What a regret buying this garbage.
Bought and returned within a week, total garbage product with a price that's totally ludicrous.

    Overpriced piece of garbage
Bought this phone and returned it 2 weeks later. This is the worst phone call have ever had to use. After 2 weeks dust got under the screen and made bumps under the screen. The specs in the phone are awful and the camera is absolutely garbage. Do not waste your money on this piece of garbage

    Screen delaminated after three weeks
Pre-ordered this phone, waited forever to finally get it. Loved everything about it until the screen delaminated at the hinge after three weeks. Five weeks later Motorola are yet to fix it.

    Hmm reviews seem positive lol

  • Could buy 5 of these with ya super payout!

Every manufacturer seems to be making phones over $1k these days.

    I am waiting for a $1,000 Nokia.

    • Pixel 4a $600

      • Pixel 4 XL >$1000
I'd certainly hope (upper) mid range phones aren't costing over $1000.

Apologies, but is that a joke/sarcastic comment?

If yes: Man, Nokia have made a bit of a comeback in the Android space. I'm using one right now, and it feels pretty damn solid in the hand, and it's survived at least a year now of pretty abusive treatment from me with nothing more than some minor paint scratches. And, since they use Google's generic android OS, it's bloatware free and has steady, long update longevity.

I unironically would consider buying a $1,000 Nokia.

  • Can I ask why esim is bad if you want to port elsewhere? I thought that was the main benefit of esim?

    • Esim only available on post paid/plans. Not available on prepaid. Makes sim swapping tricky. Plus only available on voda/Telstra/Optus post paid.

      • Ohhh didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up.

    • not sure if Optus provides esim for prepaid?

      • -1

Nope, they don’t currently. No one does on prepaid.

        • i heard telstra does it on request. YMMV

          • @hopper: I’ve only managed to get my post paid on esim. Yes, YMMV.

            • @imnotarobot: looks like they are working to make online activation of e-Sim (under FAQ'a)

              • @hopper: But not for prepaid. Trust me, I tried last week at every telco.

        • Vodafone does, however to have to request a switch from a physical sim to an eSIM. https://www.vodafone.com.au/support/device/esim

"If you’re already with Vodafone on a postpaid or prepaid plan, you’ll need to swap your current SIM through our SIM swap process and follow the steps below with your eSIM enabled phone"

    Snapdragon 710 for $1800…no.

A smartphone that doesn't have major moving parts is more robust. Let's make the screen fold.

Two screens increase the risk of screen failure. Lets put two screens.

A rectangular block allows a phone to have a choice of protective implements, ie case. Lets give it some movable joints.

A camera that sits flush has a lower chance of scratches and impact damage. Lets place a camera bulge.

The flip design blocks physical buttons from being depressed. Yeah, we can remove those buttons and keep that flip.

Job done, "Complexity, Simplified" (yeah, that's actually from the horse's mouth.)

Lol some fanboi downvoted you. Enjoy your terrible phone whoever that was

    • Not an android user but I think this is a very sexy phone in terms of looks.

      • +1

Yes. It looks like those crazy concept cars that looks great but probably has a crapload of design issues. At least those car makers acknowledge the designs as aesthetic concepts.

This phone… it is like that car with no wheel arch clearance, cockpit only for a legless contortionist and doors that open inward… except they actually made it.

So yeah, I think it looks cool too. Too bad I actually need a phone for its function.

(Here is a shaver deal to match this phone.)

        • +1

I’m just happy it’s available to consumers for purchase. Doesn’t suit everyone, but I personally think it’s the best looking mobile phone on market

    • Couldn't agree more

  • -4

Who could be bothered swapping sims every month lol, what a joke.

    • +1

Well, I prefer paying less than $15 per month for min of 30GB data with Volte and vo-wifi options from major carriers. I mean it's subjective to be contract free.

      • -2

No one is on a contract anymore if you didn’t know, too much time on hand I would say.

        • +1

Have u heard of time management? plz tell me a deal which offers good data and advanced features on prepaid :)

  • Why the frick does everyone think they're good enough to make $1500-2000 phones these days? The world has gone crazy.

Motorola was long since a value brand, not top tier. So this is super crazy
