    • I think it may have been machine dependent and machines at most pllaces have now been upgraded. May be some old Woolies running pre-2018 setup it may still work. Would be great if some can confirm.

    • Whilst not specifically paying with a Woolworths eGift Card, does anyone know if the 10% Woolworths Mobile/Insurance offer each month can be applied to this or any other type of Gift Card?

      • -1

        This deal is expired.

        • +1

that answer is not for his question.

  • Buy a $50 gift card with a HSBC debit card and get another $1 (2% off paywave)

  • Can I use eBay gift cards to pay for eBay Plus, does anyone know? I found info that they can't pay for seller's fees, but nothing about eBay Plus.

    • I don't think you can and I suggest you to wait for free eBay plus.

  • I hope you can buy multiple eBay cards and points are up like previous deals.

    • -1

An earlier comment noted only one card per woolies account i.e. max 1000pts per customer. If however you have multiple Woolies accounts then……..

      • If correct, this would be very different to most offers.

      • There is no such limit, I can confirm this as I've bought many and am planning to buy many more.

  • I have an eBay eGC and can't seem to be able to use it in conjunction with a discount code. There's only one box at check out which says enter 'Gift cards, vouchers, coupons'. Does it mean that if you have an eBay gift card, you can't use it with a discount code? Or am I missing something?

    • +1

yes you can, you have to enter it twice in the same box for the discount code and giftcards

      • Thanks heaps. Will try it next time. Yesterday, I was on the mindset that only one code, coupon or voucher can be used, so I just used a code and then used my card while I figure this out.

"You can spend more than one gift card at a time, or use a gift card on top of a voucher or discount offer. At checkout, put in one code at a time in the Gift cards, vouchers, coupons section and select Apply after each one to update your order total. You can use up to 8 codes per transaction."

Just tried it myself, 4 Gift cards and the PMON20 discount code. Worked nicely!

Just a warning, eBay gift cards are quite dodge. They allow refunds to go back to the same card but don't offer a transaction history so you cant track your spending. I had 2 new $100 cards and spent a small amount on one then used the rest on a larger purchase. The seller cancelled and refunded both purchases but one card is short around $4. EBay couldn't work out why and have escalated but it's been around 10 days and I haven't heard back. I found quite a few complaints of missing money from ebay gift cards searching google so buyer beware.
Also if refunded you can't use the card on another account/gift it to someone else as it's linked to your account and can only be used on the first account that redeems any amount.

    • +1

Yeap, they are a pain as no way to track spending on them other than call ebay and ask them.
My workaround was to keep a speadsheet with Giftcards and whenever I use, I note what was purchased and deduct from total. It's the only way especially if one has many. I sometimes can have 10 x $100 on hand so requires proper recording for accounts purposes.
But free discount is money saved hence giftcards can be handy if one is buying a lot or large ticket items.

      • +1

I write on the back of em with a permanent marker, and keep em a bit

    • I had same issue and had to escalate multiple times to get transaction history.

    • +1

i think 2.6% PayPal cancellation fee might be charged for a gift too, even though might seem strange as you didn't pay via PayPal…but the seller got the money you paid via your gift card in his PayPal account..and when a seller refunds that item from his PayPal account it imposed a 2.6% cancellation fee…in short every future cancellation from all sellers who get money in their PayPal account will have 2.6% fee. hope this clarifies…

  • So again just to confirm, if I buy 5 of these TGG eftpos cards, I get 10k points? or just 2k once?

    • No one has seen the full terms yet. But normal offerings aren't capped.

    • 10k, confirmed

  • Does anybody know how many giftcards I can use (max) per transaction for JB Hifi?

    • 10,000

  • This has already started in Perth? Or is it a different offer? It's in the catalogue and I also saw it at Woolworths Kingsway.
    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/63010/80729/screenshot…

    • +1

      Completely different offer.

      • Oh ok…thanks for clarifying.

  • How many eBay giftcards can be used at at time?

    • Eight. But this also includes any discount code you might be using.

  • I have been to 2 woolies stores. Plenty of $100 cards, no $50 cards. Hopefully they stock up before the promotion starts.

    • There probably is plenty BUT you need to start hunting around and behind less frequented shelves in Woollies. Some devious OZ Bargainers got in early and hid them around the store awaiting the big day. Nothing would surprise me!

  • I have received the hard copy catalogue for the week beginning 24/6. The advertised cards are Ebay, Ultimate Style, Ultimate Students, Endota, Lorna Jane and Ultimate Home. $50 gift card is highlighted in the text/picture for 1000 bonus points. But there is a note which states "Available on all denominations of pictured gift cards".

