Good price, but it’s worth noting that for $299 you can get the same kit From Amazon but with Skyrim, Astro Bot, Everybody’s Golf and Resident Evil, which is far better value for the $40 extra…

    • Which is a great deal. Was $399 a month ago

Can you? It was sold out when I checked.

      • It's been sold out for a couple days. Also apparently you need the move controllers to play skyrim, golf and resident evil, so wouldn't be something you can play out of the box anyway (i'm waiting for my delivery today).

        • Resident Evil is DS4 controls only, Skyrim and Everybody's Golf (and some of the parts of VR worlds) can use either DS4 or moves - moves probably the preferred way to play, but not essential.

    • mega pack is sold out though

Coupon code is targeted and is $10 off not 10%

  • Looks like a cheap way in to VR if you already have a ps4, but how good is it? Does it stack up against the vibe or oculus products?

I was hoping daydream would give me my VR fix but now that has been canned I need to look elsewhere :( don't actually have a ps4 either

    • Buy an oculus quest when they’re back in stock. I have quest and a psvr. Haven’t picked up the psvr since I got the quest and planning to sell it.

      • why you like quest better than psvr?

        • Psvr has very poor controller sensing. It was a cool novelty but could only play in 15 minute intervals before I got bored. I’ve played the quest for hours at a time because it’s a put on and forget experience. No cables and very little effort you have to put into making sure the controllers are sensed correctly.

          • @joeyhotz: Does the quest play everything the full size one does? I presume it uses steam and Linux or something along those lines?

            • @Jackson: That’s the only downside. To make it stand alone they had to put a computer inside the headset which obviously can’t be too powerful as it has to be small and light. It uses android and has quest specific built apps and games. There is quite a large range of games available and they work awesomely, but not as many as you can get with steam. Beat saber on the quest is worth the headset price tag alone imo. But you can connect to your computer with a USB c cable and play all the steam games if you want so you get the best of both worlds.

              • @joeyhotz: So does anyone still by the regular oculous? That USB C connection sounds like the killer feature

@Jackson: I think it has slightly better resolution and frame rate. So some people do but often people prefer having the option of a standalone experience.
