Women's Fashion and Women's Everyday Apparel. Let's hope one makes it!

  • +1

    Women's Everyday Apparel?… maybe

  • +1

Well? I saw various answers in last year's forum. What's the consensus this year?

  • +23

BTW, i'm not giving out questions to anyone over DM's stop trying!
    https://i.imgur.com/RIJ4wYT.png

    • +3

Thanks for the times of pop ups, I can relax around those now you saint xo

    • +1

You'll probably get one from Click Frenzy soon also ;)

    • 🤭

  • It took me about 5 mins to answer for the Kitchenaid and it's probably wrong. Still haven't gotten a text or email about trying for the Sodastream, and this was the only other thing I wanted (I slept through the TV offer… what an idiot).

  • Thanks for the tip oscinator
personally if I were you I would be smart about how quick you answer a question you already know the answer to, if you do it the second it pops up knowing click frenzy they are just as likely to ignore your answer assuming you had prior knowledge, just my 2c

  • +4

Do you have another hint oscinator1988?

  • 3.4. You must use this Site for lawful purposes only. You must not:
    (d) use any software, routines or code (for example, bots or scraper tools) or other automatic devices to systematically access, monitor, copy, extract or use any functionality of the Site or any of the information, text, materials, graphics, logos, icons, images, video and audio clips, trade marks (whether registered or not), advertisements, layout, arrangement, graphical user interface, look and feel, and control features of the Site (together, the Content);

I guess manually getting in is fine?

  • -3

What was the most popular sub-category in the 2019 Click Frenzy event?

  • +4

i think click frenzy would be cool with this. the questions are so vague they hardly matter. the answers are at their discretion anyway. there is no way to ever know which the most popular category was. only they have the stats.

  • -2

Any deal on Xbox one controllers?

  • Omg can you please give a hint for the MacBook before it goes live? Would be so good to get one for uni!

  • Almost time for the kindle question. It looks like it starts with Ho… What do you guys reckon it could be? How much of soemthing?

    • +15

How many Click Frenzy Mayhem events have been run prior to 2020?

      • Didn't they start in 2012?

        • Okay now can you help me guess the rest of the questions hhaha

      • EDITED nevermind im not sure dont want to give info not sure of

        • and they happen what…once a year?

      • +1

        actually wtf

      • I guessed 6 I hope i'm right

      • you mad man

      • thank you you amazing human

      • Legend

    • +1

      I put 5 2015,2016,2017,2018,2019

  • Tip for anyone planning to do future click frenzies, make sure you copy the question and the answer you gave (or the correct answer). They'll probably recycle the questions again just like how some of the questions this time are the same as nov 2019.

  • +1

Has anyone gotten an sms for the sodastream? Not the best prize but at this point, a win is still a win. It was the only one with a straight forward answer!

    • waiting for it too, hopefully comes through by midnight or we can't even use the code…

  • How many Click Frenzy Mayhem events have been run prior to 2020?

  • Q: How many Click Frenzy Mayhem events have been run prior to 2020?

  • +1

Someone please be kind and post the next question too pleeeeeease

  • Is it 3? 3 events that ran in May 2017-2019

  • When did they start calling it Mayhem though?

    Ok answered above already lol

  • +14

*How many Click Frenzy Mayhem events have been run prior to 2020?

*How many barbecues and grills are shown in the 'BBQ, Outdoor & Camping

    • Any hint for the switch?

    • what product os the bbq question for?

      • It's the switch

        • +1

          and the one before that?

    • +7

Well so much for not telling people lol. I guessed this after oscinators post, essentially for the non-smart web developers out there you can just change the local timezone on your computer and the next question shows up (ie I made it 09:08:30 and waited 30 seconds for the question to pop up. I think you can only do one in advance though

      • -1

should u refresh your page after you change the time?

      • +2

i thought to myself "surely they're not that stupid", but yet, i now know the macbook question. christ.

      • Got this to work for kindle too (9:09pm) but cant get anything else :(

      • +1

        it didn't work

      • I know this is a stupid question, but my mind is blank from staring at a screen pointlessly for these stupid deals… but do i want to change my clock forward or back?

    • +20

      Update that

      Switch

          • +2

@Mike2k19: ….. slightly embarrassed to admit it, but changed my computer time and kept an eye on the network requests in dev tools.

            • @jupy: hahaa nicee

            • @jupy: anyone know what the answer is?

irrelevant but underneath the camera it says "I am Sorry!!!!!" LOL

  • +17

here's a DEAL, give MY comment an upvote and I'll help you with homework…

okay just kidding but this website will be extremely useful

    good luck

    • -1

Im so confused by the charts! Help please!!

      • +1

head to "Downstream Sites From Click Frenzy" - it shows the most clicked retailers and brands

the brand is what you are looking for and voila, BOSE !!!

        • Thank you!! I couldnt understand the charts haha i was thinking it was big w 😂😂

  • are they just giving away one MBP?

  • wow i got the popup but refreshed by accident :((

  • The Pandora's box is open :D

  • -1

ok so we know what the questions are but know what are the answers?

  • +3

    These are my guesses.

    Q) The deal with the most clicks from the 2019 Click Frenzy event belonged to which brand?:
    A) Bose

    Q) How many barbecues and grills are shown in the 'BBQ, Outdoor & Camping' category.
    A) 12 (14 if including the banner).

    • So u reckon they aren't counting MyDeal as a brand?

      • +2

        Bose or Bose Australia?

      • +1

nah, I looked too quickly and hinted the wrong ans

if you check the website i posted here,
My Deal is the top retailer
Bose Australia/Bose is the top brand

though it could be My Deal.. who knows what Click Frenzy will choose..

      • My bad. The hitwise statistics are very confusing.
        It's most likely MyDeal then.

        • I think the question for the TV asked about brands and I am pretty sure the right answer was mydeal

      • The question is which brand from the most clicked deal.

Google search shows the most clicked deal might be Bose Headphones - so the brand would be Bose

    • Hate questions like the bbq one. It should be 14 but who knows

      • hmmm i counted 13 with the banner
edit: sorry im idiot, 14 including banner

  • +3

watch them pull the prizes for the Macbook and Switch now because everyone here will immediately submit the same answers.

