Anyone know what resolutions it supports outside of 4K30 and 1080p60. What frequency will it do at 1440p?

        • But on a serious note this is alright I guess because of the reviews, But the port selection on this stands out, ports for days and has all the necessary ports you would need, just curious to see the new one, Please do post on ozbargain as soon as it hits the market. Might use the new on for extra reasons and use my Anker as the main one.

      • +2

Hi op, what are the USB-C ports themselves, are they 3.0, 3.1/2, Gen1 or 2?

    • 3.0, up to 5Gbps data trans

      • +1

What I can see they are just USB 2.0 cable, 480 MBPS data transfer. Please confirm.

        https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B0859FFGF5/ref=ox_sc_ac…

        • Yep, 【C cable】 is USB 2.0. 480MBPS data transfer. 40mb/s -60mb/s.

@auselect: And the USB-c that connects to the laptop is same?

The hub's USB is 3.0 port up to 5gbps data transfer
The cable is 2.0 speed up to 480mbps date transfer

              • +1

@auselect: The cable that is part of the hub. I am guessing that’s a 3.0 as well?

                • @Buy2Much: The free C cable is a 2.0 for phone, supports fast charge.
The hub's usb port is 3.0

Hi, when will you offer USB-C hub with 2 x HDMI out?
    Thanks

    • The one in the comment just above doesn't have dual hdmi but it does have hdmi and VGA, I presume you can use both at the same time? Maybe OP can confirm?

      • +1

The preference is 2 x HDMI rather than HDMI/VGA.

This hub has 2 x HDMI but the reviews aren't great.
        https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B088RFVR6X/

      • +1

I believe if both HDMI and VGA are in use, it will be mirror display instead of extending mode for this price.

        • +1

Does this depend on the OS platform? Extended displays seems to commonly work with Windows but not with Apple.

          • @igerstep: MST Only use for windows

          • +1

@igerstep: The one you post seem too good to be true. Normal price Dual 4k hub is >$100.

            • @SnoozeAndLose: Our hub support dual 4k will have a better price for early bird next week.

    • Yep.

The function name MST ( Multi-Stream Transport) with dual hdmi output

It will sell in 1 week.

      • +1

Thanks, do you have any specifications on this new hub?

    "8 in 1 hub = $36.99 (10% OFF with 8 in 1 hub,The original price is $39.99)"
    That's not 10% off!

    • -2

      Nearly…My fault… 9.75%…

      • You might want to start selling calculators!

        39.99/36.99-1=8.1%

      • its actually 7.5% not 9.75% nor 10%

  • I have this - only problem is (and I'm not sure if its an issue with other USB C hubs) is that I'm using it with a Xiaomi dual USB C charger that charges my laptop via PD at 65W when its the only device and 45W when a second USB C device is plugged in. Plugging in the second device causes the monitor that I'm running off the hub to turn off then back on but since I'm running a dual setup, this makes Windows reset all my desktop and open windows until the monitor powers back on.

I can't find any reports on how it goes as a Switch Dock replacement. …

    • Charge port & HDMI port can support switch charge & display

      • +1

  • Does this support samsung dex?

    • I have tested just now.
      It works.

The last option, the 7-in-1 hub, looks like a pretty good deal to me… $29.99, with free shipping for orders over $39.

I've got an Oppo Reno Z I'd like to try an external USB mic with for Zoom, & I've been looking for something like this, although I'd be grateful to be able to charge my phone at the same time, for longer meetings. Does anyone know if PD will work with this hub & my phone?

I did a little research a few months back, but couldn't find an definitive answer on if that's possible, & if so, what hub device/specs I needed to make it happen…

    • +1

This hub is intended to provide PD from the cable built-in to it. Oppo don't use PD, so any USB will provide standard (not fast) charging to your Reno.

Regarding adding a USB mic to the phone via a hub, I'm not sure how well Android phones work with hubs - I would normally only connect directly. YMMV

    • Oppo has its own charging policy so the hub can't work for ur phone charging.
But the phone USB C is USB 3.1 may support external microphone.

      • Yeah, from what I've read the mic should work OK - I was just hoping it'd charge too. Some of my meetings are pretty epic. LOL
