Never thought I'd be posting an eneloop deal… But here we are.
Just got an email from Costco showing $10 off the charger/battery pack for a total of $39.98. Not as good as the $34.99 a couple months back but the best deal I could find for now. Was in the ACT store over the weekend and they had plenty of these in stock.
The earlier ones I bought from Costco were made in China
Seems the new ones now are made in Japan

Bougth from Costco a while back, the unit was made in China, on full charge, the batteries last probably one tenth as long as standard alkaline batteries, not worth it.
Where can i buy the latest version?
I’m at docklands Costco - the ones they have hold charge up to 10 years, batteries made in japan and charger made in China
EDIT: they have both 5 year and 10 year ones. I saw more 10 then I did 5
This is wrong information.
The batteries manufactured since 2014 are all the latest model. There is a difference in labelling (5 years and 10 years), but it’s only a matter of labelling depending on the regulations of the countries they are sold.
Don’t worry. They are all the same latest model made in Japan.
I read this as Pandemic Eneloops. Seems appropriate.

I bought this set when they were on special last time, can anyone who has them advise how long it usually takes them to charge 4 x AAA?

better buy bunnings varta brand, 30 units cost $10 and last long. 10 alkaline costs same as one rechargeable. for light users, there is no economic benefit to buy this recheageable.

FYI. This is the older version, the 2015 updated one can hold charge up to 10 years, whereas this one is up to 5 years
