It's not that hard, $9.95 for sydney metro. There's even a shipping calculator…

Any usb-c (potentially thunderbolt - any benefit from that?) external cases you could recommend for the P1/M.2?

    • Tagging myself for answer!

    • Bought an Orico one from Mwave (~$40) a couple weeks back + chucked a 970 Pro in.

Easy to open + one screw to mount to the board

You bought an expensive top tier NVMe SSD that according to its specs requires up to 28Gbps throughput and put it in an external closure with 10Gbps throughput? Why not just buy a cheaper NVMe SSD?

        • why do people buy Porsches to ferry the kids 😂. serious answer though, I personally use it both in the enclosure and on the motherboard

  • Daaayuum, The A2000 for the form factor or the MX500. Hard choices :L

    • +1

Both. One for boot and the other for games. Seriously good prices for the mx500s

Gamers Nexus reported SSD prices might drop further later in the year due to oversupply: https://youtu.be/fkXJ5fpjamQ?t=261

Thanks. I will not give in to temptation for now!

        • Oh daayum thanks I might hold off then and then buy both for the form factor hahaa

      • Hahaa I like that idea. The boot drive doesn't really matter right? They're near same performance in real world(?)

  • i remember paying $260 for the 1tb in 2018.. damn
great ssd, i use it for my Imac

    • I remember snagging a 1tb 840 back in 2013-4? For $350. Was the bees knees. Probably the best value component investment I've ever made.

  • What's the P5 like? $115 for 500gb 3400MB/s read 3000MB/s write.

  • SSD is getting cheaper. I got a 1 TB Samsung T5 for 309 AUD in 2018. 2 TB below the 300 mark is spectacular.

Also $10 off when you buy 2.

  • Trying to fit it to regular 3.5 rack in a desktop. I am searching a good and cheap 2.5 adeptor. Anyone has any suggestions?

    • +2

Just screw it in on one side only.

      • This. SSDs have no moving parts so the thought of it dropping in the case is downright inconceivable.

  • They also have the i9-9900K on sale for $649 for those on z370/390 motherboards… which is the equal cheapest its been (from what I can see).

  • I am looking at adding a 1TB to my HP zbook 15 G3. Would the P1 be compatible?

    https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-zbook-15-g3-mobile-w…

    • Should be fine, the features show capacities of up to 1tb and they're nvme, so is the P1. All that's left is for you to install it, and maybe windows if it happens to be the case.

      • Got the P1, fast delivery. Just installed. Nice and fast.

  • What is people's experiences with Shopping Express' warranty process? Do you for example have to pay for return postage for warranty claims?

Been waiting for the MX500 to drop to $140 or below for months. It pains me to hold off on this deal on account of the postage.

  • The MX500 (500GB) is $89 on Amazon, so this would be just a little cheaper when you include the delivery fee.

The 1 TB is OOS at 16.37 AEST