    • Probably means that you'd get 600 points if you bought a $30 Ultimate Students gift card for example

      • I doubt they would only give partial points. I think you would either get the full points or you wouldn't

        • They've done it before for Google Play gift cards

  • +1

Available on all denominations of pictured gift cards

Does that mean 1000 or 2000 points on a $100 ebay card? In the past it's been 2000 on a $100 ebay card.

    • 2000 points if they holds true:

"Available on all denominations of pictured gift cards".

    • +3

I'll test this out Wednesday morning as I have only seen $100 ebay gift cards at my local stores.

      • Is it works for $100 one?

        • Just saw your comments below, thanks

  • Anyone know for sure yet if $100 Ebay card is in the deal ?

    • How more sure do you want it?

"Available on all denominations of pictured gift cards".

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/545202#comment-8894894

      • I know it looks 100% .
Just don't want to be caught with my pants down on 1st 1k order .

        • +1

Then you'll have to wait until at least tomorrow for someone to report back.

  • +2

Here is the thing. It says “Available on all denominations of pictured gift cards”. However, the disclaimer says it is 1,000 points, which could mean it might be only 1,000 points per card regardless of denomination.

    • +1

      Good thinking .

    • +1

      No.

    • I have a feeling this will be the case.

  • +17

Just purchased 10 x $100 eBay gift cards. Received 20,000 points, so 2,000 points for $100 gift card

    • Was there a specified limit on how many you can buy?

      • +1

There wasn’t even any signage at my store. I purchased 10 in the one transaction. That’s all I needed. Get in early, I can’t see these lasting long.

    • +1

Thanks for confirming unity1. Updated OP & title :)

    • Thanks for testing and reporting this mate.

    • Can you buy the $100 gift card using your points?

      • +1

        No

        • You should be able to. I've done it before.

          • +2

@CVonC: Doesn't mean you can now though; things change

            • +1

@kerfuffle: Rewards are redeemable on SIM starter packs if anyone need it. Currently Optus/Amaysim/Lebara $30 ones for $10 each.

          • @CVonC: does not work, been like this since late last year or early this year

    • :)

    • Were your points credited instantly? If so, assuming we would get 10 Qantas SC per 2000 Woolies Rewards points?

      • Yes, I received an email 30 minutes later advising 20,000 Woolworths points have be converted to 10,000 Qantas points.

        • Fantastic. Getting $500 worth of gift cards will give you 5k QFF points, 50 SCs, and any other credit card points you may be getting.

Plenty of eBay ones at Woolies QV Melbourne CBD btw.

Edit - I got 3x $100 eBay and 4x $50 eBay gift cards. Took a while to activate all but got a confirmation on the receipt that I've earned 5000 QFF points.

      • Is qantas point better off than getting a $10 for the next purchase?

        • +1

Personal preference and/or needs - I value the SCs a lot more than the savings but if you don't fly around too much, $10 off may be better.

  • +3

Confirmed. 2000 points for the $100 eBay cards

    • FYI, my original transaction was 10 $100 cards but the system asked for business details. Apparently it's a new requirement for $1000+ transactions. So I had to split it.

      • +1

        I go 9 X $100 and 1 X $50 to avoid that .
Useful to keep only the checkout staff in play and no supervisor's / manager's if doing more rounds

      • So it is possible to buy upto ten $100 GCs to get $100 as points onto your everyday account?

        • +1

You can buy more but just keep each transaction below $1000.

          • @C0mbat: Thats great atleast its not like coles where they restrict you to one per flybuys.

  • +1 Confirmed, after purchasing 10 $100 ebay gift card in one transaction, which is the limit, got "$100 OFF YOUR NEXT SHOP°" in the woolworth rewards page.

  • There’s about 30 x $100 EB GCs left at Majura.

  • really i just spent $2500 on ebay 2 days ago… that could have got me a lot of free pizzas

  • So can I buy 18 100$ gcs in two transactions and I'd still get all points?

    • Yes, you can also do 18 single transactions too..

      • thanks

        • just remember ebay only allowed you to use up to 8 codes per transaction.

    • why stop at 18?

  • Can we buy eBay gift card using points?

    • No

      • Are you sure? I've done it in the past after they cracked down on buying gift cards with wish gift cards and it worked.

  • What are people spending on ebay with $1800??

    • High value items such as Laptops/Fridges/TVs/Phones

    • Best price , even beats Amazon with plenty of double and even triple stacking available :)
I'd give up if you couldn't find a bargain at Ebay with that power .

    • +1
  • Just used 8 x $50 on ebay and used a promo code so (9 vouchers in total). Appears I could enter more. Just be aware the conversion will happen with the points right away at the register. I had it set to Qantas points, probs should have switch it over to cash on a future shop.

  • Can anyone confirm if these 'gift cards' cards are restricted to just the advertised stores or are they 'open' but not advertised as such?

    • Read the comments.

  • +1

Do the current staff discount of 10% work anymore with these Gift cards ?
