  • You have to tell us what is the gift that u wanna give to us

  • how is that a free gift, sounds like a trade in. and trading stuff is not a bargain by a long shot.

    unless the gift is significant.

  • Hmm, I have an old working Nokia 1650…torn between trading it and keeping it as a spare.

    • +1

keep the spare,, we should always have 1 spare at home

  • +2

    SE w200i —> $3 fail
not great offer, keep ur phone as spare
or help them make huge profit from it

    • +1

Can't figure out how these guys make money. Is there a market for old second hand phones less than $5?

      • +1

I think it might be the chinese wanting phones that don't fry the crap out of their brain and the 'western' labels get so much more respect over there. Ironically, from my research Australia is one of the cheapest places to buy a phone.

    • if they are legit, they are prepared to pay me money and for a phone that I don't think I can sell for more (and it's just collecting dust) … try to make sure the phone is wiped for sensitive details and then sell it to them and use the pocket change for lunch or something

(I take it the Freepost comment meant they pay for us to post it to them … hopefully registered)

    • hmmmmm,

edit - oh wow, didn't know a # makes everything big and bold/

    • actually we have been sending the "Free LOVE Digital photo frame." to everyone, regardless of the value of the phone, Yes even the phones that have no value..
we have now updated the terms, thanks for the update

  • Surprise games dont work here! tell us the gift or dont worry about it. I dont mind my old phones occupying a corner in my garage.

    • +1

The free gift is the digital photo frame.

  • +1

No offense or anything, but I think some of the prices offered for some working devices are purely an insult to the owner.

    • +1

i am sorry is we are insulting you, but we do not make a high margin, old phones are worth what we can get in developing countries, and the problem is that new phones are very very cheap these days,, so what is a old old phone worth?, compared to a brand new hawuai selling for $10 at shell express

  • prices offered are crap, the prize is even crapper - not a bargain

  • unbelievable, how many posts like this today :(

  • My old Nokia is only worth $5. And its still a decent working phone. Just not worth the effort. May as well keep it.

    • You know it's bad when it's not worth an ozbargainer's effort.

  • So they give you $5 but dont you have to send them the phone? I think that postage would cost more than you get for the phone

    • we offer sending the phone is free freight, and yes $5 is low, . please make sure it does not end in landfill one day,

    • cashaphone pays for the freight "FreePost"

  • Hmm I've got a broken phone they'll give me $14 for and maybe they'll give me a couple dollars for an ancient working phone …

    -> Cashaphone
Why do you want the IMEI?

    • +1

IMEI is needed, because the government second hand dealers act. says we need to know what and who sent us the phone.. sorry, i know too many government laws .
the only exception is if you donate or recycle for free you do not need IMEI
if the phone is broken just put 15 x1(111111111111111) in the IMEI box
