  • Whats the normal price?

$699 RRP as they jumble it all together as special deal. When it first came out a Bosch rep said over $1800 individually, and that is excluding free battery via redemption.

Hasn't this always been $699 since it came out 4 months ago? Even at Bunnings

    • +1

Yes. But sold out in a lot of places I thought. From original Rep post "Promotion ends 15/06/20 - However, stock is strictly limited so don't miss out!"
TBH I forget now but I think it was out of stock at TT when I bought at Bunnings recently. I'm sure I would have done Price Beat otherwise.

    • Yes same as Bunnings. I got mine about 4 weeks ago and they have plenty of stock.

Here's the redemption link https://www.boschbluecrew.com.au/LoadUp you can redeem a 5 amp battery, not 4 I believe

Also for those who don't need the angle grinder/ rotary hammer I found this to be a really good deal ($268) https://www.blackwoods.com.au/power-tools/cordless-power-too…

    • Not the same 4 piece combo that's redeemable I think. This one has the bulldog.

      • I am basing the free battery idea on the 'spend $499 on 18v skins'. Agree, I don't think any battery comes in relation to it being a combo kit.
Haven't sent my paperwork through to try it yet.

  • Have had mine since may. So happy with it, impact driver is excellent with the 1/2" wrench. Have picked up a few extras (circ saw & saber saw). Quality is top notch, perfect for my renovation projects.

    • Agreed. For the price it's a steal imo. Worth paying up for this than opting for a more budget brand if on the fence. 6yr warranty alone is fantastic.
Most people could sell the SDS drill and be happy with the other 3 imo.
Which Sabre Saw? That's next on my list.

      • +8

I wouldn't sell the SDS drill. You will regret it even once, when you have to drill into masonry. SDS bits just go through masonry like a hot knife through butter.

        • I wish I could do it more often…

Picked up the light duty ones: https://www.bosch-pt.com.au/au/en/products/gsa-18-v-li-c-060… . I've just been using it for jobs around the house and it has worked a treat, if I was using it more frequently I would have considered the heavier duty one.

SDS drill is one of the greats, never new I needed one until I had one. It's also a mini jackhammer with the chiseling function - has been really good for getting rid of stubborn rock.

  • With it was circular saw instead of the bulldog

  • What about spending $499 on skins? "Spend $499 - $798 on 18V Skins, Batteries & Chargers in one Transaction'

    • Yes, if you actually bought individual skins/batts/chargers it should be fine.
      https://www.boschbluecrew.com.au/LoadUp/Content/Docs/TermsAn…

But given that when you purchase this it shows up as 1 line item as a kit being: 0.615.990.L8N then no

      • Bugger. Ill still try though, doesn't specify 'select skins', just says spend $xxx on skins which is what this deal is. I don't see a anywhere it says combo kits don't count as skin purchases.

        • I dont work for Bosch promotions so I can't really comment but you really have nothing to lose if you attempt to claim anyway…. (except maybe for the time and effort to fill out the form)

          • @teh_gimp: Cheers. I think I have an arguable point with them. Won't spend more than 30mins on the whole process so if I win it's $300per hours work, if I lose its a lesson.

        • Already tried last promo. Doesn't work as they look at the receipt and it has to show item such as GDX, GWS etc of the skins. Also no point calling as their call centre closed due to covid and defer you to email.

          • @pegasusx: Bugger Bugger. Ok. Thanks for the heads up.

          • +1

@pegasusx: FYI - I got my free battery eventually. They initially rejected it, I pointed out the terms do not state anywhere that a combo kit doesn't count as 'Skins, batteries or chargers'.
They passed my issue up to Head Office and I eventually got a acceptance email of the promotion offer.

  • Only if I had the skill to use these sorts of tools LOL

    • +1

YouTube! Don't doubt yourself, a part spins and you use that to make another part do something you want. That's all it is.

      • Perhaps it's not that hard and certainly doesn't look that hard when I watch on Youtube but I'm too scared of breaking something or making things worse haha
