Time to go nuts, get told your orders won’t be honoured, not being responded and literally go nuts again!

  • +24

I genuinely feel they should have to disclose how many of the $10 TV's, $5 Dysons and $3 XBox there are on offer Australia wide. It really smacks of those baity Catch Of The Days sales.

    • +3

you can be sitting there clicking before the sale is even on, those items will still get bought before you even have a chance to come back from a not responding expired webpage.

    • +3

the answer is 1, its always 1.

      • +1

No. The answer is zero. They sell it to themselves or their staff :)

  • +4

    Consumerism at work.

How many more made up events will they create.

Banks should run a save your hard earned cash frenzy day

  • +6

Not even gonna waste my time on the big deals this year, i couldn't do it any faster then last year and had no luck then.

    • same here

    • Just doing it quick enough isn't sufficient. They'll cancel your order for no reason and don't respond to your emails at all.

  • +1

I went to order some prescription sunglasses today from VisionDirect. Cashrewards was listing some voucher codes (expiry 16/5) MAYHEM10 gives you 10% off total price. Can't find this business listed under Click Frenzy Mayhem, but possibly related???

    • I can't find VisionDirect from ClickFrenzy's official participant list so I guess VisionDirect is just using this opportunity to push out otherwise unrelated promotion.

  • +4

Was lucky to win the TV last year, looking forward to this one.

    • +2

Awesome. Did you preemptivevly input your credit card details etc?

      • +1

Nah mate, had PayPal onetap purchase which was a huge advantage for some people last year. They've disabled it this year, so only credit cards.

        • Where did you get this information? really there are professionals here, proud of ozb

        • @djprima: Read it on an article last night, can't find it.

        • +1

          @djprima:
Only Mastercard and Visa will be accepted this event.

PayPal will not be accepted. You can use your browser’s autofill to speed up the process, but please check out these tips from technology and cybersecurity expert, Ben Aylett, of EziWireless first.

          Full info here - https://www.clickfrenzy.com.au/pro-tips/index.html

        • This is why google autofill is awesome.

  • +1

Time to go nuts trying to go nuts.

Seriously, these deals actually just make me want to crack open a beer and obsess over life's problems.

  • Does eBay usually get involved in these? I've got to buy some things off the site and a discount would help

      Thanks, I will get one.

    • -1

How do we get one I am mainly interested in the go pro and Xbox one s and tv

  • +1

Is it usually ridiculously difficult to get the big deals? As in the faster your internet connection the better your chance?

    • +1

As in the faster your internet connection the better your chance?

Up to a certain point. Yes, a fast internet connection means you load the page before somebody else does, but the rest is down to how fast you find the link to the hidden store, click on the item, proceed to the checkout and pay for the item.

The item is not allocated to you at any stage of the "Buying process". This is why it's so difficult. It can go out of stock when you're waiting for Paypal to load a page…

    • There are twice as much as items this time and double the stock according to the co-founder in an interview, so the chance of winning something increases by 1%…

  • +5

My bet is there will be only one $3 Xbox One on offer. Only one $10 TV on offer. Etc

    • -1

so if 1000 people try and buy 1 of those at the same time, it could literally go in 1 millisecond.

      • Which going from memory which is exactly what happens during these Click Frenzy deals. Gone faster than you can even get to the checkout.

  • Excited for this click frenzy, won a Fitbit last time, good luck to everyone!

  • Has anyone received any of the clue emails yet? or will these be sent closer to the start time?

  • +2

I remember someone look into the html of the previous deals to get the number of items available. Looking forward to the clues!

  • What page are we spamming refresh on to pounce on these deals as they become available, the link on OP or specific store pages?

    • Info will be in email that is yet to arrive

      • I got my email last year at 6:54. So around 7 I say

  • +1

IF Cayman Mal had given me a proper NBN might have a chance on some of these items! ;)

  • +2

Has anyone received an email yet?

    • +1

      negative

    • Nope…

      • Poop. I can't recall, do we have to login?

        • No login required. But you must have registered beforehand and subscribe to newsletters.

    • +1

    • refresh the homepage then they are there

    • CTRL+F and search for Categories.

    • Oh true thanks guys

  • +1

so what are we - do we keep refreshing the page in the mentioned category or how does it work? does something appear ont he page?

    • +1

You put the value of the TV on RED on roulette and accept the better odds

  • do i need to keep refreshing?

  • +2

    3. Only MasterCard and Visa will be accepted this event. PayPal will not be accepted.

To those neggers, I'm not trolling; it's under pro tips under the actual CF website.

  • Got the email - thanks for the links hamza23

  • Does the banner show if adblock is enabled?
    Last question i promise

    • no

    • No, at least it doesn't for ublock, I got caught out at the beginning last year.

    • No, you should whitelist clickfrenzy.com.au

    • Ah right cool thanks

    • -1

showed for me last year with adblock enabled

  • Wasn't there a clickfrenzystore you had to sign into before hand last year. Do you have to do that this year aswell?

      • Yea. But it says it is closed for me.

        • Exactly, it is closed. Can't login.

    • www.clickfrenzystore.com.au is still there but it looks like it's obsolete this year - you don't seem to be able to log in to it.

      • Maybe we have to use chrome autofill for everything. Guess we will find out when someone gets the T.V

      • That's the http/insecure one, the https one is up but protected with a password until launch. I guess once that shows without the password then the banner should show shortly after.

        • That's what I was referring to, I just included the domain not the full URL.

Anyway, I'm 99% sure it's not in use, and they developed their own facilities, instead of using Shopify this year, that's why they're not supporting PayPal (not enough time to develop support for that).

    • +1

There was a login last year. I also had my login credentials saved up in Lastpass… but the credentials cannot be used to login (Password incorrect).

There's also no Username or Email field.

      • Same. The url has changed as well. No luck on the site yet.

  • +1

Im not sure i can be bothered refreshing and just looking at my monitor for a whole hour; can someone buy me the tv and then the xbox? kthx dudes i appreciate it ;)

    • +1

Auto refresh extension is your friend :)

      • thanks, installed :D

  • What does the email say? I didn't receive an email ? =(

    • Me either but Cisco posted it just above

    • +2

You just need to sit on the categories pages that Hamza has linked to and mash your F5 key till you see something. Every hour, there's a new product that will be available as a "banner ad" on each page, so your adblock needs to be off.

      • Thanks buddy

      • Lol I just checked my email and i got that initial email at 7:53 PM ….

  • Do they blacklist you if your order was cancelled last year for violating the '1 per household term.' I remember last year my friend and I both got a Google Home when we were at University, and both got cancelled.

    • Wouldn't be surprised if they got cancelled because they were on the same network.

  • +6

even their emails are a lottery, didnt get one either

  • Still haven't even got the email yet when i seemed to be one of the earlier ones last year.

Guesses for time the first one goes live? 7:43pm

    • 7:47

  • Anyone know if Nike or ASOS gonna have any deals for click frenzy?

  • +2

The TV does't look very good.

  • +1

Would be an interesting stat to see how many users are viewing this thread then how many are on the clickfrenzy page spamming refresh

    • +2

217 active users on this thread. 3rd highest page currently. 1 is front page (1085), 2 is deals page (695).

      via Google Analytics Real Time.

      • Ah cool!

  • will it be at the bottom, the top or a new pop up?
