I've been tracking Nanoleaf prices closely - at the start of the year, the standard 9 pack kit went up to $349 from $299. This price is a reasonable deal so I pulled the trigger and got one yesterday.

  • Anyone owns one and can share some reviews would be great

Very happy with mine! And I bought them after my friends had them for a year. My friends use it in the living room, when people are over - especially nice when it's a chill night in, you're intoxicated and listening to music and admiring the lights.
I've set mine up in my bedroom, not far from my study table so it provides good lighting.
They're very bright - i wouldnt usually have them any more than 50%
Also, set up is super easy (compared to some other ones like the LIFX one)

TLDR: just buy it. I wish I bought mine at this price.
edit: OH just realised these were the canvas, mine were the panels (the triangles) - but review would still be the same!

    • I saw a comment that they look like a cheap plastic(canvas ones) during the day. So need to consider overall room design.

Everyone needs a passion, but I've never understood the attraction of these (expensive) items.

  • I've never seen this before. Looks awesome

Side effects may include increased fps or kda

  • no cashback for this, right?

  • Would JB price match?

    • +1

If you're lucky yes but their policy is to not price match online stores

They on OW website so could call them for price match. I’m after them too but a quick search puts them at around $200 from time to time. What’s $40 to enjoy them now though?

  • How does the canvas differ from the aurora panels?

    • built-in rhythm module and touch-enabled

      • and Canvas is Square vs Triangle shaped

I love mine, got them 40% off on amazon prime day 2 years back…awesome night lights

  • instructions unclear, ended up pushing the trigger.

  • I 3D printed 9 of these and it cost me way more than $240 if I factor in my time.

  • I have these setup behind my bed as decoration and doubling up as a reading light. I rate them but they are definitely expensive, and i get crap all the time on how much i spent on light panels.

Also consider the size of the panels. They're 15cm x 15cm each. Put another way, if you put them in a 3x3 grid, the light is only 45cm x 45cm. That's a small light for your money. I really like the idea but just can't get past the amount of money you pay for what you get. I feel that $100-$150 is where they should be.

    • Indeed, some of the fancy example designs in the amazon page are made up of three or four or even more of these packs. That's dropping some serious coin.

  • Very tempting for behind my monitor for lighting!

Plus then I could tax deduct them as an office light right?

    • As long as you only switch them on 9-5

  • So apparently xiaomi and nanoleaf share the same parent company and xiaomi have their own version which appears to be identical. Some articles said that it would be cheaper but I couldn't find any good deals.
