Verbatim 32GB Class 10 SDHC - $42.49 Shipped from OzGameShop

471

Ozgameshop has just exploded their product range and now stock approximately 3 billion different items - one of which is this Verbatim 32GB Class 10 SDHC card. I don't actually know a lot about SD cards or where to buy them, I'm posting this as it stuck out to me as a potentially good deal. There are "Class 10" 32GB SDHC cards on eBay for around the $38 mark - but they look somewhat dodgy.

Mod: Back in stock as of 9.50 p.m. 24/10/2011 AEDST.

I am in the same boat…am after a 32GB Class 10 SDHC card…can anyone confirm if this is decent, or if there is a better deal?

I say good price for verbatim and delivered: http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=32gb+class+10&s…

Next cheapest verbatim on that list is $49+, not including delivery.

Personally I prefer sandisk and kingston, though that is probably more good marketing at work than anything else :)

        Cheers ccrap ; )

  • Clunky website, all flash memory lumped in together and search is awful. Not that I could do better mind you.

I think "now stock approximately 3 billion different items" was the OPs tongue in cheek poke at that very fact :)

  • R/W speeds should be mandatory on any post regarding SD cards. "Classes" are way too ambiguous.

    • I'm sorry, dude but I have no idea of read/write speeds. As I stated in the description: I don't know much about SD cards. I was posting this as it appears, on the face of it, to be a good deal. If you want to post up the speeds I won't stop you.

speeds for 16gb version, 32gb will be similar: http://www.digitalversus.com/verbatim-sdhc-16-gb-class-10-p3…

    • The Class number represents the minimum sequential write speed.
Eg. Class 10 cards should operate at no slower than 10MB/s.

Which is fine for almost all cameras and HD video recorders.
But I do see your point in wanting to know exactly how fast it is.

  • 10 mb read and 10mb write. how does this stack up?

    • does your equipment need more than 10mb read and 10mb write. if not, it's a good thing

here's some reading on speed rating. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#Speed_Class_Rati…

the deal seems good for the price as I'd prefer not to buy off Ebay when it comes to stuff like this.

      • If it does need more than 10MB/sec R/W - too bad. You won't be finding microSD cards any faster. Most are Class 6 (6MB/sec) or slower.

Though it is a minimum rating, and even class 6 cards could be faster than 10MB/sec, especially for reading.

    3 billion items??!!

I want proof. Start listing them all here now. and dont double up. I'll be checking! :)

Good deals by the way. ( i just had to say that so my preordered kinect sports 2 game doesn't get delayed :)

3 Billion items? I've told you a million times not to exaggerate! :)

  • Depends on what the application is. If you're going to use this on a DSLR, chances are your 720/1080 recording at 30fps would randomly cut out due to the camera not being able to empty out the buffer onto the card fast enough. It would also increase the "recharge" times when taking continuous burst shots.

Wow. ozgameshop has turned into the new Zavvi.

  • No stock :(

Not a good deal as you can get Class 10 ones on eBay for approx $38.

Did you read the post? "There are "Class 10" 32GB SDHC cards on eBay for around the $38 mark - but they look somewhat dodgy."

      Is that a joke?

  • i purchased a micro sd card class 10 on ebay but its no good for HD video recording on a DSLR camera. what transfer speed do i need to buy? is it least 20mbps+ or 32mbps

  • Looks like it's on "PreOrder" so it's probably out of stock again… any one confirm?

Just got an email saying they are unable to despatch until 9th November, but they said I can cancel for a full refund, but either way, they will give me a $5 voucher…I like : )

received mine today. 14 days later. It's a grey import from the UK. Very misleading!

    • You are kidding right? Ozgameshop is a UK BASED COMPANY. How odd that they would have UK stock!