  • Someone just posted on Twitter that you guys found out about this and tagged click Frenzy https://twitter.com/kingjigsaw/status/1263425312349499392?s=…
Everyone report it so it gets taken down!!!

    • +9

It never was a "fair game" to begin with - location specific questions, arbitrary question etc..

      • The google ads / actual notification bell ones where you were racing to enter the passwords were arguably a bit more "fair" than what they're doing now which is relying on using the system time to determine when to call the endpoints to get and display the popup data.

    • -1

You shouldn't be abusing the Twitter reporting system…

      • +1

twitter shouldnt allow russian spies to meddle with elections lol

      • +9

You also shouldn't abuse and snitch out the Ozbargain Community ;)

      • +1

because Twitter's reporting system should be held in such high regard

    • oh what! what a douchebag

    • he has no follower. and this OzBargain not allowing me to comment more than 5 times in this situation.

    • Even though you're only the messenger who alerted us to this foul act, I have an intense urge to downvote you because I need an outlet to show my rage against this King Jigsaw douchebag! Lol! XP

  • +3

Is anyone able to DM me how to decryption works. I tried doing it myself but Idk what to do after finding the key. I'm just curious about APIs

    • +1

I had no idea either, just setup a breakpoint where the decryption is called and watched it run to understand.

      • I know this is a stupid question, but my mind is blank from staring at a screen pointlessly for these stupid deals… but do i want to change my clock forward or back?

      • ohh in the Popup.tsx? does that cause the json to change? in the for each popup?

        • Yep. So you can see where it's calling the openPopup() you can then use that to have the application run the decryption process itself provided you have the correct id

  • dams nows the secrets are out and everyone is gonna be ready for the next frenzy knowing on what and how to do it lol

    • +2

Every year they have changed the method of delivery

    • well there's no clear cut answers though

  • Is the Macbook the next deal or did i miss out?

    • +38

both. it's the next deal and you will miss out.

      • You sir deserve an up vote :)

    • +2

      you missed it already

      • I guess we all missed it … because of the rat

  • +2

Pretty sure clickfrenzy employees monitor this page for the hacks . They will change last minute

    • or Grant Arnott's motitoring it now himself

  • -3

The deal with the most clicks from the 2019 Click Frenzy event belonged to which brand?

    • Bose

    • my deal

      • which one?

        • With so much time , there still seems to be no certainty on the answer ! Bose , MyDeal or something else ?

          • @Unique1234: If more ppl answer bose, mydeal will be the answer they go for and vice versa. you just cant win

            • @toogoodtobetrue: btw that hitwise page seems to show the Nov 2019 Click Frenzy event, not the May one. Does it matter?

            • @toogoodtobetrue: I am using two different devices with two different accounts so I can guess both. Hopefully I am quick enough with the correct answer

              • @dylatronn: will that work? i thouhgt one win per ip address

                • @t0087669: idk I'm using mobile data and internet

                • @t0087669: Plus there is only one correct answer, so I will only get one win if that does happen

  • +1

No luck at all so far in any deals past couple of years. Does anyone know what number of items per deal are given? If its in single digit, I wont even bother to sit in front of my laptop.

    • They don't ever announce the exact number. Probably so more people will attempt it.

  • What exact time is the apple mac deal?

  • +5

Anyone able to double check if they changed the popup time or question yet ?

    • +9

      still :52. same question

  • +12

Okay, guys good night to all. It was good 3 days chatting with strangers. It was fun overall. Good Luck to all and congratulations to winners. Cheers 🥂🥂

  • So with the BBQ and Grill Question. Does anyone think it will be a curve ball; and you also need to include the amount of 'barbecue' and 'grill' words also appear?

    • I was thinking the curve ball would be including the Grills in the Weber Logo

  • Sorry a few questions ( if its still on). For those who win, don't they have to complete the purchase before CF ends which is tonight? If that's right, the outcome of next 2 questions will be known tonight? Do they send text message or email?

    • +1

'Go Nuts' deals that went live today will have until tomorrow 11:59pm to redeem their coupon code.

  • +1

10000 ppl online on ozb.. gonna be "click" frenzy literally!

    • How many usually?

      • pretty much similar i suppose.. only today for click fr maybe

    • Must be more due to the tweet!

  • +3

Clickfrenzy might just "exclude" those with ridiculously fast reply lol

    • +2

      It’s a trap

    • Click frenzy might just not send out any codes to "winners" and we wouldn't know ¯_(ツ)_/¯

      • +1

        here you lost this \

        • how do I get his arm back : (

  • -3

    Upvote for bose

  • +2

To be honest; the dude who got the questions originally can just force a packet to be sent to the server and fake the timestamp? so he's probably already won, he had the knowledge to get the questions, so im going to assume he's smart enough to respond too …. and here was me trying to research and take notes from two nights ago :P

    • +1

it would definitely make more sense for CF to record their logs with their own server's timestamp rather than use the time injected by the user

      • Logic follows they would also do this with regards to when the questions get released. However, turns out you can quite literally just change the time on your computer forward to see the question.

        • It seems that the system was designed to have the time the questions go live leaked easily. But the actual questions not leakable, hence the need to have an encrypted server side data of the question, with a decryption process client side to run when the time starts.

      • You would think that, but in the CF DB it has a column called answeredAt which as you guessed it is injected by the user…….
        answeredAt: moment()

    • They’d probably be able to filter that out

    • If only. I've not submitted any responses after I discovered this as I would be breaking Click Frenzy's TOS and I didn't want to get into legal trouble with them. I was just amazed that no one else had thought to find out how the popups were being delivered.

      • I aint gonna lie; I did try it; and got to the point of having the network page up 2 nights ago and waited for the time, but I dont have the knowledge to understand code… I usually do this when I just want an image or a sound file off a website :P and crawl through till I find the one I want. I did suggest a scraper a few nights back…

        • Yeah, you were the one who gave me the idea to understand it. In the end it was a lot simpler than I'd have thought.

