  • Any info on company. Never heard of them

    • Search previous s5 max deals and you'll see a number of past deals from taco or toby deals, with comments about seller.

I've just bought one from the deal about 3-4 days ago, going by other people's comments it's usual around the 2week Mark. So I'm not panicing yet.

      • Did your go with DPEX? My tracking says it's still in HK.

        • I'm in the same boat

        • using my tracking as a reference, probably get it tomorrow and the next day.

mine dated 16th of July and I received it today, and I am in WA which generally takes longer.

          • @danz84: Still hasn't moved.

            • @raybies: Just checked the tracking mine arrived in Port Mel today after being dispatched on the 16th but ordered the 30th of last month

              • @DoesntEvenMatter: Finally arrived… I think it actually got to Aus on the 22nd but Toll just sat on it.

                Toll tracking number…

                22 Jul 2020 06:17 AM

                There was just 1 item.

                • @raybies: Bahaha mine arrived on Monday from a 17th dispatch. Yeh only 1 item with mine too. A box within a box. Have it connected to my smart plug to control charging times just so I can control over charging but from looking at the power input stats I think it does it on its own. I'm very happy with it

                  • @DoesntEvenMatter: There maybe an API you can interface w/ Hass.io/OpenHab/Hubitat so that it disconnects when it reaches a charge level? Also w/ my S4 and S5 if it's disconnected from power for a couple hours it turns off, but turns on again with power reconnect.

                    Just checked: https://community.home-assistant.io/t/xiaomi-vacuum-details-…
                    {{ states.vacuum.xiaomi_vacuum_cleaner.attributes.battery_level }}

Mine's already done a clean WITHOUT getting stuck, like my S4.

                    • @raybies: All ready have all of that setup too. It's not needed it's has its own power management it seems

      • I purchased this from Toby Deals a few days ago as well (slightly cheaper) to replace my original Roborock that has served me well, they've sent a tracking number and it's shipped from Hong Kong already, very quick.

        • -1

          How much did you pay?

  • any negatives over buying the one from roborock aus? still have all the same functions etc?

  • +1

Any info on whats the warranty on these through the seller.

    • +2

Return to Hong Kong at your expense but you have zero ACL so count warranty at Zero with a significant saving compared to roborock Australia anyway

      • Use pay pal to pay so if you have to send it back, at least some are covered by Paypal.

  • +1

difference on warranty is almost $300, i want to buy one just cant decide. Price on Toby's deal is tempting, but dont want to end up with a paperweight if it stops working

    • I'm in the same dilemma, it's around 150% of the cost for warranty and to support a local business. I've been bitten bad by all overseas warranty so it's something I'm really unsure about risking. When I compare it to a the aus model is still cheap, but the aus model only has a warranty for a year anyway.

  • What spares have you guys bought from aliexpress?

I got some dust and water filters, extra mop pads, and a few assorted brushes.

I couldn't find the castor wheel alone, so if anyone fines somewhere I can buy just the castors please let me know.

      https://a.aliexpress.com/_dTkvlgr

      • Is that the same wheel for an s5 max

  • +1

Anyone know if this model has multiple floor options? We have a step in the middle of the house… so needs 2x maps.

    • +2

Yes this one has that option

  • Edit - comment deleted

  • How wet is the mopping function ? Need for laminate flooring and wondering if it would damage it .

    • You can choose the level of water used between low/med/high so I'd say it should be suitable.

      • Perfect. Thanks

  • +1

@Admin - can you please update the deal

There is a better coupon bringing the price down to $571

    Please use the code "CART3"

  • Mine just arrived today, bought it a week ago from teco buy for 617. Suprisingly quick as i am located in wa.

    • Tracking upto date and correct or deylaed?

      • +1

The tracking does not give you much information, it gets updated sporadically.

however the tracking can be summarized as below:

        Collection: 15 July 2020 - Hongkong

In transit to destination: 16 July 2020 - Hongkong

        Arrived Hub:20 July 2020 - Perth- Australia

It takes 4 days including weekend

        • Yeh seems like it. I didnt even get the last update till 2 days later on all trackers. Apparently coming with toll

Linehaul to destination depot: overnight16 Jul 2020 07:06 PM

        • Wow, you’re lucky.

          I am still awaiting mine.

Can you please share your review if initial vac and mop use?

  • Best to go local. TobyDeals isn't that great of a company. After purchase support is non-existent.

  • +1

    I know I'm going to regret this…

Toby Deals gave me the run-around last time with this product, however they DID happily issue a refund after they still couldn't dispatch the order after a whole month. I was pretty down on them after that, but I'm desperate to get this model at a good price, and now I know that they're happy to issue a refund if anything else happens with the order (or at the very least, Paypal will as a last resort).

  • Hesitant due to some comments about TodyDeals, but I Ordered with insured shipping, will update when I receive product.

    • purchase with paypal

      • I did, still no tracking but I did get the 'picked' email.

        • +2

Got mine today. This thing is better then expected. Mapping out the house still, it's upto 90m2 with still half the house to go 78min in

    • Ordered on 22nd July. received it today

      Shipped by DPEX - Toll

      • That's quicker then a local purchase lol

        • yeah exactly..

  • Bought one. Actually a really cheap price. Fingers crossed this works well and gets delivered.
    Cheers OP

  • I'm also tempted like many others in this thread… leaning towards going local for the warranty directly through Roborock but am just hoping for a price drop.

    • $200-300 is a huge difference. way i saw it, you get 6 months warranty (kinda) with paypal so just did that with buyer protection. You're only losing 6 months i think, doubt its two years

  • Just bit the bullet … wish me luck!

  • +1

Just got mine delivered today from a purchase about 2 weeks ago.

    • Please share with this your review of the first few uses of vac and mop use

  • Purchased one in 25-Jul and received an email in 27-Jul stating picked up and left warehouse. No tracking number is shared yet.

  • Mine arrived today. Yay.

  • Saw the black clour, but EU version. Except plug, anyone knows the difference? Thanks

    • +1

pretty sure it's just colour difference

      • +1

No the EU is actually packaged for Europe shipped to Switzerland or Amsterdam I think it was and come out English. The local market ones are factory Chinese out of the box. Hardware wise there all the same except for the plug which is a basic iec-7

        • Thanks, so the EU one should be fine to be used here then? Voltage wise should be alright too? Thanks very much

  • Ordered on 20 July 2020, arrived today 2 Aug 2020 with standard shipping - DHL, very good deal, thanks OP

  • "We are sorry, but the page you are looking for cannot be found."

No results when I search for that…

    • It's a couple of weeks old. Tobydeals usually has a time limit on it.

But this is a regular deal they run from time to time.

    • +1

There is a new deal even cheaper now: https://www.tobydealsau.com/en_AU/product/rliua0ycpsc1jourgs… . The price is AUD$551.93 after applied CART3 code. But it is strange it could be not found by site search. I found it by Google search. Anyway I booked one and the order is packing now.

  • Did everyone get their orders?

  • Did anyone who ordered receive theirs without ever getting a tracking number?
