      No idea how long it will last this time the extension in question that they're giving away is owned and operated by the same company that owns Porkbun.

      And yes it's easy to cancel them just turn off auto renewal and don't renew it in a years time when prompted.

      Remember ICANN policy does mean they do need to send you notifications about the domain name expiring so expect a couple of emails.

    porkbun normally don't limit transfer, but you will need to pay the full fee (US$34.94) if you transfer

    Porkbun is a very reputable domain name registrar after the ICANN 60 day lockout period has ended there will be no restrictions on transferring just take your EPP Code and your domain name to the transfer form at your other registrar.

    Can I get this then transfer it to my registrar?

    You'll need to pay their annual cost of registration or transfer to do this though and it will add an additional year to your existing time.
