Yep it says it in the OP - 06/08/20.

Thanks AD, Tracked in 2 minutes 😀

  • "Cashback is eligible on new services only (ie. new mobile number)"

Will this count porting in using a number I've had with catch in the past?

    • +4

Your number will be a "new number" if you have been with another provider for the last 30+ days. I have ported in, out and in again to Catch several times.

I got the Catch Connect for free through Cashrewards in June. Ported to Kogan for the $1 deal and now can port back to Catch Connect agin. Thanks OP.

  • I thought there was a comment recently about cashback being limited to 1 per month?

  • " A single Catch Connect account can have multiple services, and each service is eligible for cashback"

So I can buy 4 x $5.00 Catch Connect 15GB 30-Day SIM and get 4 x $1.50 back in one Cash Rewards account? Do I have the correct understanding?

    • +1

This is correct, i have been doing this for ages for the past years.

    • +3

      No that's wrong… You'd actually get 4 x $3.50 cashback on the one account

      • +1

        You're damn right!!!! LOL

  • Not knocking the deal. Have bought also. Just wanted to get people's opinions whether they find the catch network very very slow (sometimes unusable) especially from late afternoon onwards. I'm comparing to the $4.90 40GB Kogan deal (still on) which I generally find has a better service from late afternoon onwards (I'm in Melb Metro West). During day is fine for both networks.

Kogan uses Vodafone network while Catch uses Optus. I am in Sydney and have been using Catch for ages, and feel like Catch is faster and stabler.

      • Yeah I'm thinking area or maybe resellers get second rate network or something.

      • +2

I agree with this. I've tried both Catch and Kogan (which Im on currently) and found Catch to be more stable/reliable and faster.

    • Can't say for sure but I was with Catch for a month in between Telstra and I found the same issues.
Wasn't a problem with the network per se because my wife is with Optus.
I'm guessing they throttle the MVNO traffic.

    • I sim swap often and find that catch connect is only beaten by first tier telstra when traveling up and down the north coast of NSW.
It comes down to where you are and the phone you use imo.

Similar to you, I find Kogan much more reliable than catch. I’m based in the melb south eastern burbs

When will Catch bring back their $4.90 (40g data) starter pack? I am using Kogan and in my area there are a bit of congestion in the afternoon for data.

    • Same! Can't wait for it to make a return..

It's 50mb/s and over with Catch Connect and with Kogan I barely reach 10mb/s in my area.

  • Automatic recharges at $20 unless you opt out. Auto-recharge can be turned off in your dashboard after activation.

anyone had previous problems with them over billing not stopping auto-recharge?

    • No, I turn off auto recharge and it works every time.

    • Nope

    • Never … set it as no recharge and it stays set.

  • 10c per GB well spent, thanks. hopefully 40gb next time.

    Cheers got one, can't beat 1.50 !

  • "Cashback is eligible on new services only (ie. new mobile number). A single Catch Connect account can have multiple services, and each service is eligible for cashback."
So this means I can buy 4 Sim card from my catch connect account and still be eligible for cashback. Do I understand this well ?
Also, can I use same cashrewards account to buy two or three Sim each from multiple Catch connect accounts ?

  • It's gone up to $10 per month and no cashback. Yikes

I guess they are bleeding cash.

  • Still waiting on Cashrewards to approve the $4.90 cashback, has already past its due date.

    • Same, waiting also