          • +1

@oscinator1988: Dont blame me for all that spam now; I hope you saw my hours of attempted research for the iPhone a few comments down…. spent an hour counting phones and plans LOL

          • +1

@oscinator1988: But; credit to you, With that sort of knowledge, you must be on the big bucks :P who needs a $6 thermomix when you can earn it. Naaa im just being rude… :P

But on a serious note; good job ;)

      • Every web developer on this site knows how to decrypt the questions, they had all the questions and times from the start. They’re just not dumb enough to gloat.

  • +2

    Just got logged out…Hmmm…

    • Back in :)

  • 7 mins left and i got logged out and can't sign back in :(

  • -1

    same

  • has anyone else not received an email yet?

    • +1

I have not received 1 single email to let me know if I'm unsuccessful for the deal.

  • -2

Done - Submitted. Best of luck gents.

    • how did you get yours early

  • Done GL all

  • +2

Popup never came to me had to refresh. Well that sucks.

    • Same so that counts me out too :P

The previous times I've never had to refresh

  • +1

    I just answered Bose

    Good luck to everyone

  • +1

RIght on time and right question too

  • I did it at 50 secs on the timer fml; I win ill swap it for a switch code :P

  • Click and paste…fingers crossed

  • Done! Pop up showed at the exact time, now just gotta wait to see if it works, or else go for the nintendo switch!

  • Yep. My wife (on 4G) and I (wifi) just got the question posed by the leaks earlier. Bose and my mobile, done!

    • You mean mydeal?

    • my mobile?????

  • What time is the next one?

    • bigw is not a brand

      • In that respect my deal wasn't a brand either.

    • That's the November Click Frenzy and the question asked for the most popular DEAL not the most popular site overall.

      • Bugger even with the questions I still can't get the right answer FML

  • The deal with the most clicks from the 2019 Click Frenzy event belonged to which brand?

    • +2

      Someone wanna tell them?

    • +1

lol… should've read the earlier chats

  • +2

Can't believe they didn't change the question. Will be interesting if anyone on ozbargain will win. If not, I suspect they simply pulled the price. Who will know.

  • Done, let's hope I got lucky.

  • +2

They don't care about the prize, all they are interested in are the clicks and publicity. You couldn't buy this much press for the cost of a Macbook Air

    • I mean sometimes I wonder if they can really be this incompetent and mess it up every single time or if they just do it for publicity.

Next step is to blame all the "hackers". Even though you literally just had to change your local time.

  • What in the world the question popped up and the timer said 27:50 left?

    • +1

Yep the popup is extremely glitchy. Some people get it on time others don't. I didn't get it at all until I refreshed the page.

    • finished my answer and submitted with 29:52 on the clock

  • Decided to submit after 3 mins just incase hahaa

  • didnt get the popup immediately, probably a few minutes delay :(

    • I got popup 2 mins early because my inbuilt clock seemed to be quicker than other clocks

      • i hope you waited 2mins so the time stamp matches up!

  • WHAT it logged me out

  • Anyone know what the answer was?

  • How soon should we get the confirmation call/message if we are selected as winners?

    • +5

If history is anything to go by, click frenzy focus on customers and the public and will be contacting the winner as a matter of priority! /s

    • +1

I read somewhere earlier that whoever got the TV didn't find out for quite a number of hours.

  • +2

OK so the big question for the next question —- does the banner ad get included in the count or not? My wife and I are dividing and conquering..

    • +2

My confusion is whether to include the Kettle BBQ shown in Weber logo or not

      • Surely not?… I hate this game.

        • what about every time 'barbecue' or 'grill' is written out? And if we're including the ones in the weber logo, what about the one in the weber barbecue book that you can barely see?

    • Well, the question says SHOWN, and not LISTED, so i count 14 grills spread across multiple pictures

  • +5

Just got rejection email for PS4, which was:

    20/5 7-8pm Playstation 4 (RRP $409) $4 Q

So still a lot of emails/sms's to come.

    • just got my rejection email too BOOOO

    • +1

@hamza23 is it okay for u to put in from description what emails and SMS are out and what are still pending?

      • +1

Sure, I'll put something together, I didn't enter them all but should be able to work it out.

        • Thx :)

        • Anyone got rejections for GHD, Apple Watch, Makeup Kit, UE Boom 3? Time if you got it, but just want to confirm they've gone out. I got the others up to Sodastream which appears most recent.

          • +1

@hamza23: Got the Apple Watch at 21:08 yesterday

          • @hamza23: just got rejection for apple iphone now, ue boom was yesterday at 10:14pm, apple watch for me was 8:15pm yesterday

          • @hamza23: I've not seen any rejection emails at all - Do you get them if you got the answer correct but didn't win? Or if you got the answer wrong and therefore failed their cunning tests your middle mouse button?

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: It appears you should get them in both occasions, see here. I'm also missing some emails though and some other users had reported to have not received any at all. I guess if you don't get the SMS then the email doesn't matter but it would be nice to know.

    • +2

I haven't gotten a single rejection email or sms… and no, it's not in junk folder

      • +1

pretty sure you only get the rejection email if your answer was right but you werent fast enough

        • Not true I'm afraid, I answered very wrongly on the Apple Watch (model question) and still received an email for it.

    • +1

I just got the PS4 and Sodastream rejections.

  • i refresh the page every 10mins
or when im doing something just left the page open and it pops up for me still

  • I got it very quick but wrote Bose australia. Kinda just wish i wrote bose now.

  • Single deal click , could be anything , probably is bigw

  • Didn't get the pop up

  • What Macbook Air model is it. Last years?

    • +8

For $17, it really doesn't matter to me!

    • planning what to get for macbook already? :P

    • Most likely one of the ones on this page.
The images match the Click Frenzy one. Price doesn't match however.

      • Initially I thought it was last years because the RRP didn't match up with this years model. Now I think it's this years model with the i5 quad-core.

  • +1

I have two browsers open next to each other because I had trouble not getting popups earlier today. Safari is half a second faster than Chrome counting down and it's driving me a little bit nuts.

  • Haven't had any SMS so guessing I didn't win anything and the only unsuccessful emails I got were for the tv and hub.

