Perfect timing - AU ver with carpet roll head. Thanks!

  • +1

whats the difference between the carpet head v9 and v9P youmi?

    • Same Specs but with better finish on the top.

      • @gearbite does v9p youmi have carpet head?

    • V9P Youmi is a more mordern colour palette / cosmetic. Same specs though.

Selecting either in the drop down will change the image to what each looks like. V9P has a red stem among other minor cosmetic changes.

Got the vacuum so where can I buy the carpet head?

    • I bought one at aliexpress for $70 delivered incl taxes on sale now.https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000618985466.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dgozE7q

  • Got one of these from a previous deal. Instructions say to remove sponge from HEPA filter before rinsing but can’t work out how to do that. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

  • +1

    Any stock/deal for the V10?

    • is there a significant difference between the two models?

      • I think better suction, same battery though. And I think some additional attachment/feature. Haven't looked into it too much but keen to see what deals there are and the price it comes to when on sale to make a decision on the v9.

        • +1

Yeah v10 has the flexible hose attachment, essential for vacuuming the car!

  • +5

    eBay Plus only = :(

  • Is the combo worth it? Have tiles and some carpet in bedroom.

    Please halp

    • +1

If you want deep carpet cleaning then yes

  • +11

Bought one last time they were on sale. They're pretty good, just a bit heavy but it's really powerful and I kinda love vacuuming now..

Got one from last deal, very satisfied. Had a dyson v6 which feels and is inferior. Not only did the wife compliment me twice, even the kids did saying how nice it was.

  • I've head a lot made of 'sealed vacuum systems' (mainly from vacuum wars), anyone know if this one is sealed?

  • very satisfied. Used to drag around a heavy vacuum. So cumbersome that I only vacuumed once a month. Now I vacuum whenever I feel like it.

  • Does anyone know if the carpet head is good for deep carpet cleaning?

    • From previous deal posts, users have commented how impressed/disturbed about how much dirt they’ve picked up using the carpet head.

  • What’s the dyson V10 equivalent or similar?

    • +1

There are many dreame v9 or v10 vs dyson reviews on YouTube, I purchased dyson v10 last year for my parents, it’s good. I just place an order this, hopefully as good but half the price.

    • +1

Not my personal experience (don’t have one yet), but I recall on other posts people saying it is of similar performance to the V8, maybe slightly better.

  • +21

OK, got Dyson V10 and this at home, hard floor & tiles only, 2 mess generators with a cranky wife. I survived, so just give you a compare:

    Suction Power: Xiaomi = 70% V10;

    MAX Runtime(light load): Xiaomi = 85% V10

MAX runtime under heavy load: Xiaomi = 50% V10 - Try to use Xiaomi on 10 large suction bags to store your clothing and beddings - Xiaomi overheated itself and stopped after 4 bags, then cooled down for 30 mins, then it is OK again.

    Costs: Xiaomi = 30% V10

Value for money: Xiaomi-better dollar-performance value V10- Better long run value

Accessories: Xiaomi >V10, also Xiaomi is easier to empty the collection bin.

Just my own day to day use experiences, yours may vary.

    • Did you clean your hard floor using the soft roll head? Or just the normal edition head ?

    • +1

You say that the Dysen V10 has "Better long run value"… is this because you expect the product to last longer before needing replacement? Or did you mean something else?

      • +1

I think more for the warranty. I'm still using a Dyson V6, bought in xmas 2018. The battery died, called them, they sent out a replacement battery for free. The new batt came with a new 2 year part warranty.

  • Damn, just bought the Dyson v7 Cord-free last week. Should have waited.

  • Would like to know if this is suitable for pet hair on carpets and lounge sofa? And can it be used in a car to remove pet hair and sand after taking a dog for a play? All videos avoid pet hair. So might need to fork out for the Dyson V11.

    • My experience so far with the carpet head is no problems cleaning up cat fur and kitty litter from carpet and mats.

Have been pretty damn happy with getting one last time around.

  • Hi does anyone know why this does not have an official website? Nothing comes up on Xiaomi own website either

  • I have wooden floors at home - would I need the soft roll head or will the normal edition work fine?

  • I'm trying to buy but the coupon code is not working - I am an EBay Plus member.

    • I just tried it and it worked. It is applied at ebay checkout. Did you copy the code properly without spaces?

  • Is the carpet head really important, how does the standard head cope on carpet?

    • If you have a small area of short pile carpet, it is not so bad. The velvety roller is not as good as the dedicated rubber carpet roller at picking up things like crumbs, fruit loops or allens sweets….lol. If you buy it without the carpet head and decide you need one, you can get it on aliexpress for around 70-80 dollars depending on discounts. I had trouble finding it in stock elsewhere.

  • +1

Got this from an earlier deal after our Vax died. Does a really good job, the dust container is a little small but other than that, highly recommended.

  • This any good for cleaning the car? note it doesnt come with flexible hose, but can that be bought seperately? (cant find it from quick google)

    • +2

We have flexible hose for sale shortly.

      • Why do I have to be a eBay plus member to apply my discount code??

      • +1

Just bought one of these and am pretty keen to purchase the flexible hose also - can you post a link here once they're up?

      • very happy with the purchase. When do you think the flexible hose will be available?

  • -3

Ohh.. never had carpet head before.. is it better than a bedroom head?

  • Any v10 deals coming up?

  • +1

Damnit, I logged in for a quick look & have now bought the v9 and 2 bottles of tequila… bloody OzB!

Can anyone recommend a good stand to suit the v9?

