We currently plan on decommissioning the Covid server at the end of September, but until then you can have unlimited access to that server on our network. The Covid server was launched a few months ago to help out those who may have been financially impacted by Covid-19 but still want to have unlimited Usenet access. The server has unlimited usage for anyone with a valid block account at NGD and speeds are unlimited depending on how many people are on the server. If the server is in heavy use, it will be slower.

  Amazing price! Just checked my history with NGD and back in 2016 I bought a 250GB block for USD$25! Haven't used up that block yet though but this is a nice addition.

    Dang I didn't notice the $18 for a year. I swapped to Newshosting ($20 a year) from Ninja ($40 a year, both Highwinds) for my unlimited.

    There's definitely holes in the Highwinds that this server is picking up, but I wonder if it goes the other way around — if I could have just got this unlimited. Either way this is a deal!

  Is this better than LimeWire? Jokes aside, I've been wanting to try Usenet for a while now but get overwhelmed with the providers and backbones etc. Whats the best way to go to for Sonarr, Radarr, Sickbeard etc? I've got a Synology DS918+ too which i'd probably run a Docker container on.

  These guys are great. I originally purchased a 1 TB block as a backup account to Ninja. When covid hit, all data on covid.newsgroupdirect.com was/is free.
