What? Both my local stores just went offline as I was placing my order.. Maybe they're getting too many orders and switched it off. Dodgy move, I've had this happen before at numerous places where shops just go offline on the day a promo is due to run.
My colleagues and I have all placed orders from different locations, maybe wait a moment as it happens to prevent refunds/long waits.
Not sure if it's deserving of a neg as it's a ripping bargain that many are taking advantage of and they're probably doing the right thing by not accepting orders when they're too busy.Fair enough, I know many others are having better luck but some of the comments here suggest a number of people are experiencing the same. My impression was that negs are to let people know about issues with the deal (e.g. being unobtainable within eligible areas after getting all the way to checkout), even if it's restricted to certain people while for others it's a ripper deal. It's nothing personal. I'm sure all those neggers wouldn't have been so quick to neg if this were a more widespread issue that affected them ;)

I got all the way to payment processing, and had put in a store and my address right at the start, then got “driver issue: drop off address not within service area”. Really frustrating - not sure why it didn’t say so at the start.
When I entered the address initially, there was a map with a highlighted circle showing I was within the delivery zone. Perhaps it's not obvious that you're not unless you zoom out at that stage
A little map comes up for me on mobile, but it’s super zoomed in and hitting — (zoom out) works for only about two clicks then stops. So I can’t see how close I am to the zone.
Same with me, I was in the grey area of the circle and had the same msg. It’s odd because I put in a random address that I knew would be too far from the store and it gave me an automatic response that I wasn’t eligible for delivery. So not sure why I didnt get the same msg while in the grey.
How do you check the service area? Work was out of the area but only told me after I popped in CC details not when I was choosing a store or typing my address or adding items.

Delivery didn't work for Northland, did pick up instead. Still decent price for a bowl of noodles. Could probably stretch 1 bowl to feed two people by adding your own noodles. Ozbargain style

Ordered at 5, just called door dash guy, he said there were around 50 drivers waiting at the shop, no solid ETA.
Half price dinner delivered 3 or 4 hours late isn't worth it.

@aw13: Not yet! Msged Roll'd online and they said they were getting absolutely smashed and brought some more staff members in so hopefully in the next half hour or so. Will keep you updated!

@brittneylaine: I got a text from DoorDash saying it was cancelled, tried calling Roll'd but went through to a full message bank. I eventually got through to them on their whatsapp account which you can access via the roll'd website on your mobile.
Roll'd was swamped. They have to manually refund my cc charge, as they took the money but DoorDash cancelled it.
So sounds like Roll'd in Victoria just wasn't ready for this 50% deal and got swamped.@SirFrugal: Looks like a high concentration of OzBargainers around Barkly. My rolls were due at 7:08pm and did eventually get here by 9pm. I'm saving them for lunch tomorrow, so I wasn't too upset - and it looks like I'm lucky to get them at all.. I successfully ordered about 1.5 hours ago for a 6:45 delivery, it just got cancelled as it 'couldn't be fulfilled'.
So waited 1.5 hours for dinner and it got cancelled.
Money has already been taken out of my account.

Unfortunately don’t know if this was even DoorDash’s fault, I spoke to DD support and they had to change the driver twice as one had to pickup their partner after waiting so long. It seems the restaurant was totally unprepared for this campaign and they’ve only just been able to close orders at my restaurant
Think you're right. I talked to Roll'd via their Whatsapp account and they said they were overwhelmed. Just didn't get prepared for the demand of the 50% off discount for Victoria.
i ordered from highpoint before 3 and got one msg saying itll be 1hr+ to prep. havent heard anything since and cant get in contact with the driver.
Ordered at 5:35pm from Barkly square, spoke to the DoorDash driver at 8:50pm and he was told 10 minutes by the store. Order was then cancelled at 9:05.
So bad. Order cancelled at 10:05. Preordered at 2pm for it to come from 6pm. No dinner for me tonight.

I just placed an order, the dasher picked up the wrong order.
Instead of trying to rectify the problem, the idiot tried to "deliver it" by showing up in his car around my workplace, without actually giving me the food. Called him out on it, and he made some excuse of standing around and couldn't find me anywhere, and he has to complete the order or I have to cancel it.
Absolutely ludicrous. Not Roll'd or DD's fault. Just that one idiot.
