      Strange how that DS store price matched. Cause I thought they didnt price match online stores and prepaid phones - since the price is set by Woolies/Optus…well from what I remember what my cousin said, who worked at Tandys.

        To chu518 and JLove, I must have timed it right as the link was there last week when I called DS. JLove, not sure where your cousin is getting the info from as I have asked and got my local DS store to price match on several items over the past 12-18 months including a wireless ADSL modem/router, portable hard drive and now this mobile.

        I called my local DS store first and they were happy to price match the phone but weren't getting delivery until later this week, so I took the chance and called their 1300 sales number. The guy I spoke with was great, and was very helpful.

        The phone's link has disappeared and re-appeared from the Optus website at least three times in the space of a week so just keep looking and if/when it does come back then jump on the phone to DS. You have nothing to lose.

    Just got an email saying that my delivery is on board with driver. Ordered on the 4th. Hopefully everyone's order is on the way too!!

      not my case, i got the email saying it is onboard with the driver and then later in the day the tracking shows my order has INCORRECT ADDRESS.

      This is insane,and rang optus to check and they say my delivery address only has street number but no level number and company.
      I told them the optus website does not allow me to put in a company name and also I have definitely fill in the level number. I have the screenshot of my order confirmation which has my correct address there. The operator told me that my address on his screen does not have a complete address, so he has to update it and get it delivery again.

      I just getting really annoyed with Optus, the first time ever I join Optus and this is what I get. My contact with voda is going to end in this month and i thought it is a perfect time to get rid of vodafail and now it seems Optus is not anything better too. At least I had a very smooth online purchase transaction with Voda last time.

        Hi calviny,

        Did you get this sorted? I have had exactly the same experience where i specified a floor when I put in the address but somehow the floor number has been dropped off along the way. It's currently showing as INCORRECT ADDRESS on the Aus post website. I have phoned Optus on Monday and they said that they'd correct it but it might take a few days but so far have heard nothing…

          Hi,

          nothing has been resolved. calling them is not useful and you have to wait for 20 mins every time.

          email them they dont reply until a few days later. logged complain also no response.

          they only told me that they will arrange redeliver, first said on wed, and when i called again they say maybe Thr, Fri, Mon, or sometimes next week. This is exactly what they said to me, can you believe it.

    I ordered mine on 3 Nov and they rang me on Friday 11th to say there would be approximately a 3 week delay in delivery. However, it arrived lunchtime today (Monday) - they hadn't even emailed or text me to say it was on it's way, so that was a bonus surprise!

        Nope, phone is brand new. I was expecting to find the 16GB card separately and having to insert it into the phone myself but it comes pre-installed.

    ordered since the 2nd, their twitter team called me saying they would help me.
    But then i get a call saying the guy who's supposed to call me is sick and will call me the next day.
    Next day, no calls.
    Today spent almost 45 mins on the phone being transfered from optus departments to other optus departments. then managed to get someone (still from wrong department) to help me and not transfer me.

    They said for some reasons my order was not moved to the next level or something , so they are trying to fix it now. They should call me again today if its fixed and tell me when my order is coming.

    WOAH! i guess i was unlucky….

    anyway waiting for my phone.

    Walked in to a Target, they had 10% off on all mobiles till 23rd Nov. Got the phone for 269.00 :)) No waiting no calling.

    So anyone waiting to get this deal walk into a Target and get it.

        You are right it is not listed, I went to one store and it has the little flyers on the locked mobile cabinet. Next day I went to another store and they had about four handsets but did not have the discount flyers. The guy scanned it at 299, told him about the promotion, he said it expired last thursday, then I told him no it expires on the 23rd ring the city store to confirm as I had confirmed earlier. He looked at the long queue on the counter and just scanned it less 10%. So after all the 'he said' and 'I said' it finally worked. But as some others are confirming it is valid till 23rd Nov. Good Luck.

      Called a few target stores, all out of stock, finally found one at Merryland. It scanned at $299, I pointed out the small 10% off sticker inside the mobile cabinet, the sale person had to ring someone to confirm then sold it to me for $269.00 too :)

      i feel for you and i had the worst shopping experience which is with Optus.

      i think if you really want this phone, dse is your best choice. You can check which store has it in store online and i dont even need to ring the store to confirm.

      it is running out of stock at most of the dse stores, just try your luck and see if you can find one near where you are.
