3 mobile $100 join up bonus

90

OK, this may have been on here before, but though it was worth putting on, because I got $100 credit.

When a new customer calls up Three to buy a phone, just say you're a NRMA member, they will give you $100 credit on your first account! (I am an RAA member, but all aotomotive societies are just about the same, and why should NRMA members get it and not everyone else?)

  • I rang them and asked if they will accept RAA membership instead and they said no. Did they actually let you use the RAA membership when you joined?

  • why should NRMA members get it and not everyone else?

Maybe because NRMA members actually pay more?

    RAA membership (standard) — $70/year + $30 joining fee
    NRMA membership (classic) — $87.30/year + $55 joining fee

Being an NRMA member I feel so ripped of (but hey I get more benefits).

  • Will they ask you? What happens if they ask you for your membership number down the track and you can't supply it?

    • well, just "borrow" scotty's membership number :)

  • they didnt ask for a membership number, they were more interested in selling me a phone and then getting me to go on a larger cap plan…

  • Just a word of advice, this $100 promotion is only available through calling them up and if you've signed up via the web (like I did by accident) then no matter how much abuse you throw at them, you still won't get the $100 credit. Besides, the current $10 credit per month promotion might be a better deal depending on usage and how picky you are with phone choices.

    • Not only web, you can also call them to signup and telling them you are with NRMA for 100$ credit. This is on top of the current 10$ credit/per month, so both can be available.

  • no point now that this offer is here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/5619