  • Got logged out at 10.50 and can't login back still. Missed it. I wonder if they logged out users deliberately or just technical issue.

    • +1

I erased my browsing history and was able to log back in.

    • Were you on the BBQ page for a LONNNNGGG time ? :P Clear your cache and/or cookies

  • For next 12 or 14?

    • +3

A narrow interpretation of the question (IN the category, as opposed to ON the category page) would be 12. Whether or not Click Frenzy take a narrow view, who knows.

      • Yeah, it also says SHOWN and not LISTED, so not sure, i'm leaning towards 14 at the moment.

  • any winners?

  • What time for the switch?

  • +1

What time is the popup for the switch?

  • +1

Just got rejection email for the Razer scooter

  • +11

Heading into the last one, just want to say it has been another slightly regretful and aggravating experience. All the best to everyone

    • +6

I've had fun. And i feel like we all really bonded :)

      • I learnt a lot about web development, if not winning prizes.

        • +7

I subscribed to all the free Udemy Web development courses. I will Go Wild in Nov 2020

      • +1

It was fun but very annoying

      • +1

its the click frenzy cycle. See you guys next click frenzy

  • Wouldn't want to look like I'm a cheater, so I'll submit a tardy one. GGWP

  • Have they changed the question

    • Nope

  • pretty sure based on personal experiences + replies here this is the least prizes they've given out of any of these click frenzy events

  • where does the pop up go?

  • What’s the number?

  • 14 including banner 12 without banner

  • i wrote 12

  • +4

    Thank god it's over haha

    • Fax. all the best mate

      • Good luck everyone

  • That’s it, good luck to everyone :D

  • Submitted it, now just hoping for the best

  • +1

I wrote 14 because the question said "shown" not listed :( why can't they be more specific!!

  • good luck to everyone :)

  • +2

Very interested in what happens tomorrow. My guess is that no one on ozbargain won any of the last two prizes. But someone else definitely did. According to clickfrenzy :)

  • Did anyone count the BBQ on the Weber logo? I counted 20

    • That's some inception sh*t right there. It's like those puzzles with the triangles within the triangles

    • Same

    • Same…. didn’t know if I was reading into it too much

    • Jesus. We know they read ozbargain from previous years, so what's the bet they change the correct answer to 20. It certainly wasn't the answer they originally had, but would be like them to pretend like they fooled everyone. Good on you if you win.

  • Great, got the question, aswered 14, not time to sleep and leave my phone with maximum ringtone volume for when i get my sms about me winning a macbook pro! Stay positive!

    • I thought it was a MacBook Air?

      • i dont care as long as i get it for $13 hehe

  • Thats it folks, cheers to the winners.

  • +1

Well theres a giant flaw in this whole popup system. I changed my laptop to the seconds to 20 secs early… and on my laptop I got the popup 20 secs early… GG if your time isnt synced, youve got yourself an advantge

    • +2

Unless it is based on server time stamps then you’ve got nothing.

      • pfft please; I waited till till the time ticked over; but it gave me time to type the answer and hover over submit

      • It submits your current (machine) timestamp into their DB…. So looks like its inherntly flawed

        • But if at 10:30 you changed your computer time to 11:17, got the deal and submitted your answer, wouldn't your computer submit its time (e.g. 11:17:05) to Click Frenzy? You gain no advantage from changing your time because everything is local. If things WERE server-sided, you'd be screwed too, because the time has clearly been tampered with.

          • @dogsryummy: That's correct, but the server should not be accepting answers unless it's past the start time.

    • +3

Yeah but if you submitted the answer, your laptop will report its incorrect time to Click Frenzy, which in your case is still some time after 11:17.

      • +1

they check for hacks/fraudulent activity apparently

        • Says all of us on OzBargains

  • Including the banner and the side burner on the big BBQs I went with 18.

  • surely theres more?

  • +3

i went with 12 as they said under the bbq and outdoors category which doesnt include the banner

  • +14

I bet you are all glad that is over. See you in November everyone 👍

  • GGWP all

i went with 12.. was opening the category just in case if they changed the pictures and didn't get the banner this time!

    https://imgur.com/iG1cc0z

    • Oh no 😬.

    • Banner still comes up for me.

    • I guess, it should be taken as "in the category" rather than "in category page"

      but who knows

  • +3

    Unsuccessful for iPhone 11 :(

    • -1

      Same :'(

      • what was your answer

        • -1

          I had $40000

          • @juduckiee: I had $20,000 (rushed and didn't think) and didn't get an email at all.

    • I know that feel :(

    • Answered 40000, got a rejection email. Answer was 50000.

    • I submitted 20,000 and no email yet. Hmmm..

    • Ah well, your new Samsung will have to do then!

  • bittersweet moment because I randomly counted the number of BBQs like 2 days ago…but everyone knew the question already 😅

  • I hope they don't notify us of the outcome of today's deals this late tomorrow, not leaving much time to purchase ><

  • +2

Just got rejection for coffee machine. I knew the place, took me a few seconds and STILL didn't win…

    • Same - I had the wrong answer though

    • Me too, any idea how many they are actually giving out?

      • If I were to guess 15-20 units

  • technically, if they send out sms for yesterday's deals after midnight nobody can even claim it. still waiting on soda stream response

  • +1

Just got my rejection email for the sodastream :(

    • Is a rejection email where you got the correct answer but didn't win the prize? I've not got any email at all from CF so assuming I also got all the questions wrong :-)

      • No idea, they didn't mention whether I was wrong or not, just unsuccessful.

  • Anyone got an SMS for the MacBook OR Switch yet?

  • Was it just one prize they were doing for the pop-up or a few?

  • Did anyone actually get an SMS for anything? If so, how long after?

  • +1

Never got the rejection email for the iPhone. Schrodinger's Winner over here.

  • +6

Seems like a a few Karens has complained on Click Frenzy’s FB of OzBargain

    • +2

Even without these… they never stood a chance anyway. So what’s the point in whinging.

    • +5

Their anger is misdirected. They should be angry with click frenzy for exposing the data like that. I'm sure lots of people realised that you could simply change your local time and the question would pop up (enough that the people on Facebook never stood a chance regardless).

