Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse - Black $39 @ The Good Guys

180

Was looking for an ergo mouse to work from home, stumbled across this one, currently selling $59 at OW and $49 on amazon. Chances are OW is going to price match it

  • I hope it feels good in the hand, because it has to be one of the ugliest things I've ever seen…

not the first time i've heard that one :'(

        that's what she said?

    • It is great. i have 1 and it's one of my favorites. I only stopped using it after i switched to Mx Master at home during Covid 19.

      • How’s the range for the sensor on this Microsoft one? My MX Master 2S broke, thumb button got stuck and long story….

  • Good ergonomic mouse that's not as extreme as other ergo mice, not bad price either.

I got one in a set with the keyboard but to be honest, I much prefer using my Logitech MX Master 2 instead

    Really comfortable for office use.
However worth noting one of the downside is, the usb receiver not interchangeable, and it may break.

    • yep. I have one in my desk thats unuable because the USB dongle is missing

      • Paperweight?

  • it is clearance item. will OW price match?

    • Yes they will. It is not due to administration/liquidation.

EDIT: This is not available for delivery and is not available locally to me, so for me Officeworks probably won't honour this deal.

  • Good mouse - can recommend.

    Not bluetooth sadly.

Bluetooth would be awful for a mouse, input lag through the roof, weaker connection and the terrible pairing process.

      • I use my MX3 BT, I can't pick the lag. Wouldn't use it for gaming, but fine for desktop stuff in my experience.

Not suitable for left handed people.

  • Absolute unit of a mouse

Used this for 5 years and has kept my rsi on check, highly recommended, i use mx master 2 now but have added putty on top of mx master to model this mouse

  • Was on my list until I learnt about MX masters. Now just need a deal.

    • This is Sculpt Comfort. The deal is for Sculpt Ergonomic

  • I use this mouse both at home and at work and and really like using it for general use but can't comment on how appropriate it is for intense gaming for example.

After a while, I noticed that the button on the side (just under the Windows button, where your thumb goes) starts to fail. This does not appear as a separate physical button but as a bulge in the rubber that clicks when you press it. In both cases the button ended up permanently in the "in" state. As I don't use the button, I didn't worry about it until I noticed that this appears to cause the battery to drain quite quickly.

Repairing the button does not appear to be possible despite trying. However I resolved the battery problem by cutting the internal wires to that switch. Not a problem for me as I don't use that button but something to be aware of. I am not the only one to experience this.

This is a great price for the mouse and I would consider buying again.
