  • Is that an LCD monitor?

  • Can't find details on your site.

  • Seems like a pretty good deal. Anyone found a better deal than this?

Also is this company trustworthy? Anyone bought anything from them before? Might bite if responses are positive.

How can I put in an order? Looked on your site but can't find this deal anywhere?

    • That is a lot of questions :P

They have an ebay store without much feedback on it, but the feedback so far has been positive. The use of istockphoto images makes me a little cautious though: http://www.massatech.com.au/products/Gamer-600T.html "sale now on" picture

Built a similar one myself recently and cost about the same or more!! This is cheap considering its done for you and includes windows 7.

    • +1

      I Dont think so:

"*Please note, Pre Loaded Windows is only a 30 day trial version. Full Version Available - ONLY $99!"

      • really? the rep said "Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit loaded (licence and disc)"

        • According to the website, it states otherwise. Perhaps the rep might want to clear this up.

  • Where is the direct link for the one posted??

  • dam good price would of got but i want to build my own

    but crap psu

  • I just built this EXACT same rig only with the 6850 instead of the 6950 (6950 is a way better card!) for just under $1000. This is a steal and would make a good hackintosh (tonymacx86.com) except that I don't think the 6950 is supported under OS X yet.

  • No mention of a monitor other than a pic and this: "$950 with a 23 " Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor - THATS Cheap!"

    Fine print people:

    OPTIONAL UPGRADES..

    Monitor - 20 " Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor - additional $189.00
    Monitor - 23 " Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor - additional $121.00 - THATS Cheap!
    Monitor - 27 " Widescreen Flat Panel Monitor - additional $499.00

  • omg this is so cheap, but the only component concern me is the reliability of case and psu. anyone know how good they are?

    • +1

normally Thermaltake make good power supplies (not the best but good)

  • I am thinking about getting one. Cheap, they have chosen some good quality components (although, I would love to know the model of the Power Supply).
Considering I only just last night priced (almost) this same system for $1150, It is a good deal.

The only thing I am unsure of is the remote support in case there is a problem. That said, $300 will buy a bit of that!

Good system price; but a few questions:

    1. can you guarantee that the particular model of motherboard will be used? the website doesn't specify a brand or model of motherboard, could end up with some H61 pile of garbage for all we know.

    2. can you make it cheaper with just 8gb ram - having 12gb ram in mismatched bays means no dual-channel, which is a bit of a waste.

    3. what brand is the graphics card? what is the exact model of the included PSU?

    • i think u shouldnt go on website, but rather copy this ads OP posted save it. details should be as OP stated

      • Hmm, and if we don't get what the OP says, what will we likely be told - their website did not specify motherboard, and indeed offered a $150 (!) "upgrade" to a USB 3.0/SATA 3.0 motherboard, indicating that the baseline motherboard is indeed some H61 mATX pile of crappy chinese capacitors.

    • Some comments:

.1. I was going off the post on Ozbargain, not their website.

The gigabyte mobo that he quotes in the post receives some good reviews, it doesn't have all the bells and whistles.

From my point of view, it has the a capability to do xfire or SLI, Z68, USB3 and SATA3. At this price (retails for ~155) it comes with no real tweakablity; but not everyone needs it.

.2. Good question. Personally, I'd keep the extra 4GB RAM.

.3. I sent the OP an email asking about the model of the PSU; but forgot to ask about the graphics card brand.
Suspect it to be something like a Powercolour or Sapphire.

      • Please let us know what the model is when the seller replies. Thankyou.

  • HD6950 or GTX 560 ?

    • Definitely 6950. The 6950 is comparable to the GTX 560 Ti, which is better than the GTX 560.

    1. According to the reviews, it generally scales better at higher resolutions (i.e. > 1920) than the 560.

    Tomshardware.com has a nifty comparison engine…

  • Could anyone else find an ABN on the site?

    • +2

      No, but according to …

      http://whois.ausregistry.net.au/whois/whois_local.jsp?

      ABN = 45 703 424 952

      • +1

According to which Massa Technology isn't a registered trading name….same thing I commented on previously on here! Not sure about you but I wouldn't be buying off someone who is illegally trading under an unregistered name.

        • +3

lol for the idiots negging the comment why not post up with a reason and prove me wrong that he isn't trading illegally ;)

        • same here, ABN provided here is Individual/Sole Trader, No registered for GST. any one has experience with him?

        • +1

Individual/Sore Trader is just one of the business type, pretty common for single founder small business who is starting out, and it does not stop the business from hiring/sub-contracting out tasks.

No need to register for GST if annual turn over is less than $75,000. It does sound a bit fishy for low-margin computer hardware business (as turn-over would be large to be profitable). However it's between him, his accountant and ATO.

  • I am looking for a new desktop too. Can anyone tell me if this is a better deal than this

    http://www.centrecom.com.au/catalog/sergeant-intel-core-2600…

    Thanks :-)

    • Depends on the vcard.
Surely they wouldnt put a 6770 or something like that in the build.
I think the price is good for either machine.

    • The sergeant runs a 5450 1ghz card, worth about $35. Also running a shitty ol h61 mobo. This is a much better deal. ;)

  • Great, i'm looking for a new desktop. I'm still using my old Pentium 4 desktop =O I'm VERY tempted to get this computer. I may have time this week to purchase it, but does anybody know when this offer will end?

    • I would say when sold out..

36 +ve's and 450 clicks…. so nobody quite knows stock status atm.

  • good price, you cant build cheaper by yourself!

  • +2

I worry about the mother board, I think they will give us the least expensive version.
1155 Socket Motherboard *brands can differ due to stock availability.
Brands used: Gigabyte, ASUS or EVGA.

  • OP got a few questions
    unknown case brand?
12gb ram!? is it available with different ram, say 8gb Gskill ripjaw X?
this seems like a good deal if its available with different ram and if you can solve that "brands can differ due to stock availability" for the motherboard part.

  • +3

    This deal smells.

  • Has anyone ever ordered from these guys before?
I just shot them an email asking about the motherboard. I would be keen on getting this if they can confirm it'll be the Gigabyte mobo.

    • +1

let us know the result. If its confirmed to be this gigabyte board (or even an equivalent from ASUS, ASRock or MSI) then it seals the deal. if it could end up with a $50 H61 board, then you are better off buying your own componentry and building a system for about the same price (with H61 board) or a bit more (with a better board like an ASRock Z68-Extreme3).

      • +1

Don't think I'll get a response before the stock runs out.

        Current Stock:
        5

        • +1

          Sold out now.

  • -1

Give us a Bulldozer build, that cpu is awesome, especially in gaming and power usage!

    • +3

You mean the 2500K is awesome right?

      • 2500K freaking owns.

  • +2

bulldozer fails, it cant even keep up with the 2500k, read the reviews!

  • Did not get a reply to my email
    Asked about the Motherboard.
I was sceptical if they would supply this mobo
Guess if anyone bought one they can tell us
    wait and see

    • Doesn't matter. It's sold out now. Funny how the rep posted this at 3am and did not bother coming back to respond to questions. Hope to see a new deal soon though.

  • Definitely worth it!

Just took a look at parts, and these are basically riding on cost prices.

However I wouldn't use any of those parts if building a new computer now. (Except the 2500k)

  • NO ABN, NO TRADING PHONE NUMBER, NO TRADING ADDRESS
    invoice? warranty?
    What do you think guys

  • No OP response to any questions means a neg from me, doesn't seem that reliable at all.
I mean if pre-sale is bad, imagine how support would look like!