It's not like you have to be a software developer to figure that one out! If anything, people with knowledge wouldn't even consider that they would have messed up that badly.

In the end, ozbargain just evened the playing field a bit and made it a proper click frenzy by widening the number of people that learned the questions in advance.

      • Unlike last year where some guy accessed the site metadata (or whatever it was) and selectively leaked the questions on twitter.

      • Really? Is that how simple it was? Then I'm sure tons of people on OzBargain knew about it but probably said nothing - prior to the post about backend code.

    • They need their Ozbargain license revoked, bet ya they wouldn't complain if they benefited from it

  • +3

Rejection emails for the scooter and coffee machine.

  • +7

TBH those Karen's on facebook are the ones who screenshot the question, upload it to the Facebook post/Insta thread, asking for help with the question. If you don't answer in the first 30 seconds you never stood a chance anyway.

  • +1

Just got the rejection for the iPhone

  • +1

Email just went out saying that by end of today, all of those who have been successful will have received a text message.

  • +1

Any emails for the Nespresso yet?

    • +2

Yeah received a rejection 11.40pm last night. I'm still waiting on some rejections from yesterday though, so it appears the rejection email time frames are completely random. Just wait to see if you get a text message.

      • +1

Yep, just curious what we are up to so far?

      • +1

My rejection came through at 11:33pm…looks like it’s not a consistent time for the same products.

  • +2

I wonder how many items of each Go Nuts deal were available? Were they there just the carrot to hype up the Click Frenzy event for participating stores (got to admit some were good prices but the stores could promote themselves). It feels like one of these promotions at shopping centres where you register your details in a "free" competition to win a prize, dressed up as a ridiculous cheap deal and require participants to waste an entire day anticipating the next pop-up and finding answers.

    • I mean apart from the popups glitching I had a bit of fun during the times I participated so not all a waste :)

      • -1

IMHO this actually breaches consumer law

        https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/advertising-promotions/fal…

        "Bait advertising
Bait advertising takes place when an advertisement promotes certain (usually ‘sale’) prices on products that are not available or available only in very limited quantities. It is not misleading if the business is upfront in a highly visible, clear and specific manner about the particular product ‘on sale’ being in short supply or on sale for a limited time."

        • +1

Agree. Click Frenzy should be transparent about the quantities they have up for grab.

  • Does anyone know what product they are up to with the emails?

  • Has anyone received an SMS for the Macbook yet?

  • Anyone got a SMS for the iPhone?

  • +1

Did anyone got anything at all from these nuts deals??

    • Someone a few pages before won the TV!

  • +2

Something tells me they've decided to 'pull all the deals' given its 5pm which means youve only got 7 hours to potentially check your emails and buy something…. thats a little unfair

  • +1

No emails since tv and hub, no texts. Confirmation one way or the other would be nice but no longer expected seeing as there were so many issues with site crash, missing pop ups/emails.

  • On their Power Retail website they have posted a big pat on the back for themselves. I'm sure they don't care about the screw ups as any publicity is good publicity I suppose and they've got paid already by the companies who participated.

    https://powerretail.com.au/click-frenzy-2/was-this-the-bigge…

    • Yeah I think they companies have to pay before the event.

      • Yep they do. It's advertising space.

  • Does anyone reckon there is any chance that Clickfrenzy will send out any more emails for winners or have they finished going through the winners

  • Ready for the floodgates to open and everything to be sent at once lol.

    • Has any contacted them on fb or insta to check? I didn’t get a reply

      • Yeah click frenzy will never respond. I reckon there is a good chance that there will be no emails for the Macbook and Nintendo switch. I reckon if that if they were being real with the Macbook there would be only one to give away anyway

        • +1

          I just want my kitchenaid

        • I remember an earlier year when they cancelled all prizes for everyone that won more than one prize. That was some time after the prizes had been claimed and paid for, so no chance for anyone else to win them. As far as I know, they never released those unclaimed prizes and just put it on their bottom line. Or gave them to employees, who knows. I think they will do the same this year.

My impression is that they are simply very dodgy. I also tried to contact them several times one year for an issue, but I never managed to get a reply. I don't know anyone that has successfully contacted them.

          • @fruxo: You can leave a comment on the parent company site that I left a link for above. Someone else had.

      • I did too, doubt i'll get a response

  • +1

If you win, do you get an email as well or just an SMS?

    • It seems that winners get SMS only, those unsuccessful get emails only (or nothing at all for those who aren't getting emails).

  • I was so confident I won the airpods :(

  • I believe they will wait as late as possible to send the unsuccessful emails to allow the successful people to claim their prizes through the click frenzy store. Last night a bunch of emails went out at 11pm, so I expect the same tonight.

    • So they've already sent the SMS or are going to send them later tonight?

      • I reckon SMS sent and email will go out later once people have collected their winnings!!

  • Any New SMS out?

  • +5

Why am I not surprised that this giant scam hadn't sent emails out and it's 8pm so you've got 4 hours left

I actually like the thought of twice a year huge sales by brands all at the same time but the way it's managed through these guys is appalling

    • E-mails are irrelevant. You either got a text message with a code for your win or you haven't won anything. Simple as that.

      • +2

Like I respect that; but just doubt theres all those 'discounts' in the first place; legit click bait. bait advertising. I cant see anything on any social media twitter, reddit here about anyone winning at all…. excluding the one guy for the tv.

  • Their Instagram story says “thank you for all of your amazing submissions! we ‘ll be going through everyone’s answers and the winner of the prize bundles will be announced on our social media in the next few days!”

So I guess it may be awhile before winners are announce?

    • +1

I think this is for their social media competition and not the gonuts deals

      • Ahhh I see, my bad

    • +1

Thats for the previous comp that they held on their Instagram page, not for go nuts deals.

  • So is there no chance of an SMS now?

    • +1

Not sure - generally a few of us on here win stuff but only one so far.

      • +3

Surely its too late to get a message now, isn't it?

