Decent price for anyone looking.

Not the cheapest it's ever been as per the below:

$217.50 15/06/2020
$215.94 03/06/2020

Still a good price though.

Oh and the usual - first post please be kind, etc.

Expect a long wait time, my order from the 15/6 deal still hasn’t been shipped

    • My order from the 15th just shipped, with Fastway.. :(

      • I got an email mine has just been shipped as well, but no details who. Likely just leaving the US, haha!

  • Mine took about two weeks to arrive to Sydney metro. Ordered 03/06 arrived 15/06.

For anyone interested in ordering, I ordered mine on 6 June and it arrived 22 June.

In relation to warranty, I queried WD about Australian warranty for this product after ordering. They said I'd need to wait for an answer until I could provide a serial number. Once I gave the serial number they registered my product and I was told I'd have warranty until July 2025. It has been marked as "Out of Region", however I've been assured this won't affect any warranty claims.

    • If i was you i would take that assurance with a pinch of salt. You would probably still have to ship the drive off to some overseas warranty service centre.

  • Even factoring in GST and a small delivery cost, this is going for about 15-20% more than what it's selling for in the US typically, so this is probably one to pass over if you can.

    • It's still significantly less than anywhere here. The US sell price shouldn't matter as tax won't be added either, due to their stupid system

      • Tax is added either way, it's just the included delivery cost will tend to be much lower via AU, but obviously less items trickle through.

They even tax the freight cost when calculating on Amazon US, not that you can actually order anything to Australia via that at present.

  • Ordered mine on 7/6 for 215.94. Arrived last Thursday. Nice fast SSD:)

the Adata XPG SX8200 Pro 1TB has been getting great reviews and seems to sit between the 970 EVO plus and 970 pro in terms of performance. You can get em locally for ~$235: http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=SX8200+1tb&spos…

  • Any big differences between this one and the Kingston posted earlier this evening?
