This is the cheapest brand of flour I know we used to order from the supplier. Costs about $10-$11 for the same bag.

Costco has the same size bags for $11.50 and its good quality. Anything that weighs this much is gonna cost from a shipping perspective…

    • and its good quality.

How do you know it's 'good' quality?

      • Cause I like to bake and use a sack a month of it. Its "Gem Of The West" brand.

        • thanks

        • When I order alot of rolls from my baker he usually puts it in a Manildra group/ gem of the West paper sack. It's good stuff.

We get this exact product Caterers Choice 12.5kg from bidfood.com.au at regular price of $19.65 including GST delivered to NSW South Coast, which gives you a mark-up of $12.29 delivered from halalpantry.com.au, which more or less equates to the postage cost. However note that halalpantry.com.au has free shipping over $100 if you need additional items from them which could be a pretty good deal. Ebay's aussieshop sells this for $33 delivered. Ozbargain tip: the best way to buy bulk food or ingredients is if you know someone with a cafe or restaurant who will add products for you to their orders from catering suppliers. As a guide wholesale seafood, meat etc can be 50% or more cheaper than retail store prices including delivery. Also a lot of supermarket items can be ordered in bulk this way, particularly refrigerated or frozen goods that come in cartons and are broken down to be sold from shelves or fridges/freezers, good for teaming up with others on bulk quantity discounts.

Update: items now 19% cheaper with code, probably no discount on postage.
