I have tried Crispy Bacon and Meat Pie - both quite tasty.

  • I saw it at my local Coles (Wattle Grove) but they only had crispy bacon and it was already sold out.

I've tried crispy bacon and sunday roast. the bacon was "ok" and the roast tasted like "poopoo"(to put it politely).

    • that's not good news!

    • avoid the sunday roast, and the bacon is no flash in the pan, can get the same flavour with cheese and bacon balls.

      • My sunday roast tasted like it had NO FLAVOUR! at all.. it was like plain chips! =(

          consider yourself lucky then

    • +1

        • that's nasty poo poo hahaha

        • Really? Did you have to share that?

    • Heh..I oddly enjoyed Roast alot..I'm thinking I may be the only one..lol

        You must be homosexual!

(if you didn't watch that video then u don't get the joke. this is not an anti-homosexual joke)

  • I can't speak for the other flavours, but I wouldn't give the Sunday roast flavour to the dog. Dreadful.

As they fry these in Palm Oil - it's prolly Roast Orangutan flavour

    • poor orangutan

  • as mentioned, avoid Sunday Roast, I found it so bad I put it in the bin.

    The others are ok.

sounds great as a practical joke to play on people? saves you having to make poo flavoured chips, seal the bag and print the label? All for only $1 too!

I will wait for the Director's Cut Special Edition, to be release before Xmas. 8-))

Anyone know if Costco would be selling the box set?

  • I saw it at my local Coles (Fairfield, NSW)on Wednesday, they were packing the stock. They had all flavor on Wednesday.

  • +1

The bacon is definitely nom-able. Avaliable in Darwin city coles too.

  • They're clearing them out right across the Coles stores, at least in Victoria.

Only tried two so far, but the Bacon is nice however the Sunday Roast is beyond terrible.

    • +3

haha i am actually looking forward to trying the sunday roast because of how bad everyone is saying it is :)

      • +5

I agree. I'm now disappointed I could not find Sunday Poo chips in my search.

  • I actually didn't mind the flavouring in any of them..but then I don't usually notice the flavour of what I eat anyway :\

…also this is available at Coles Pacific Fair too and I bought the last bacon ;)

  • Coburg Coles has sold out of all flavours if you look in the chips aisle but there are still a few pizza and meat pie packets in the end of aisles, mixed in with the '2 for $4' promo for the other flavours.

    • same at Coles Reservoir - but with, peculiarly, only Sunday Roast left.

I did steal a last couple of crispy bacon the other day

I'm not sure I'm OzBargainy enough to actually call my local Coles to get them to check stock levels of chips :)

    • hahaha!

    My local had limited edition
vegemite flavoured potato chips last time I was there but I couldn't bring myself to buy them. Has anyone else tried them?

    • OMG go down there right now and buy yourself 10 packets. they are great.

    • +1

The vegemite chips are bloody awesome.

      Get yourself a packet.

    • More like beer-dregs-in-a-chip…Not really v-mite flavoured.

    available in barracks brisbane.

all flavours. heaps of them including the uber limited release of septic feral pigs anus breath.

  • I gotta check this out at Coles sometime. Hopefully the Hills District Coles will have them.

I think I'm the only person who didn't mind the Sunday Roast version. I wasn't rushing back to buy them again but it wasn't the vom some people are making it to be.

  • Went down to Coles Flemington (Showgrounds) about 3 hours ago and they had plenty of boxes of the Sunday Roast, Bacon and Meat Pie flavours, no more Pizzas.

Checked Moonee Ponds a while after, they barely had any left besides a few Sunday Roasts and Bacon.

I personally don't mind the Sunday Roast, doesn't seem as bad as everyone elses makes it to be.

    Sunday Roast is AMAZING!!
I bought one pack, left it on the floor outside the kitchen and after a day, all the rats and insects have either died or left the house!

    • Remind me to get some for halloween!

  • DO WANT ALL OF THEM!!!
Damn my Body Building diet consisting of only kangaroo; 5 times a day.

    • Hang on…

      Are you eating ONLY kangaroo?

      • There's a kangaroo flavour?

        • You've obviously never been into bodybuilding.

        • +1

Don't body builders drink egg whites for breakfast, lunch and tea, and fart constantly?

        • +1

@sparkles - No, you're thinking of the Royal family. ;-)

        • Or Britney.

      • edit: wrong spot

  • i want

  • The only one I haven't tried yet is Crispy Bacon but I've never been a fan of bacon flavoured savory snacks.

  • Unfortunately my local Coles (Winston Hills) only had the Sunday Roast flavour (and they had LOTS AND LOTS) so I took the advice of OB and didn't buy any even for only $1.

I tried a few stores today, and managed to find only one bacon, one meat pie, and a few Sunday roast. Checking out the back produced another carton of the roast. Smiths obviously put these out to gauge interest from consumers. I'm not upset I didn't get to try pizza as it seems to be popular enough for them to introduce it as a regular flavour. Sunday roast wasn't as bad as everyone makes out, I think they made a mistake naming it though. It reminds me more of a half a chicken and chips meal from the corner chicken shop - chicken (pretty tasteless on its own) smothered in chicken salt, and potato chips (the french-fry type) smothered in more chicken salt. I find that whenever they introduce these limited editions, they are pretty inconsistent between batches. It is hit and miss between packets of the same flavour as to whether you get no flavouring, to an overdose which makes it almost inedible. I especially noticed it with their last attempt - caesar salad.

      • You're lucky if yours tasted like chicken salt, mine tasted like stale, dried, then reconstituted, then dried again and powdered up crappy floor vegetables that had been stood on or something.

  • at my local store it was $5+ sigh

Sunday Roast could not be stomached on a Sunday.

I spent most of the afternoon with the family down at South Melbourne Beach. The sun was out, people were dressed to impress, and I sat on my towel and opened my first ever bag of Sunday Roast chips. I made it through about 10 of them and realised that I think this was the first potato chip (crisp) that I have ever NOT enjoyed.

    Sunday Roast = fail

  • +3

This Sunday Roast is becoming more popular due to the astounding negative feedback. Novelty stores would be falling over themselves to get the recipe.

    • +1

So true. I grabbed a packet of the Sunday Roast to try: I couldn't believe any Smiths potato chips could be as bad as all the press they're getting here.

I've got to say - they tasted exactly like roast beef to me. Not my favourite flavour by a long shot - but I didn't think they were bad at all.

My local (Forest Lake, Qld) had plenty of Sunday Roast and Meat Pie only, when I checked yesterday.

  • +1

The meat pie flavour is decent if you can find it in my opinion.

  • +1

I REFUSE to eat poo poo !!!! that has ogangutan blood in it

  • Same here, tried the Sunday Roast and didn't think it was as bad as described here, although it isn't the most flavourful chips you can have. Went to my local Coles yesterday and picked up a crispy bacon- they were out of Sunday Roast (surprise, surprise!), no more pizza left either!

  • I tried Sunday Roast yesterday. VOMIT
    What a waste of $1 !

    • lol that bad? :o

  • Didn't mind meat pie -a little like burger rings/toobs combo…Quite edible.
