  • Great price. I paid about $80 6 months ago for mine. Good replacement for my G5.

  • Thanks dude, been waiting for this sale to come around.

Good price. Bought mine for $49, but was very dissapointed with the quality (not logitechshop's fault)

    Wouldn't recommend this mouse.

I've had mine for 8 months and it has developed a clicking issue with the left mouse button. The mechanism isn't as smooth as the right and makes a weird sound when clicked.

Mouse is currently being review by Logitech on a warranty claim.

    • Mmm, I don't have one of these myself but I've been advised from a friend that does that this is a pretty average mouse.

Better options would probably be the MX518 which was and still is today considered an exceptionally good gaming mouse, or maybe the G400 which I think is meant to be the MX518's successor. The reviews I've read comparing them seem to say that the G400 is nothing special, though it's at least not a step backwards from the MX518. Both of these are cheaper from LGS as linked.

Hopefully this helps some people :)

EDIT: One thing to note though that I just found out is the G400 & MX518's are both optical, rather than the newer laser tech in the G500. My mouse is laser and I do appreciate how it works on most any surface, though if you had a good surface I'm guessing it wouldn't make a difference?

Awesome. I have been looking for a new gaming mouse. Thanks mate!

  • How is this mouse in comparison to the Sidewinder X5?

    • I've got a Sidewinder X5. I'd stick with it over the G500. But the G700 is an entirely different story…

  • Well the mousewheel on my current G500 broke, but with the G500 being this cheap I'm just going to buy another…

Great mouse, I would recommend it to anyone with large hands. I paid $49 for it a couple months back and at time that was a great price so at $42 it is even better.

  • I have a G5 but all the reviews say the G500 is worse… but still… worth a gamble at $42 and 2yr warranty???

    Aww it's ended :(
