    Thanks, bought another umbrella.

    Here we go again…

  • Brings it down to US$14.75, which charges as AU$21.49 in paypal.

    • +5

PayPal's exchange rate is always inflated. If you have a currency conversion fee free card in PayPal you can set it to use USD during payment and it'll be closer to the current exchange rate.

    • If you have American Express add it to your PayPal. In my experience, AmEx exchange rates are significantly better than the banks.

      • yes even MC/Visa rates are better than Pal

  • Thanks Clear. Always appreciated.

Very happy with this umbrella. It actually repels water and doesn't get soaked like the one it replaced.

  • I got the grey one!

Ehat about if this electric umbrella electrocutes you? Is that possible with rain? Or even explodes in your hand ?

    • +4

The exact same could be said about your phone. Infact phones have a tendency to have exploding batteries without contact with water ;) It's all sealed up in the handle anyway.

      • -5

Yeah true, just that this umbrella is cheap so has be be some compromises in quality. Imagine maybe you finish using your umbrella and it’s wet and water leaks into the battery ?

Smoke and firebombs everywhere or that too dramatic ?

        • Never mind . Looks like it’s watch batteries. Should be ok.

        • +5

It's part of the Xiaomi business model. Sell high quality products near the cost price ;)

          • +2

@Clear: Ive bought some Xiaomi stuff…
            White pens…scratchy with inconsistent flow
"Quite" USB fans….got noisy within a month
USB Lights….on/off button fell out of most of them
…doesnt come across as high quality to me ;P

            • +3

@PAEz: Agreed the pens were complete crap (scratchy with inconsistent flow), although most of the other stuff has been great.
Air purifier, Wiha screwdriver kit and the Mijia night light have all been excellent.

            • @PAEz: I was talking more their Mijia brand and electronics. There are a hundred brands in the Xiaomi ecosystem so some aren't always up to scratch.

            • @PAEz: Unfortunately, I don't buy 'white pens' and 'quite fans' from Xiaomi. I do buy their vaccums and purifiers and they work amazingly.

Haylou…. is it me you looking for…

    • You had me at Haylou.

  • Seems very popular by the ozbargain community. How is the quality? 1/10 being your $5 cheapie to your 10/10 $110 Blunt Metro?

    • +5

9/10. I would say the blunt edges it out with the minor details (rubber handle, canopy design, colour options). Otherwise quality is pretty much on par

      • +1

Thanks for the review buckleupbill. $20 you can't go wrong

    • +2

Mine's still going strong after 2 years.

      • Good to hear. Hate throwing away crappy umbrellas but too tight to spend $110 on an umbrella

  • +4

That time I pushed the release and my umbrella shot about 15 metres into the car park and everyone stared at me. Emberassing enough to never buy again

    • +1

I can see why the airports classify umbrellas as a dangerous carry on item

      • +1

        Funny (though they don't)

  • That good old Bluetooth Xiaomi umbrella is back 😂

  • +1

are they ok in windy/rain days? or will they flip and break?

    • I want to know too. Would Melbourne winds kill this umbrella immediately?

    • In Perth i haven't found any issues with umbrella flipping. Sometimes it felt like it was going to flip but it hasn't.

My gf's cheaper umbrella flipped in the same weather, so i assume it is at least better than the cheapo ones.

  • raining looks fun

Anyone remember when Woodworms were the OzB umbrella of choice?

Or am I showing my age lol

    • I remember that! Did you buy the pack of 3? I had so many of those umbrellas

      • Yep, I bought multiple packs of 3s over the years.

Gave most of them away but still have 2 left and still in good condition.

Wish they would come back though :)

  • Any feedbacks on the Haylou T15?

  • Umbrella 2.0? What a time to be alive!

  • Been looking for the $10 Bunnings brolley for like ages…..

    • They are usually at the entrance?

      • +1

The ones near me seems to always be out if stock … Although I am not a regular.

  • Mine came up as $21.20 AUD

    • +2

With 28 degrees it becomes AUD20.62, select the USD payment option and let 28 degrees do the conversion, not PayPal.

  • wow led umbrellas, I guess where almost ready to see the same ones from blade runner?

    • Gotta have RGB next. It'll be faster at opening and repelling water :)

  • +1

Hardly ever rains but here we are.

Which Snapdragon processor does this Xiaomi product have?

  • So, does it break in the wind?

  • First coupon has apparently reached its max usages and second coupon says it does not apply for that item.

Edit: First coupon currently works as of 10:18AWST

  • NNNDB90FUN Error: This coupon code has ultimately reached the limitation usage times.

  • Darn it, missed out but at least I managed to get one the last time it was posted.

  • +1

Can you extend the coupon code for the umbrella?

  • -1

Who buys an umbrella anyway? You can get them for free at the coffee shop in those metal cans.

  • Does this thing use battery power to open the umbrella? For times when pushing a mechanical button is too hard?

  • -6

Yes this will support the CCP and their thought transformation camps whilst simultaneously stopping rain from your head for the low price of $20.62 lol

    • +1

      yawn ok, ok

  • dam came late to this offer, is this umbrella still worth it for $30?

  • Any new deals?
