Aren't these guys hard to port out of?

    Lol

    • Good for those who want to use data from a second sim.

    Nightmare to port out/cancel.

They’re still billing me, 6 months after cancelling the plan. CS keep telling me they fixed it but nothing’s changed.

Lodge a complaint with the TIO.

      • +3

Besides lodging a TIO complaint, just call your bank and block any further payments.
I would have done both after the first time they over charged me.

      • Every TIO complaint i've ever made (5-10) Has been successful they are really good.

    • how did you cancel it? chat ? couldn't find a direct link to cancel it

      • +1

I ported out on my final billing day and that was it. No extra/further charges.
I honestly must have been one of the lucky ones as I also read all the horror stories

        • Thanks mate, thinking of doing the same to avoid issues, What is the telco you have ported into? Did you select postpaid and account number with LW….?

          • +1

@bazingaa: I ported to a Telstra JB Hi-Fi deal. Yeah they entered it as postpaid and also included the LW. The staff were unsure if it would work as all other telco accounts start with number. But it went through straight away

Edit. Make sure port is done before midday EST of last billing day to be done that day

            • @Whatisthatvelvet: Thanks mate!

            • +1

@Whatisthatvelvet: Just ported to Belong with below details and ported within few minutes. I think I am one of the lucky ones.

              Current Operator: Do not Know
              Type: Post Paid
              Account number: LW…….

    • Had no problem after nearly 5 months free with them. There was a link to cancel. Couldn't have been much easier.

Just requested to cancel a week ahead & was cancelled on last day of month.

you are better off getting the $0.99 kogan deal unless you want billing nightmares. looks like a credit hit if its on a plan not worth the headache.

    • Agreed

Horrible company. Cancelled and they continued charging my card

  • +1

I am using this company for few months now and I don't know why but for last few weeks internet is really hit and miss. I will find another company as soon as I see a good offer. Any recommendations on dow to port out successful without the pain like other guys are facing?

    • +2

Stay there, no other network wants corona…

  • You guys are giving me anxiety for when I port out at the end of the 12 month promo.

    • I ported to Belong, and it took under 5 minutes to process.

I jumped on live chat and asked them what account number to use

    • +1

I would port out about a week before the end of the last month. You may lose a little benefit but save the headaches.

    Beware

Many reported in other Deals - no fee in first part month.

I took up the 4 month free deal here, signed up a few days into month & received waivers for nearly 5 months.
Requested to cancel (done on last day of month) - cost nothing.

  • Yeah was with them on a previous offer. Nightmare to cancel. Kept billing me after I had ported out. Had to go through a number of emails to cancel. even then the bills kept coming. I just ignored them and they stopped.

Had their 4 mth free offer a while back and they kept on billing me every month. Had to contact them every time and point out the offer i was on. Still got late payment warnings after contacting them. Not good, stay away.
Even though they use the Optus network the speed was never as good as Catch Connect (also Optus).

    • I got that deal too; I cancelled service on the last day of the 4 months - they wanted to charge me for the next month but backed down immediately I complained.

There was a $5 cashback for $0 charge for 4 months then, which made it worthwhile. Doesn't appear to be any cashback now.

Used same Deal. Used link to set up cancellation for last day of last month. Easy. Nearly 5 months free & received $5 cashback.

activate your SIM card by 30 June 2020

Hang on, how the hell do you get a sim card by next Tuesday to activate?

    Sound dodgey to me.
