  • So much hand washing I stopped wearing mine šŸ˜”

    • Get one of the mesh bands and push it further up your arm. When I go to the loo I take it off and put it in my pocket, after I wash my hands I put it back on again.

      • I thought apple watches were water resistant?

        • Actually they are. I just donā€™t want to wear a ā€œcontaminatedā€ Watch.

    • I use a waterproof catalyst case

  • Too bad I've jumped to Android

    • Yes, it is a pity Apple refuses to play nicely with others. It could be made to work.
They made iPod and iPhone work with Linux and Windows, but they never had dominance in the desktop space.
The iphone even works well with the google ecosystem.
Samsung is a bit better, but still needs samsung fitness app., which does not like sharing data.

I prefer Android, but WearOS continues to disappoint. And Apple is ahead of Qualcomm in hardware.

Apple watches are crap in terms of Battery life. You have to charge it daily. Compared to that Samsung ones last 2-3 days easily on single charge. I am using my Galaxy Watch with iPhone and much happier. And 9f course cheaper too compared to Apple watches, and you can switch between iOS and Android anytime šŸ˜Š

I can get two days out of each charge for the Apple Watch. However, like all these things, it depends on what features you have turned on. Personally I prefer to charge nightly so the watch is always charged when I need it. Too many times Iā€™ve picked up my phone and itā€™s nearly flat.

Horses for courses. I like the realestate of the square screen.

Whichever you choose I do love the features of these smart watches. The Dick Tracey wrist phone is great. My phone barely makes it out of the bag, now.

Unfortunately Samsung have a history of not providing firmware updates past year #2. In terms of battery life I had the original tizen based watch was just as crap. I was gifted the original iwatch (pre gen1) and it still works, last updated with watchOS 4 years later. The Samsung? No one wants to know about it after 2 years. I needed to charge that Samsung every half a day while the iwatch lasts for a day still.

anecdotal I know, but If anything, I refuse to touch devices made by 3rd parties like Samsung and go straight to the likes of pixels or iPhones.

I donā€™t like sleeping with any watch on
