Not a lot of RAM and no SSD but could work well for basic tasks or as a cheap pfSense box when paired with used dual or quad NIC.

      • Pretty severely in the old version

      Wait for SSD

It would need a dedicated graphics card, a lot more RAM and a SSD.

      Microsoft Flight Simulator recommended specs
      CPU: Ryzen 5 1500X / Intel i5-8400
GPU: Radeon RX 590 / Nvidia GTX 970
      VRAM: 4GB
      RAM: 16GB
      HDD: 150GB
      Bandwidth: 20 Mbps

      Microsoft Flight Simulator ideal specs
      CPU: Ryzen 7 Pro 2700X / Intel i7-9800X
GPU: Radeon VII / Nvidia RTX 2080
      VRAM: 8GB
      RAM: 32GB
      HDD: 150GB (SSD recommended)
      Bandwidth: 50 Mbps

From what they shown us, it seems that it'll need a pretty beefy rig. I'll suggest to wait till the game comes out and see how well 1050ti builds run on it before making any decision.

Really would not recommend it. Even after upgrading everything (ssd, more ram and dedicated graphics card that won't exceed the PSU max load), you'll get minimal frames on it. And minimal frames on a flying game will be very unpleasant (I used to do aviation in school and our school computers would only get like 22-29fps in Flight Simulator X and it was almost unbearable).

Poor deal imo. I7 3770 and 256gb ssd was available for around $200 delivered around a year ago.

Most PC-related deals compared to Pre-COVID looks bad at this point in time.. just got to suck it up if you don't have a time machine

    • @morgs640: you noted the word "Was" in your comment. If the word was "is" then fair enough this would have been a poor deal.

It's impressive that a PC with these specs can be found for this price… I can see a family who is trying to save on costs buying a few of these for school, work, media and managing to get a decently powerful i5. Only real issue is the 4GB ram, but for $167 I really can't complain - What a deal!!

The CPU in this PC is apparently only 25% slower than a new i5 10th gen…

Intel's 3rd and 4th gen i5 and i7 CPUs are still very capable compared to modern iterations. Ideal for budget gaming rigs. Literally for the cost of a brand new CPU, you could get a very usable, complete system.

    • Single core performance. Not for resource intensive tasks that require multiple cores.

  • There are very capable machines and at a great price too. I was using an i7 8th gen laptop as a media PC with my projector. I sold that for $800 and then bought a machine very similar to this for $210 including postage.

    Specs are:
    i5-4590
    8GB (Single stick DDR3)
    1TB WD black HDD
Decent Thermaltake case with a 420W PSU

I had a spare GT730 and SSD so I put those in there and its working very well as a media PC. I can play 50GB bluray files with no issues, surf the net and stream. Very good value. Its an amazing deal!

    • Where was that deal?

      • No idea, I was just searching on eBay and found it and bought it. Don't think its available anymore, it was down to the last 2, over 50 sold already.

      • I have a bucket load of HP800 SFFG1 i5 WITH 8GB, Win10pro AND I chuck a Crucial MX500 256GB SSDs in them. I usually sell those for around $250. There are plenty of options out there and only noting the ones I have as a price guide and not trying to sell here. They are excellent corp PCs and no idea why companies dump them, they could just add an SSD and 4GB (8GB total) and all is well for another few years for your avg user.

  • It would be good to have hdmi output as I plan to connect it to a big TV.
Is there a way to do that without HDMI output?

    • A cheap Displayport to HDMI adapter does the trick usually

    • Alternatively, just get a cheap GT 710 GPU with HDMI like this one instead

    Restocked for a few units

    • All gone.. too quick! :(

  • Back in stock but $209 now.

  • Can anyone comment on how much better the i7 version is? Worth it for $50?

    • What do you intend to use it for?

      • Was looking at popping in one of these low profile graphics card for a small (next to the tv) gaming PC.

        • yeah depending on the games it may very well be worth it. Usually similar i7 PCs are about $100 dearer compared to i5 ones so not a bad price I'd say.

Same if not better as has 8GB RAM included. No idea whether the HDD is Sata or SSD but suspect SATA. I would buy this over the dell as it has more ram and cheaper. The specs otherwise are the same for the most part. Chuck a 256GB SSD (min) into it and it will do a fine job as day to day PC (not gaming).
And one can easily grab a Display port to HDMI cable (or Adaptor) for $10 or so off Ebay (if HDMI is required). Same as what One can do with the Dell. Grab a couple if you want to run dual monitors assuming your Monitors have HDMI inputs).

Received mine today. First Time using windows 10, so much bloat. Turned off all the fancy animations and it works fine, plan to change to ssd, should speed it up.
It does however smell when you turn it on. I don't know, maybe it's the smell from the cleaner they used.
    Really nice build quality.
No idea why they have so many USB ports.

    • I highly recommend changing to ssd, I used the below help to transfer sata to ssd.

Also you need additional power splitter or use another computers power supply to power two hard drives at once.
