Well, if this code is 'unique' then you & are pretty unique together! :)

I received the same code in my email just a minute ago. Here's a link to the screenshot if you want to download and use it.

You are unique. Just like everybody else.

just bought a Switch yesterday.. thank goodness this doesn't apply :)

  • Generic code, mines the same.

    Anything worth buying?

i must be stuck inside too long - I thought it was 50% and got excited!

Don't forget Suncorp Rewards for further 5% again. Just paid $269.85 for Osmo action camera

    • Is Suncorp instant?

    • Man I completely forgot I was a Suncorp customer when I bought a fridge from JB last week. FML

  • Can this be combined with gift cards?

    • +3

      Yes

  • +2

What about after you negotiate a price? Unless salesman takes off at least 5% off sticker price, he doesnt get my business anyway.

    • +3

You should be able to…just get your best price, they'll give you the docket and then go use the coupon at the cashier when you go pay for your stuff.

      • Yes I've done this before. Even with a price match. Don't tell them about the 5% discount. They don't need to know. Haggle as much as you can. Only the cashier needs to see it and if the item is eligible you're good.

Yep. Can confirm. Done this for a BES870, RRP $700, got it price-matched to low $500s then swooped in with the 5% coupon at check-out for high $400s. Was happy

    • Yes, I can confirm I did this today in store. Also, paid with 'ultimate' gift cards.

Anyone know if placing an order for a currently out of stock item counts as a pre-order? Might be a stupid question but I thought it might be different from a game pre order for example.
Will call in the morning to confirm anyway 😊

    • More like back-order than pre-order.

  • Can I get the 5% different back if I bought something a couple days ago and pick it up today?

    • If the product you bought is not excluded from the 5% discount offer, then you can always ask them when you pick up the product. Technically, you should be able to return the product and re-purchase the exact item with your discount.

      • thanks, it isn't excluded from the 5% discount offer but I already picked it up yesterday (10/7).

    • -2

Why on earth would you be able to do that? Common sense really?

    • +2

I did something similar when I bought some Sony headphones. A few days later they were selling them for $50 less. Asked them if they could do anything and ended up with a $50 gift voucher.

      • This technically wouldn’t be the same thing. They lowered the price of the same product in your case. In this case they are providing a 5% off discount voucher/code for all (with exclusions) products. I’d understand in your case why they do that but in this case I doubt it l they would budge. Billsky would most likely have to return the product and repurchase it with the discount coupon.

just buy again, return new with old receipt.

    • I just did a store transfer a moment ago and used the 5% coupon. As long as item is not one of the exclusion categories it is fine

  • If you negotiate a price usually is more than 5% off

However this would be good for anything that they can not drop prices like games (if included
    In offer)

    Saved $0.95! cheers OP!

  • $2370.25 for this LG OLED:
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/lg-bx-essential-series-55…

Looks like a good price! I had already ordered for my parents a couple of days ago… wish I had waited.

    • The 65" BX is already $500 off, so with this coupon, it comes down to $3,320.25.
      Also not a bad deal.

Just bought Vornado VMH300 from JB HI FI - Greensborough / VIC after match price against DJ, then added 5% discount further - $236.65

    DJ - $249.00

My whole house was freezing last night and this morning after the qualified gasfitter cut my both gas heaters electrical cables. Both gas heaters declared unsafe due to high level of carbon dioxide poisoning.

    • +1

How did you manage to get a further 5% after price match?

      • +1

1 - match price requested to one of JB HI Fi team members
2 - received a printed slip from JB HI FI team member after vertification and approval
3 - took a product with me and the printed slip to cashier and showed my 5% discount voucher on my mobile phone
4 - paid and said " have a lovely day"
5 - (optional) checked rear if they are chasing me, all i have to do is RUN!!

        • Great! :) Sad that the code will be already expired tomorrow. Need to wait for another one.

  • Not sure if I am just daft, but for some reason any time I add an item I cannot click "Proceed to payment", it is just grayed out?

    • Delivery or "Click or Collect" method?

  • Thanks OP, picked up something only available for delivery so no negotiation.

    Offer while stocks last

I doubt a 5% off coupon will sell out their entire instore inventory nationwide and online
