    awesome.

but what's the point of going to amsterdam now?

    • +1

so you can get to the other European countries?

      :)

    • Talk about killing the golden goose

      • No one will want to go to Amsterdam now.. that sucks :(. One of the biggest attractions being taken away, not many tourists will visit now

  • for flights from Sydney

  • Amsterdam is a cool city whether drugs are legal or not.

I admit I enjoyed it when I was there, but I'd still go back to enjoy the sites, people, architecture etc. Plus it's so close to so many things.

Also im not too sure about this airline, a few bad reports from a quick google search.

  • is there anywhere in Europe that isn't freezing during late January?

    • Southern Spain, Southern Italy, Greece, etc.

    • Espana? Silicy? Anywhere in Greece?

I'm not saying it's warm, but it would be thin jacket weather most of the time (15 - 20 degrees) and is more than bearable in my opinion.

You could fly Easyjet straight to Barcelona in January for under 30 EUR (about AU$40).

Garuda are great. They guarantee at least one fatal air accident every 5 years or your money back.

    http://www.airdisaster.com/cgi-bin/airline_detail.cgi?airlin…

Looks like their last major accident was in 2007…. so should be due for a big one soon! Get on board this bargain of death!!!

    • yeah I noticed that when I searched them up.. along with bad service and reports of old planes, it doesnt instill much confidence. Probably why its cheap…

      • good the less people fly with them the better. i can enjoy my flight with less rude people and also, they will keep this sale coming. Come on.. please dont fly with them… pleasee

back a few years ago, it was banned by EU, then they have improve a lot and EU lifted the banned for Garuda, fly twice last year to Bali and Jakarta, all using a new airplane. so it is up to u guys.

  • I am actually genuinely scared of flying Garuda… heard too many stories about their near misses near Perth Airport…

guys, please be fair when you make comment, not just make up story or heard from someone where there is no support for that story, u don't want like today tonight that make up the story about refugee right? (i am the one that so stupid to believe that story before)

Once you've flown Air Lanka, Air India and Tiger, Garuda just doesn't seem that bad anymore.

    • i can't comment on air lanka and air india, coz i never fly with them. but you can't compare garuda full service airlines with tiger low cost airlines. i flown with tiger once last year, just basic, acceptable for me, no delay on my flight last year. have u been flying with garuda? and when is the last time u fly with them?

"Because I guarantee, the more you travel through foreign countries, the better it gets, and the more you come to appreciate the differences rather than be freaked out by them.
(Yeah yeah, I've been accused of being a whinger who should just stay at home too. I try to travel with the mindset that "it's not wrong, it's different", but that may not always come across.)