  • +1

Actually where the F is the switch even on there store?.. two items are missing https://clickfrenzystore.com.au/

    • what the heck

    • Maybe they removed it because they what was being posted on here

      • Why would they just remove the Switch Lite, but not the MacBook?

        • Maybe cos that was extra suspicious for them I don't know. But that probably means no one wins the switch

        • +2

With that line of reasoning, why would they remove those two and not the others from previous days as well? After all, if the exploit existed yesterday, it also existed the other days too. Just because it was not made public does not mean no one made use of it secretly.

          • @Tekon: Cos that leaked information was there for everyone to see for the last 3 or so questions. Some people saw the info before those questions but a lot of people got to see the information for the last few questions

            • +2

@dylatronn: Ah so it's fine if a few select people had access for the other deals but now that many people finally had the same advantage it's a problem.

Stab in the dark but I think ClickFrenzy really doesn't care for fairness.

              • @Tekon: Hundreds of people saw the questions and answers for the last few compared to not so many before that. People only commented about them knowing about the questions in the last few hours.

                • @dylatronn: Yes that is precisely my point. You are suggesting that it is a problem that a lot of people saw the questions with the last few deals and not a problem that only a select few saw the questions for previous deals.

I am suggesting that if ClickFrenzy cares about fairness, all deals would be removed.

                  • @Tekon: It would be too late because people already ordered some of the products. It would be unfair to cancel all the products before and I know ClickFrenzy don't really care but that is too far even for them

                    • @dylatronn: Hah yeah you're probably right. Bit of a shit show really. Allowing people to simply change the time on your computer forward to see the questions is quite an amateur mistake. I'm still wondering why they use client-side time.

                      • @Tekon: Well, now the Nintendo Switch is in the store so thats it for me.

        • May be MacBook’s winner/s has/have been announced..and for switch, it yet to be announced???

          • @Skp27: So the apple watch is missing too. Please explain?

            • @Mintee: May be all claimed..lol

            • @Mintee: Apple watch all claimed

                • @jacobmccc: So that page is as random as their emails. One sold out item. Yeah I'm pretty sure they all are.

                  • @CookieT: One winner on ozbargain (TV) and one on their Facebook page (Apple watch) apart from that haven't heard of any other winners. Generally there's at least 4-5 winners here and FB is full of people saying they won something. Seems odd this year.

                    • @exc3113nce: There were at least 4 TVs won across social media.. I don't know what you guys are talking about. Read earlier ozb pages

                      • @takutox: Fair enough. I've been following this closely must have missed the other winners. Not seeing it's dodgy just that it's different. Maybe we're getting too shy to post winnings haha

                    • @exc3113nce: I won the UE Boom…

                • @jacobmccc: Are they giving refurbished Kitchen Aid???

                  • @Skp27: Yeah just saw that lmao. As if this wasn't crap enough

  • +1

Not impressed with their website. Pop ups weren’t handled correctly causing poor UX. Poor website design and little to no outgoing alert service. Feels like something put together from the early 2010s.

I’m not saying this is a scam but the way they’re allocating their resources is abysmal. Two average web devs could put together this website easily and make it look good, feels like they spent literally nothing and kept the rest so they could buy their next boat and a bidet to clean the sh*t out of their mouths.

  • Just read a comment on their FB site where someone said they had contacted them and actually got a reply. Not sure how they messaged them.

  • The switch lite is back on the store

  • Did anyone else notice that the Macbook Air on Click Frenzy's Store is different to the one they were promoting?

    • Probably an old picture?

      • +1

        Yeah, that's probably it.
They've given out Macbooks in the past, so there is a chance that they just relisted it on their site without changing anything.

  • Still nothing coming through - looks like no luck whatsoever.

  • +2

If I win… I won't write about it here until I get prize delivered. I saw comments when CF canceled prize marking it as "fraudulent"

    • Where did you read that? I saw a comment that CF had actually replied to someone about the reason the time taken to send SMS was because they were sorting out scams. Not sure how true that is.

    • +5

Yeah check my comment on page one. I won the apple watch one year and they never sent it. I sent them emails and messages on Facebook asking them when my item was sent and they left me on read on Facebook. I started commenting proof they
Don't send stuff on click frenzy posts and the banned me from the page. I never found out why they didn't deliver as they never responded to my dozen or so emails.

  • +3

Strangely didn't even hear anything about the drunk elephant which I thought would've been pretty unpopular / more accessible to win. Did they just ditch the entire comp in the end ?

  • +4

Shouldn’t there be more items sold out on the click frenzy store if all Sms have been sent out. As doesn’t the codes stop working tonight?

  • +4

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says a price may be misleading when:

    • The "discount" is off a recommended retail price that's never been used.
    • The "before" price wasn't in place for a "reasonable period"
    • A sale or special isn't actually temporary and creates an "unwarranted sense of urgency"
    • Fake wholesale prices make the discount look bigger than it is.
    • The sale price or discount is compared with another region.

Think a Click Frenzy deal is misleading? You can complain to the ACCC.

Choice knew it was a DUD

    • I think they should also add "Questionable quantity".

    • +2

Their 'Go Nuts Sale' (actually what they named it) would violate most of those pricing rules. I am surprised they are getting away with this since 2012..
Their whole promotion is classified as bait advertising.

Bait advertising takes place when an advertisement promotes certain (usually ‘sale’) prices on products that are not available or available only in very limited quantities. It is not misleading if the business is upfront in a highly visible, clear and specific manner about the particular product ‘on sale’ being in short supply or on sale for a limited time.

Had it been a 'Go Nuts Competition', then this might have been a different story..

      • +1

A Competition would have been fairer and more transparent because the organisers would tell you up front like "2 Macbooks to be won" and they would publish the names of the winners.
Here Click Frenzy gets paid by the stores, received loads of free online publicity, and at the end of the day have a massive database of people's names, emails, phones, and even mailing addresses which they can on sell for more profit!!!
All without having to provide proof of what they "sold/giveaway".

  • No comments about emails or SMS on any of their social media channels sounds like they just canned yesterday's prizes.

    • i'm fairly new here in australia. Aren't these types of sales/offers supposed to be backed up by a lawyer or somebody with enough legal authority as to prove that the prices have been properly given to the right people (e.g. not employees or their direct families) and that a legal and proper procedure has been followed based on the terms and conditions?