  • Hi,

There is one more listing with the same item at your store, is there any differnce apart from $6 price?
    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dreame-Cordless-V9-Vacuum-Cleane…

    Thanks.

  • +2

Can anyone comment on the longevity of this product there is plenty of reviews on performance and features but I haven't found anything about reliability and longevity that's the only thing holding me back from this over Dyson

    • +1

I messaged someone from one of the old deals who purchased it over a year ago. They stated with regular maintenance (ie. wash the filter), it still sucks like new. I know one year is not long in the scheme of things, but that's just one example.

      • Thanks for the reply I'm not sure if there will be a review from longer than a year isn't this product fairly new

  • +1

Is there anyone who has this model able to comment on how the head goes with clogging up? My peeve hate for the Dyson V7 is that the inlet inside the head gets clogged up all the time and if not that then it's inside the barrel where things first enter. Mainly hair etc (a big greek family) but it annoys me so I went back to a bagless Kmart vac. Can anyone who owns one shed some light on if it clogs easily or if it's pretty good in terms of that? Thanks in advance.

  • +2

why was this not available yesterday arvo????? Dangit, bought it from the bestforapple mob, about $6 more expensive there!! Boooooo

    • If you're crying over $6, you got bigger problems…

      • +7

        any true ozbargainer would

  • +2

    This deal really sucks

    • aaaaa i see what you did there!

  • @Gearbite, how do you install the wall dock? From what I gather in the product demos, it looks like you need to drill some holes into your wall and screw the dock onto your wall.

  • Can anyone comment on the battery life please
And the battery replacement COST (Vax is $250,
Dyson replacement it a few times for free then I had
    Other vacumn problems )

  • Ok OzB, I need advice. I'm looking at getting either the Dreame V9, or… The Miele C3.

I know I know. They are two very different products.

    1. In terms of suction/airflow, are they comparable?
    2. Either would be stored in a cupboard, so form factor/looks isn't an issue for me
    3. The Miele C3 can be picked up for around $350 from Miele outlets, so there isn't too much difference in price.
    4. Run time isn't an issue, as I only have a small two bed apartment (carpet in bedrooms).

    I think I've covered everything?

    • +3

I have the Miele C3 and just bought this. Not to replace, but to compliment.

The Miele C3 is a great vacuum cleaner, small, very quiet, and excellent suction on all modes. However, it still is a "plug in" vacuum cleaner. It also has a bag, which I actually like - with the amount that it picks up it's quite convenient to just open, remove bag, and dump in the bin (great for allergies). The bags last ages too, which can be bought relatively cheaply online in bulk.

BUT while great for the "full house" clean, we don't do the random quick vacuum of a single area because of the setup - which is where the stick vacuum shines (hence bought to compliment). By setup I mean picking up, taking to area, pulling out all the chord, plugging it in, and then vacuuming, and then the reverse when finished.

Your 2bdr apartment really could be done easily with the stick vacuum, not so much for us, we have a double story 4bdr house. This is actually an issue with the traditional vacuum cleaner because my partner finds it hard (annoying?) carting it up and down the stairs. The Miele may have a more powerful suction (it's very good), but maybe the convenience of the stick means you'll actually vacuum more often and quicker, as opposed to less often and deeper clean.

Our Miele will more than likely live upstairs now, which is all carpet, whereas the stick vacuum cleaner will be downstairs which is majority floor boards and high traffic areas such as entry way and kitchen (great for a quick stick vacuum clean!)

PS: sorry for the long post!

      • Thank you very much for such a comprehensive answer. Looks like I'll pull the trigger on the dreame then. Thank you!

  • any comments on how this deals with long hair? i have seen one online review saying it clogs up quickly and hard to remove hair

  • +1

After months of seeing these deals I've finally succumbed and bought one!

    • I bought mine yesterday. Received an email from seller saying it is out of stock and if I would like Xiaomi Youmi V9P. Are they the same and should I take it? Also, why does the website not indicate that the Dreame V9 is out of stock?

      • I bought yesterday expecting a dreame to come but a Youmi arrived - I hope they're the same thing just slightly different designs?

        • +1

          You've already received it?!

Yes I believe they are the same with just a slight difference in the design.

          • +1

@The Hobo: Yep. Ordered Wednesday about midday and it came 10am today.

            Phew, thanks for the reply!

            • +1

@Wickadz: Hey, was just wondering if the V9p Youmi came with the carpet head included with the main unit, or with a separate box? One poster indicated that they received the carpet head with the main unit and the wood floor head separately.

Just trying to figure out if I can save money by buying the cheapest one and still getting the carpet head.

              Thanks!

              • +1

@Fishdog: Carpet head came with a separate box - however the normal head honestly seemed to do a reasonable job. It's more a standard dyson one (small amount of plastic fibres) without the extra fur for digging into the carpet.

  • +2

Just to say great service, ordered yesterday morning and it has arrived already

    • agreed, very helpful after i ordered under my old address and arrived this morning after 1 day also. would buy again! thank you!

  • Is this worth getting an eBay plus membership for??

    • wait for $1 annual membership or free trials..

      • There is a month’s free trial now.

  • +1

    No more stock on dreame?

  • +1

My V9P Youmi arrived today. The head that comes with the main unit is the carpet brush. The extra head that comes in a separate box is the wood floor brush. I actually don't need the wood brush as my floor is only tiles and carpet. I could have saved a bit more without buying the extra brush head.

    • just ordered one based off this so hopefully mine is the same!
