$5 Shipping Australia Wide @ Mwave

1160

Mwave is running a promotion with coolermaster to offer free shipping on your whole order if you have their products in cart with no minimum, as their cheapest item is some thermal paste you can get $5 shipping on anything.

Not sure if mwave would honor it but for example I added a custom built pc, a chair, and a monitor to cart checked shipping to regional WA (in this case Kununurra) it came out to $375 shipping, added the thermal paste and took it to free delivery. Effectively saving $370.

hmm sure they will honor this?

    • +3

Not sure, I don't have anything I need to buy to try it out but doesn't hurt to try if anyone was planning to buy something soon.

    • +3

They had a similar promotion with Belkin last month that they honoured. I ordered a bulky item with $40+ postage and added a $2.95 cat6 cable and got free shipping on it.

I was nervous about posting it here in case they didn't ship it :)

  • +16

When you hover over the terms it says "when you purchase over $100 of Cooler Master in the same cart"… so would be interesting to see if they honour it.

    • Oh interesting, I was on mobile so I didn't notice that. They probably wouldn't honor the order if that's the case.

      • Fingers crossed for you though! It is pretty shitty on their part though as they shouldn't have a 'free shipping whole order' sticker on the item… then have free shipping in the checkout… but have terms and conditions which isn't validated when you do the order.

I didn't actually order I just picked a random regional postcode to see if it would work on the extreme end, then posted the deal.

          • @TheXylis: I did actually go through with the order. It was just a power supply, not something super bulky like a chair, but I went all the way through with the sale and payment without any extra shipping costs being added. Saved $15 on postage, which is nice.

They've sent confirmation emails for the purchase and received payment, so while they could still cancel it at this point I think it's unlikely.

  • Hmmm, should I get graphics card now or wait for potential price drops?
Looks like I can get a low profile 1050ti for $264 or 1650 for $284 which is a bit cheaper than everywhere else

    • +4

Thé 1050 ti were $200 at xmas, and the dollar is similar now.
With lock downs ending it is hard to see sustained demand in the next few months.

      • Cheers, hopefully it comes back down to those prices soon

  • Wouldn't mind a Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240R Addressable RGB ..
Putting together a 3700x build (no OC) was just going to use the stock Wraith Prism.
Supposedly very good for stockos, maybe a bit loud?

    (It's $20 more expensive than U-mart anyway)

    • Yeah the Prism is fine, just a bit loud. I have the ML240L and it's overkill for the 3700x, not going to see any meaningful difference in temps over a decent air cooler like the Hyper 212 variants. Thermal density is the bottleneck with this generation with the small size of the chiplet, and they don't put out enough heat to need the cooling capacity of a larger AIO.

      • Cheers for the reply, good to know and the stock cooler looks pretty good.

Still need to sort out some fans for the loan Li PC-011, don't think it comes with any, the case is supposedly designed for water cooling which was why I was looking at that or the corsair hydro h110i cpu aio cooler.

Both seem like bit of an overkill as you say, probably still need a few 3 packs of fans, don't care too much about RGB but Maybe ok if not too expensive.

Perhaps should consider different case of not water cooling.. already got it but unopened and didn't want to spend over $200

  • +13

Just ordered 20 of the $5 thermal pastes to make the $100 minimum. Cheers op.

  • saying minimum of $100 worth now so not really $5 shipping anymore

    • so your cart has to be over $100 for free shipping

      • Your cart not only has to be over $100, but must contain over $100 of cooler master items (is what the conditions say, but maybe they'll honour it regardless)

  • +2

Bought something and it worked, I'll let you know if they don't honor it

  • Hope they have heaps of thermal paste

Looks like there is free shipping on your whole order with Seagate products as well:
    https://www.mwave.com.au/hdds/solid-state-drives-ssd/seagate

  • Can buy some mince meat at Aldi for $5 or dominos pizza.

Can't say the taste will last long, but if delivery was free well then that would taste wrong.

  • Adding the link to the Cooler Master category: https://www.mwave.com.au/brands/cooler-master-149

Bought my new MSI GS66 Stealth from them a couple of weeks ago - everything was perfect, highly recommended.

  • Shame their $49 GT 710 promotion just ended. It's a cheap way of adding 3 monitors to a PC that doesn't need intensive graphics.

  • +5

So mwave/seagate are running a couple of different promos, some of which seems like they stack ie, https://www.mwave.com.au/product/seagate-barracuda-510-500gb…

This SSD will get you the $5 shipping, but also a $30 e-gift card:
    https://nbg.seagate.com/consumer-2020-stimulus-promo

I Was looking at buying a case which was going to cost about $111 in postage, instead I could add that SSD ($159), and claim back the e-gift card ($30 for that model), and basically end up with essentially a free SSD instead of wasting over $100 on postage costs!

    Not a deal.

I need a computer chair to Darwin. Do I risk it. Buy the Thermal Paste and Gaming Chair. $5 delivery to Darwin. It states fees free shipping when I checkout.

As in Gaming Chair which one should I look at. Looking for recommendations.

    • +9

My advice would be to avoid gaming/racing chairs and chairs with PU leather. Get a proper mesh office chair. It'll be far more comfortable and last a lot longer.

  • Where's is the bargain?

  • That's some pretty worth it thermal paste right there xD

  • I actually need some thermal paste. Should I buy this one for $5 delivered or any others recommended?

    • It's not $5 delivered, you have to pay postage (only free pickup, unless you spend $100).

  • Why does this have so many upvotes? The deal is if you have $100 of coolermaster products in your cart, shipping is free. Not $5

    • Is it working for only $5?

      • It was. That's why there were so many votes.

        • ok then thats an epic bargain

    • Because at least for some people (myself included) they gave free shipping with only $5 of coolermaster. Obviously a bug, but it looked like they might be honouring it.

      • So has anyone had their order posted when they only bought $5 of coolermaster?

        • +1

I'll get back to you tomorrow, this started too late in the day for anything to be posted. They have accepted the payment though.

        • Took a while to finish processing, but my order did ship today despite me only buying $5 of coolermaster stuff. So they did honour it even though it was probably a bug.

  • A video on Thermal paste buying.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dTzf6dpCpo

  • Any good fan setups on special?
Got a Lian Li PC-011 but not doing water cooled. The corsair RGB fans aren't cheap but better quality it seems.

  • Has anyone got their order shipped yet? Mine is still stuck in 'Processing'.
