    Good little device :)

Awesome for furniture and also great for those inspecting properties, getting ready to commit to 20 years of debt!

    • +8

Count yourself lucky if it's 20 years and not 30 years ;)

      • From all the money we're spending saving through Ozbargains, surely we can pay it off 10 years earlier :)

        • I've spent way more money since discovering ozb…

    • Nice that it's rechargeable too, instead of single use.

Does anyone know how to change the measurements back to metres?
Great little device till I somehow changed it to inches

    • +15

From OFF state to get to the settings menu:
Hold the button down, and keep it pressed even after it's turned on.

Once you see boot and CAL 0, you're in the settings mode
Hold the button down for 2 seconds and it'll jump to the next setting
When you tap the button quickly, it will cycle through the options.

So specifically from inches to metres, this is the sequence:

      From OFF State
[HOLD] button (total about 5 seconds) until power on, and keep it pressed until you see boot, and CAL 0, [Release button]

[HOLD] button for 1-2 seconds, you will seeCAL 0 disappear, and instead you are greeted with in
[TAP] button once or twice until you see the in change to m

Then [HOLD] button for 1-2 seconds to confirm and move on to next menu

      [HOLD] button until power off

      Hope this helps

      • Way to get to settings is the same, Manual is for LS-P is not the LS-1 or LS-1S.

The LS-P has Pythagorean measurement! Wow!

      • Nice it worked thanks

    • manual for LS-1 here: http://myosuploads3.banggood.com/products/20190828/201908280… - page 10 onwards to change units

Ordered it but I regret it instantly when I saw the LS-1S, continuous measurements and a bigger battery!

    • What's the LS1S?

      • Ah.. appears to have two versions

Looks like the one I have is an ATuMan LS-1S

        • Do you know what the difference is?

          • +2

@JLCC: Nevermind, found it on the webpage:

Compared to ATuMan LS-1, ATuMan LS-1S Optimizes these:
            1. Battery capacity increased to 220 mAh
            2. Single measurement to continuous measurement function

            • @JLCC: 25m vs 40m with LS-P, although there are a lot of discussion saying they should have more buttons rather than different methods to press the only button.

            • @JLCC: Just received mine today. It's labelled LS-1 but it has the continuous measuring function when long pressing while its in measuring mode, so maybe its a LS-1S?

"Note: First batch of body models temporarily still printed with "LS-1". If you received it, please don't worry, it has been upgraded actually."

              https://www.banggood.com/XIAOMI-ATuMan-LS-1S-Intelligent-Dig…

              • @OP: Nice! I haven't yet to receive mine. Hopefully end up with the upgraded model like yours. Score!

              • @OP: Mine just arrived. Looks like it's the upgraded model like yours. It has the continuous measure function which is nice. Pretty happy!

u dont like the bigger better? lol

    • +3

But wait, there's more. Behold the LS-P for AU$23.24 plus shipping costs. It looks like it goes ls-p > ls-1s > ls-1.

      https://www.banggood.com/XIAOMI-DUKA-LS-P-Intelligent-Digita…

The link above will mention the differences (See the Q&A section at the bottom).

  • Stacked up with Allowance = $13.65. I'm happy😎

  • Cheers OP, always wanted one of these and cheapest at Bunnings is around $30.

  • +1

Applied the coupon and it went back to 28 dollars what the..

    • Yeah best price I'm getting is $15.67

      • Change your currency to USD and also pay in USD, let your card do the conversion.

      • +3

Pay in US$ and remove insurance.

    • same here. I am getting $17.43 without coupon code

      • OK now it's working but it's 15.67

        Bought it thx OP

  • How accurate are these?

    • +3

I checked this against tape measure over about 2.3m and was within 1mm so pretty accurate. Great little device as it works well and is very portable.

      • Awesome, sounds useful. Will get :)

    • Very! "Wide measuring range 40M with a high accuracy up to ±2mm".
Anything measuring with a laser is.
Holding the device steady will be the bigger challenge.

      • agree with this.

      • -1

"Wide measuring range 40M with a high accuracy up to ±2mm"

Accuracy is a range here, not an inequality.

It seems AU stock is now out, only CN stock with shipping AU$5.75

  • OOS

  • Yes No more Australian stock

  • Does it change via micro or type c?

  • Anything wrong with the Chinese stock?

    • +1

Will take a month to arrive plus postage fees $5.50

  • Do rangefinders work in bright sunlight? or are they strictly indoors only.

    • Has LCD backlight.

I'd imagine at some angles, the sunlight will reflect from the screen and make it difficult to read.

      • Not just the screen, I have had an ozito (Bunnings) range finder, and I couldn't see the laser point on the outdoor walls when it's bright. And every attempt to measure came with Error.

    LS-1S ~$20 delivered from CN

    LS-P ~$32 delivered from CN

I'm getting the LS-P as I will use the additional functions.

    Thanks for sharing.

    • LS-1S is it still available for Aud $20?

  • where did OP find the code from? Always curious on how people find these codes.

    • I believe it's under "My Coupons" within your Banggood Account.

    • Banggood publish coupons in several places. Under your account, in their in-house affiliate network, in their third party affiliate networks and a Google Doc. A lot of people crawl those and pull coupons out.

      • Interesting! I am assuming you are a part of the Banggood's affiliate network or have access to the docs. Is this something anyone can do, I mean can anyone join the affiliate network and get access to the docs?

        • Yep anyone can join.

  • Dumb question, But, What do these do? Really intriguing price, if there was stock, But I wanna know

  • +1

    @Clear
please ask for more AU stock.

    • yeah I am keen on getting one too but missed out. :(

      • Hm showing $16 for me and in stock..

        • really? still appears out of stock to me. Are you sure you are getting the au stock and not the one from China? There should be an option to choose the warehouse it is shipped from on the product page.

          • @polarq: Ah yep my bad it's China. Oh well will stick to the ol tape measure :)

  • Just curious how do most people use these?

    • Mine arrived just after lunch today so I have been going around measuring everything like a red dot laser Ozbargain sniper

  • ^^^ Measuring room size, ceiling heights, gutter height, spans, etc…

Eg: When calculating how many L's of paint or carpet/other floor covering (m2) you need for a job.

    • Or social distancing capacity when trying to work out how many square meters a room is

  • Anyone got theirs shipped? I received an email saying it's out of stock and the shipping is delayed.

    • Yep, received yesterday
