I already have a mortgage with Suncorp and I was not able to refinance and get this offer. You must be refinancing from another institution. Confirmed by my own broker.

    • Yes that’s the norm. That’s how it works unfortunately. Been in a similar situation. I just moved over :)

      • Hi OP,

For ANZ, what would be the variable rare? 100% offset available? Annual package fee? Cashback for about $330k loan?

        Cheers

Without offset 2.72% variable rate no annual package fee.

    • Out of curiosity, did you ask suncorp if they can give you the same interest rate only?

        • ended in May ?

    • Can get better rate from advertised rate 2.29% but not allowed to disclose on public platform.
      Thanks

      • Sorry. I forgot to mention, what are you getting for variable?

      • Every major bank is doing fixed for 2.19 now

        • Yes we could get same rate as well.

        • exactly! doesn't matter what the advertised is!

      • What about P&I OO refinance

        • Please check above comments, P&I OO??

          • @CelebrationFinance: 00 - owner occupier - you should know this OP!

            • @Maxdax: We know that ,but whats is your question?? are you asking about fix rate variable rates or cash back??

    • Depends what you want and with who. If just a standard loan no offset and with a big 4 you should be able to get around the 2.5%. Smaller lenders better. Push real hard.

Interesting, they give extra bonus for Frontline worker. Good gesture

  • Question, I have redraws available, if I pull these off the loan so that I can meet the 250k criteria and then refinance can I offset or lump sum back onto the loan?? Currently paying 3.8%

    • Yes , you can refinance orginal loan amount.

  • If i have a current loan as a first home buyer. How long it takes for me to wait to refinance it?
I know there are cost involve but maybe some other lender cover the cost or the cashback can cover for the cost to refinance

  • I was wondering if you can negotiate with Suncorp to get the annual fee waived for the life of the loan like for First home buyers…got a low balance and would like to switch to a product with no fee and offset

    • Not a chance. If you want no fees it’s best to go with a basic product and use redraw in substitute of offset
