          • @Vulvasaur: All good mate!

          • @Vulvasaur: You just said the phrase “my bad”.

            Australian English is dead.

We all speak a variation of ‘Murican these days.

            • @00: Too right mate. (profanity) seppos ruin everything ay cobber

          Ok Boomer

          • @Epixx: Actually Gen X, Gen Y or Millennial, depending on which definition you look at.

I guess back then they were with at least part time 4WD.

That’s why the name had to change. 2WD models were coming out so you couldn’t call them 4WDs any more.

    • +1

I…uhhhh…. what do you call the vehicles in the form factor of a 4WD (large open back area, boxy shape) that are not 4WD. I'm genuinely interested.

        Softroader!

    • I found the guy that complains about Halloween being American each year. 😅

      • Bloody oath!

    • That depends on country. I just googled chips and clicked images, it mostly shows "Chips" as you mean as well as Potato chips - the thin round ones :)
I connected to India via VPN, then it shows only Potato chips, because the "Chips" thats shown in the air frier, we call them as "French fries". In fact people dont even know French fries are also called as "Chips". I was surprised when I came here and heard the term Chips for fries.

I believe this applies to many countries. when there are such discrepancies between countries, languages though all are english gets mixed up especially due to internet and globalization. Its like we follow centimeters and kilometers but measure phone screen size and d*** size in inches. What gives?

Reminds me of the cornballer from Arrested Development for some reason.

A lot of the non-stick coating started coming off after a while… I'd heard similar complaints before purchasing so I tried not to scrub when washing after use, but stuff really sticks to it and it's hard to wash it off without scrubbing.

    • Would the Philips be better? I have the same problem with my cheap air fryer now

Am I weird for always mimicking Beavis when I see these fryer deals, by saying "FRYER! FRYER!" along the lines of "fire, fire!" ?

  • Just purchased the 5.3L airfryer, thanks mate 😊👍

  • More to the point, where the heck has the sausage roll maker gone?

  • Bought one. Time to make some potato gems!

  • What's everyone's go-to air fryer recipes?

I did dorito crumbed chicken nuggets the other day, turned out great.

  • I bought this a few weeks ago and it's one of my favourite iso purchases. So far I've mainly used it for frozen food (chips, pies, potato gems) but the speed and convenience compared to firing up the oven is definitely worth it.

  • Out of stock online, already!

  • How often to clean? is it easy

    • Ideally you'd want to clean if after each use. Its pretty easy to clean otherwise

  • I purchased this online a few weeks ago and was promptly refunded by Kmart, I give it 48hrs for the same to happen here

I'm loving my Anko 5.3 litre Air fryer I got last week. (took many weeks to actually find one)

does anyone know if this one is better than the $49 woolworths one?

    • does anyone

    • Works well, easy to use and cheaper. It is still small and suit for someone cooking for 1-2 people. I’ve tried both and would go from the Mistral one if you can find it.

  • What's a decent sized air fryer?
Been wanting one for a while but I read a post that said anything under 5L is too small?

    • +2

I find that this air fryer is good. The bigger ones generate a lot of heat out of the exhaust for some reason.

Unless the size above this was a 10lt there is no point in getting something bigger. Only real problem is cooking say a whole chicken and wanting chips too, there is no room for the chips so have to cook separately, rather than putting them in half way through.

  • I just rang Carousel, Perth, WA. They currently have about 10-12 in stock. Good luck :)

  • I just bought one, so the out of stock might have just been because too many people had it in their cart. It times out after 30 minutes. Or maybe I was just lucky! Thanks OP.

  • Booo just got an email of cancellation :(

    • Did they give you a reason?

      • Nah, just refunded straight away. I think its just oos

  • Back in stock online

  • I just wanna know which one i should buy.. This or the woolies one.

  • Is this large enough to air fry a whole chicken?

I'll take a guess you need at least 5L

What's going on here? Have I missed something. Since when was this a loved item on here.

  • great airfryer, but the front cover of the basket is flimsy & prone to falling off - doesn't affect operation though

  • Thought I scored when I ordered the 5.3l airfryer until Kmart refunded my money next day :(

  • Ordered this morning (money taken), just refunded this evening (money will be refunded in 48 hours). I would stay clear of K-Mart online if this is how they are operating.

  • Second wave of these fryers are now back in stock, metro Sydney.