  • There is only 7 minutes to go…

  • Ugh we not getting anything

  • I didn’t get a thing :(

  • +5

    Not even a rejection email.

  • +12

    http://imgur.com/a/UxLw1Qy

If anyone is interested here is some past experiences people have had with click frenzy.

    • +4

      YIKES.

    • +1

That's absolute gold! $4 VISA payment deemed to be fraudulent by their 'thorough vetting technology'. Hahaha…

      • I mean, the dudes replying on social media are probably told stuff all but they have to make it sound like they know. What's a "fraudulent team" anyway? They have a team that acts fraudulently?

    • They threatened me with legal action a few years ago now referencing some comments I made on OzBargain, so I'd be careful what you post here…

      • LOL what are they going to do?

      • I remember that, unless it happened to several people. How did they know your ozbargain username though?

        • +4

I think I had shared some of the communication from them on OzBargain and they matched it up. Their investigation was quite extensive, naming my workplace (probably through LinkedIn or a Google search) and looking through my previous entries etc. Then threatened to take legal action for defamation and it came from their guy in charge too. Everything I had said was factual, so I wasn't too worried, but shows what sort of operation they run.

          • @oodian: Yeah, they are super dodgy. Still can't believe they went to those lengths.

  • +3

Lol.. I bet they conveniently say winners are fraudulent so they don't have to give out the prize, regardless if it's true or not. Scumbags.

Reminds me of a company who kept $50,000 of vouchers because they said the entries are fraudulent. It wouldn't even surprise me if they designed the website crap on purpose. No redraw required so they can save tens of thousands.

Can't believe the greed on this company

    • Also, there was one winner on here that didn't get sent their MacBook last year.. wtf lol

  • +2

I see the marketing emails are still arriving in the inbox. Just saw one about a Telstra deal.

  • Got a reply on messenger. They're looking into the fraudulent claims.

    • What fraudulent claims?

      • The small number of people that tried to access the deals by use of changing times etc according to the generic response I got.

        • +3

Except that would have happened for all the deals, not just the last ones. It just means that whoever did it earlier had a much bigger advantage as it wasn't shared as widely.

Changing the clock is the oldest trick in the book. Even my computer illiterate wife used to change the clock when playing candy crush back in the day.

It's crazy that they messed up that badly, and they should take some responsibility and do better next year instead of blaming others. Just send out the prizes already and don't make the same mistake next year.

        • they cant even track who did it if the person was using other IP's or things like that.

        • +1

I used to set all my clock 5 min ahead..

    • So they haven't sent out everything yet?

      • Possibly. They could at least admit fault for not sending out emails and no pop ups though. There shouldn't be teething problems after this many events.

    • I wonder if they'll determine fast answers as fraudulent? I mean sure you could guess something instantly but for example if someone had done the "hack" for a more indepth question then that could be questionable.

      • But maybe they just knew the answer already they cant judge.

        • Sorry by fast I mean on the second response, like popup appears -> paste answer and submit.

  • So there is a chance that we might get an SMS or email soon

  • +8

I really wish CF would take responsibility around this and imho that's the biggest issue. They don't own up to there f up and would rather see the wider community punished.

Those winners on here. Im going to check in in about a week. I'd like to know if you actually receive delivery of the TV and the boom box winner.

Either way I think I'm going to submit a ACCC complaint about bait advertising

    • +1

I think you’ll find they normally say allow 3 months for delivery of go nuts deals… I won a MacBook in the Nov 2018 frenzy, received it at the end of the following January.

From memory there were about 3 MacBook winners (Just from ozbargain) for that particular event.

Last November I won a $100 travel online voucher, arrived about 2 weeks later and only had a 2 week expiry :(

Luckily I was able to use it towards a 1 night stay at Crown for a wedding we had coming up… best thing was whoever did the booking made a typo and booked us in for 4 nights instead of one - and we didn’t have to pay any extra! Was a nice 4 night staycation that only cost us $100 :D

      • you mean $1? ;)

        • +1

No the room was $200, so we paid $100 ;)

          • +1

@Cristobel: Sounds like crown made the "mistake" maybe hoping you'd gamble

            • @TEER3X: Maybe! Either way it was a great mistake 👍🏻

  • +8

Someone over on Facebook got a reply from them:

Thanks for your feedback. We are aware of a small number of people who fraudulently tried to access the final 'Go Nuts' deals. Due to this, the process of screening out these people has extended the time it takes to contact those who have been successful. We will endeavour to contact those people on Monday with details to complete their purchase at 99% off.

So I guess there still is a chance for us to get an SMS.

    • +2

Thanks for the update. There is still a small chance for us

  • Any updates from anyone?

    • Nope, they said they would contact people today (Monday) though.

  • +7

Good luck everyone! Hope we have a few winners in here today!

    • Anyone receive any texts yet?

      • Nope :(

      • +3

No emails no SMS. I gave up with this stupid giveaway :(

      • Nothing here either :(

      • Nope, nothing here too

      • someone on their Facebook visitor posts said that they've received an SMS for the camera tonight

  • Just got a rejection for the camera

  • Just received an unsuccessful email for Camera :(

  • Unsuccessful for Airpods :(

    • Same here. Just got the email. That was the one I was most confident in winning too, dang it!

      • Maybe you were so quick they thought you were cheating!

  • +1

Just got 2 rejection emails. Seems like it's going downhill from here.

    • For which products?

  • Rejection email for airpods

  • No dice for the drunk midi thing.

  • Unsuccessful KitchenAid. What bs xDDD :((

    • I feel like with how fast these are coming through, if we haven't had a text by now then we haven't won.

    • Same :( Did you answer with Women's Everyday Apparel?

      • Yes. And my parents entered two other subcategories, none were winning

        • Yikes I wonder what it was then

  • Rejection for the KitchenAid. I didn't enter for the KitchenAid. LOL

    • uh oh. something sketchy going on lol

      • +1

I know for a fact that I didn't enter it because we don't have room for it in our kitchen!

