    OP you should add this to post, its in the email;

"Due to level 4 restrictions this offer is unavaliable in Metro Melbourne"

    • +4

      Done.

  • Not available to Melbourne metro.

    • Missed that JB HiFi $199 note 20 ultra 5g because of lockdown.

      • Which one? Do you have a link? Don’t think there has been any such deal on Ultra 5G.

  • +4

8GB RAM with 60Hz display in these days is a ripoff by Samsung. Even Note 20 Ultra 4G model with 8GB RAM is being sold in almost $2k. And of course Exynos chipset is icing on the cake. Wait couple of months and see how prices will drop for Note 20 series. The real launch price should be the one offered by Samsung to various EPP stores i.e. Education Store etc.

      Not to mention Plastic!!

It's a rort that Australians (and some other countries) get the inferior Exynos chipsets.

      • Actually I read that Samsung would prefer to use that chipset world wide, but have restrictions/licensing agreements, in doing so in some countries.

        • I thought it was the other way around - they have to use SD for USA otherwise they would have used Exynos worldwide.

    • I would argue the launch price should be the 50% price they offer to the telco employee over the years for that exynos crap.

      • Are they still doing that - 50% to Telco employees for Note20?

        • +1

Not for note 20s, went down to 35% off now.

  • 89 bucks per month?

    • +3

Yes. I miss the $65 plans.

  • +5

if someone really needs note , note 20 ultra is the way to go. Note 20 is inferior in all aspects.

    • +1

If someone really have to buy, ONLY Note 20 Ultra 5G is the one to be purchased, as it is 5G and has 12GB RAM. But its price should be what Samsung is offering on its various EPP stores.

    Full T &C

    • Thank You. Added to the post.

    • I went looking for that, but came up empty, how did you find it?

  • +3

And the biggest downside to this phone is the exynos chip, every review you watch online is for a phone with the snapdragon chip, we get stuffed with the crappy exynos version so we lose out on picture quality, battery life and performance.

    • +1

Buyers have alternatives if they don't like the Ex. to find the latest and greatest. The competitors are getting better. However at the end of the day does it really matter. Battery life would still be good and if you have a 45w option charging is quick. 120hz and the massive almost edge to edge screen.

Like Apple Fanboys. Samsung ppl just love the UI and ecosystem. Samsung are trying to create that same integrated system with the Tab, watch, phones, etc. I have the Note 10+ only from this year, so not a $1500-$1800 price tag from release last year. Dex is the biggest thing for me. Now with the new Note 20 it's wireless connection to a screen. The S pen is an added feature great to have when you need it.

If your chasing the best every year the upgrade features are gerting smaller and smaller between the next models. The Note range has probably hit its threshold for new features. By the way I hate the massive cam bump of the new Note.

This chip is the same used in s20s in Australia, which was already behind in performance, battery from snapdragon 865, and note 20 snapdragon version uses 865+ which is improvement over 865. So this exynos chip is already very behind. I always bought new samsung flagship every year, but now I will just stick with the old one as I believe you pay more but get less. Not worth it.

  • Get the ultra!!!!

    • Not Ultra, but Ultra 5G to have 12GB RAM which you need on Samsung phones to remain faster over a year or two. Example is Note 10 Plus, which remains fast even after a year because of 12GB RAM. Samsung UI and phones are RAM hungry.

  • If you get a note 20 then you really dont know much difference.

Note 20 ultra vs note 20 there is huge cut offs for ~$280

Plastic body, no memory card slot,
60hz refresh rate and many more things

  • Pass. Wait for s21 hopefully we will be the ones laughing next year with Exynos plus AMD teams up

  • Another similar to the other offer using same plan as the JBHifi S20 Galaxy offer, $199.

Please do your research before you cancel or other full payment.

    Make this S20 Note $499 + $594= $1093.

PSA: this the Note 20 not Ultra.

It's plastic and cheap and never worth the retail price.

  • Has anyone used website etoren?

  • Anybody able to find Note 10s anywhere? seems impossible to find these days with the Note20 out I would think these phones would be readily available to buy now. Looking for the missus and cant justify the Note20 price tag and the inferior quality.
