    Colleague has one of these, but with the GTX1650 card. It's actually a really nice laptop visually. Value-wise, it isn't the best, but the Surface books are around this price too, and they're also not that great value in my opinion. So… horses for courses?

    I think this laptop with 16GB RAM was $1680 (after discounts) in the recent Dell 20% off ebay sale.

    just like in asus post, keep in mind that i7-10510U isn't really a 10th gen CPU. still 14nm lithography process, old graphics, slower ram

    if you are going to buy a laptop, get a model with a true gen10 CPU like i5-1035G1 (or G4, or G7 for stronger graphics) - can't remember the i7 SKU. they are 10nm, refreshed graphics, support ddr4-3200.

    If you don't need the i7 power or the 512GB storage you could save $180 and buy the i5 CPU/256GB model is $1,378.99 (was $2,298.99),

    Are Dell known for price jacking before a sale? I'm looking at the Inspiron 14 7490 but its starting price has gone up $200 from two months ago, when there was a previous deal posted on OzB.