  • +3

The only email I've received from them is the Welcome email when I signed up.

    • Same! I don't understand how everyone is getting rejection emails and I've gotten nothing! I'm thinking my adblocker (uBlock Origin) might (?) have blocked me sending all the answers through?

  • +3

LOL i even got the rejection email for the elephant kit…..which i DID NOT entre at all!!!!!! this is a joke

    • Same what a sham!

  • +1

Seems every 10 mins there’s a new rejection email. Next one @7:33. Wonder if they’ll catch me for “cheating” with that!

    • I think you broke the system haha haven't had any emails since.

Edit: soon as I posted this, got a reject for the kindle.

    • +1

Well there we are. Got all my rejections. What a friggin waste of time

  • +5

How do we bring this company down?

  • Unsuccessful for MacBook:(

EDIT my answer was Bose Australia

    • Mine was Bose and I was unsuccessful too.
I legit knew this answer, I stumbled across it when looking for the iPhone answer.

  • Unsuccessful email for macbook. NOOOOOOOO

  • Rejections for me! Thought I had a chance with the apple airpods. Was super fast doing that one (I even surprised myself) - maybe others had the answer ready to go. Wasn't expecting much of the other ones.

    • Did AirPods. No SMS and No Email some dodgy things going on

  • +2

I won nothing. See y'all in the next event :)

  • +2

I got lucky with the Nintendo Switch Lite and received the SMS just before 6.

    • Nice - 12 or 14 :D

    • Do you remember your answer? And how fast did you answer? It’s stupid how they don’t divulge the correct answer, quantity and how they pick winners. Lol

      • I also put down 12 but got the unsuccessful email. I submitted in a couple of seconds, so perhaps that was suspiciously fast? Or else DataGeek was even faster lol

        • We will never know how winners are picked. But thanks @Datageek for sharing that you won.

          • +1

@MrBurns: Sorry, I have no idea about how fast I answered.

  • Got all the unsuccessful emails for day 2

Didn't get any for coffee machine, PlayStation, surface go, and soda stream.

I think coffee machine was first on day 2?

  • +7

What a rort that event was.

  • I wish I get rejection email at least. Same for my friend (different IP, address, phone, etc). And nobody could explain why.
I guess we were not even in DB of users that could possible win :(

    • Maybe u didn't opt into emails

    • I did "Email Opt-in Yes"

      • when did u do it?

      • I registered after Frenzy started…may be the case

  • +14

Least amount of winners from Ozbargain I've seen yet - assuming they either drastically lowered the prizes or people figured out how easy it was to game the system before Ozbargain did and got all the prizes from that…

Can't wait for the site to die. Lottery scam coupled with some mediocre sales which preys upon a lack of knowledge from the public and lack of transparency.. Always horribly mismanaged as well

    • +6

I still reckon they pulled the last prizes. Who would know? Like you said, there is always a significantly higher amount of winners.

Would be amazing if ozbargain blacklisted all deals related with clickfrenzy next time. They always give ozbargain so much crap, and that would probably be the only way to get their attention as I'm sure it would affect their bottom line.

Maybe someone else would even take the opportunity and create an new similar campaign, trying to take over clickfrenzys clients as their reputation is tarnished.

Obviously neither of these things will happen, but it's a nice thought 🙂

      • It would be cool to see how many people OzBargain referred to click frenzy.

    • +6

From a consumer rights point of view it just doesn't seem right that they can run a competition like they are running that is so ambiguous. We don't know how many items are up for grabs, we are asked equivocal questions, further more we are never told the answers just that we weren't successful. The lack of transparency is troubling, it seems far too much is left to the discretion of Click Frenzy, from interpreting undefined answers to what they deem as 'fraudulent activity'. I am not at all convinced everyone has an equal chance of 'winning' and equally I would have no idea if CF family and associates 'won', surely we have consumer protections against this type of practice?

      • +6

Wait till you see who they picked on facebook for the winning prize. Such a lame 25 words (which I think was actually 26 words).

  • +4

Check out the winning "25 word" entry that they thought embodied all of their criteria: heartfelt, unique and fun

This is the instagram link - https://www.instagram.com/p/CAo7MLeHXUb/

    • I must be old but what is green text?

      • Like how iMessage is blue and all other ones are green (sms) on iOS.

    • From a comment on the post:

"one of them is in marketing and the other is a wannabe actress. This is totally rigged. Absolutely disgusting. Should have gone to a frontliner not these 2."

  • For your chance to win a set of Apple Airpods (RRP $249), type in your best estimate of how many clicks the 'Trending' category received during the 2020 Click Frenzy Mayhem event.

  • Did anyone receive the $50 frenzy bucks? I lodged my paperwork immediately after the event went live (while the site was still having problems) and would be extremely surprised if I was not one of the first 200 people.. haven't heard anything, and noticed today that my uploads have now been removed.

  • Just got successful email for $50 frenzy bucks woohoo and i uploaded the receipt quite late because website was slow.

    • +1

Thanks for the heads up, just checked and I got it too!

Was able to upload my proof of purchase at about 7:30. Was a bit worried when the website was having issues, but then again, this was happening to everyone.

      • +1

no worries mate! Glad to see some people like you getting it too! same mine was about 8pm, i almost gave up in uploading but my mum was like just do it you never know

  • Ooh i got an email for it too! Just wasn't sure if it was spam at first but seems legit

  • Got my Frenzy Bucks email, but why are they asking for your contact details when they're already associated with the user account? Makes me wonder if this is legit or just another personal details harvesting exercise.

  • Has anyone who won something had confirmation of their item being sent yet?

The email I received said it could take up to three weeks, well it has been three weeks now and I've had no updates.

So is it just me, or are we all in the same boat?

    • Haven't got confirmation either.

I sent them an email this morning, got a response saying they have started shipping items and expect all to be dispatched by June 19th.

      Fingers crossed.

    • My Nest Hub Max got "shipped" on Friday with a CouriersPlease tracking number, but no updates on said tracking number yet.

  • The Samsung TV I won was just delivered earlier today. I received an email from the production manager last week and was called yesterday to confirm delivery for today.
